Background The exudative form of age-related macular degeneration(AMD)is characterized by abnormal blood vessel growth,which is stimulated by vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)released from retinal pigment epithelium(RPE).The angiogenic behaviors of vascular endothelial cells in vitro depend on forkhead box protein P1(Foxp1),a transcription repressor widely expressed in human and murine tissues during *** this study,we aimed to determine whether loss of Foxp1 affects laser-induced choroidal neovascularization(CNV)in *** Eye-selective deletion of Foxp1 was obtained by crossing Foxp1flox/flox with Six3-Cre *** photocoagulation was delivered to six-to eight-week-old mice to induce *** expression of Foxp1 and Cre was determined by immunofluorescence in cryostat sections of the *** fluorescein angiography(FFA),optical coherence tomography(OCT),and B4 isolectin staining were applied to analyze the leakage,bulge height,and area of CNV lesions,***-choroid tissues were isolated for the determination of VEGF and pigment epithelium derived factor(PEDF)by Western *** Foxp1 was expressed in retinal ganglion cells,RPE,and the choroidal endothelial *** photocoagulation increased the number of Foxp1+-endothelial cells and induced ***3-Cre reduced Foxp1 expression in RPE but not the endothelium,leading to a lower level of VEGF in the ***1 knockout inhibited pathological angiogenesis and vascular leakage of the laser-induced CNV *** Foxp1 regulates the expression of VEGF in the RPE,and inhibition of Foxp1 could potentially be a novel strategy for the prevention and therapy of neovascularization related to AMD.

The North China district has been subjected to significant research with regard to the ore-forming dynamics,processes,and quantitative forecasting of gold deposits;it accounts for the highest number of gold reserves and annual products in *** on the top-level design of geoscience theory and the method adopted by the National Key R&D Project(deep process and metallogenic mechanism of North China Craton(NCC)metallogenic system),this paper systematically collects and constructs the geoscience data(district,camp,and deposit scales)in four key gold districts of North China(Jiaojia-Sanshandao,Southern Zhaoping,Wulong,and Qingchengzi).The settings associated with the geological dynamics of gold deposits were quantitatively and synthetically analyzed,namely:NCC destruction,metallogenic events,genetic models,and exploration ***-dimensional(3D)and four-dimensional(4D)geological modeling was performed using the big data on the districts,while the district-scale 3D exploration criteria were integrated to construct a quantitative exploration *** them,FLAC3D modelling and the Geo Cube software(version 3.0)were used to implement the numerical simulation of the 3D geological models and the constraints of the fluid saturation parameters of the Jiaojia fault to reconstruct the 4D fault structure models of the Jiaojia fault(with a depth of 5000 m).Using Geo Cube3.0,multiple integration modules(general weights of evidence(Wof E),Boost Wof E,Fuzzy Wof E,Logistic Regression,Information Entropy,and Random Forest)and exploration criteria were integrated,while the C-V fractal classification of A,B and C targets in four districts was carried *** research results are summarized in the following four areas:(1)Four gold districts in the study area have more than three targets(the depth is 3000 m),and the class A,B and C targets exhibit a good spatial correlation with gold bodies that are controlled by mining engineering at depths greater than 1000 m.(2)The Boost Wof

High-performance micro-electro-mechanical system(MEMS)gyrocompasses for north-finding systems have been very popular for *** this paper,a MEMS north-finding system(NFS)based on virtual maytagging(VM)is presented for the first *** stark contrast to previous schemes of MEMS-based NFSs(e.g.,carouseling,maytagging)and the abandoning rate table,we developed a honeycomb disk resonator gyroscope(HDRG)and two commercial accelerometers for azimuth *** of the physical rotation of the integrated turntable in traditional NFSs,the vibratory working modes of the HDRG are rotated periodically with electronic control to reduce the uncertainty in the *** systematically analyzing the principle of NFSs with VM,we designed tests to verify the practicability at the sensor level.A bias instability of 0.0078°/h can be obtained during one day with VM in an *** also implemented comparative north-finding experiments to further check our strategy at the system *** accuracy in the azimuth can reach 0.204°for 5 min at 28.2°latitude with VM and 0.172°with *** results show that without any mechanical turning parts,VM technology makes it possible to develop high-precision handheld MEMS NFSs.

A Highly Selective Colorimetric Sensor for Cu^2＋ Based on Phenolic Group Biscarbonyl Hydrazone

A novel copper selective sensor 2 based on hydrazide and salicylaldehyde has been designed and prepared. Sensor 2 behaves a single selectivity and sensitivity in the recognition for Cu2＋ over other metal ions such as Fe3＋, Hg2＋, Ag＋, Ca2＋, Zn2＋, Pb2＋, Cd2＋, Ni2＋, Co2＋, Cr3＋ and Mg2＋ in DMSO. The distinct color change and the rapid changement of fluorescence emission provide naked-eyes detection for Cu2＋. The UV-vis data indicate that 1 ： 2 stoichiometry complex is formed by sensor 2 and Cu2＋. The association constant Ks was 3.51 × 104 mol 1%. The detection limitation of Cu2＋ with the sensor 2 was 2.2 × 10.7 mol·L^-1. The sensing of Cu2＋ by this sensor was found to be reversible, with the Cu2＋-induced color being lost upon addition of EDTA.

Palaeoproterozoic Khondalite Belt in the western North China Craton: New evidence from SHRIMP dating and Hf isotope composition of zircons from metamorphic rocks in the Bayan Ul-Helan Mountains area

Zircom U-Pb age and Hf isotope analyses were made on gneissic granite and garnet-mica two-feldspar gneiss from the Helanshan Group in the Bayan Ul-Helan Mountains area, the western block of the North China Craton (NCC). Zircons from the gneissic granite commonly show core-mantle-rim structures, with magmatic core, metamorphic mantle and rim having ages of 2323±20 Ma, 1923±28 Ma and 1856±12 Ma, respectively. The core, mantle and rim show similar Hf isotope compositions, with single-stage depleted mantle model ages (TDM1) of 2455 to 2655 Ma (19 analyses). Most of the detrital zircons from the garnet-mica two-feldspar paragneiss have a concentrated U-Pb age distribution, with a weighted mean 207Pb/206Pb age of 1978±17 Ma. A few detrital zircons are older (2871 to 2469 Ma). The age for metamorphic overgrown rim was not determined because of strong Pb loss due to their high U content. The zircons show large variation in Hf isotope composition, with TDM1 ages of 1999 to 3047 Ma. In com- bination with previous studies, the main conclusions are as follows: (1) protolith of the khondalite se- ries in the Helanshan Group formed during Palaeoproterozoic rather than the Archaean as previously considered; (2) The results lend support to the contention that there is a huge Palaeoproterozoic Khondalite (metasedimentary) Belt between the Yinshan Mountains Block and the Ordos Block in the Western Block of NCC; (3) The widely-distributed bodies of early Palaeoproterozoic orthogneisses in the Khondalite Belt might be one of the important sources for detritus material in the khondalite series; (4) Collision between the Yinshan Block, the Ordos Block and the Eastern Block occurred in the same tectonothermal event of late Palaeoproterozoic, resulting in the final assembly of the NCC.

A highly selective colorimetric sensor for Hg^(2+) based on a copper (Ⅱ) complex of thiosemicarbazone in aqueous solutions

By applying an indirect strategy, a new copper （II） complex of a thiosemicarbazone L has been successfully developed as a colorimetric cbemosensor for the sensitive detection of mercury （II） ions. In the presence of copper （II） ions, the colorless so- lution of L became yellow; however, upon the addition of traces of mercury （II） ions, the yellow color faded to colorless im- mediately. Other ions, including Fe3＋, Ag＋, Ca2＋, Zn2＋, Pb2＋, Cd2＋, Ni2＋, Co2＋, Cr3＋ and Mg2＋ had a negligible influence on the probe behavior. The detection limits were 5.0×10^-6 M and 3.0×10^-7 M of Hg2＋ using the visual color changes and UV-vis changes respectively. Test strips based on Cu-L were fabricated, which could act as a convenient and efficient Hg2＋ test kits.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC) is the deadliest cancer mainly due to its proclivity to early metastasis and the lack of effective targeted therapeutic drugs. Hence, understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying early invasion and metastasis by PDAC is imperative for improving patient outcomes. The present study identified that upregulation of TSPAN8 expression in PDAC facilitates metastasis in vivo and in vitro. We found SOX9 as a key transcriptional regulator of TSPAN8 expression in response to EGF stimulation. SOX9 modulation was sufficient to positively regulate endogenous expression of TSPAN8, with concomitant in vitro phenotypic changes such as loss of cell–matrix adherence and increased invasion. Moreover, increased SOX9 and TSPAN8 levels were shown to correlate in human pancreatic cancer specimens, and downregulated in vitro by EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors. High expression of SOX9 and TSPAN8 has been associated with tumour stage, poor prognosis and poor patient survival in PDAC. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of the EGF-SOX9-TSPAN8 signalling cascade in the control of PDAC invasion and implies that TSPAN8 may be a promising novel therapeutic target for the treatment of PDAC.

A new method to calculate the productivity index for vertical fractured well of tight gas reservoir

Generally the irreducible water saturation of low permeability gas reservoir is quite high which leads to the permeability stress sensibility and threshold pressure gradient. Under the assumption that permeability varies with experimental law of the pseudo pressure drop, according to concepts of perturbable ellipses and equivalent developing regulations, the calculation method of stable production of hydraulically fractured gas well in low permeability reservoirs is investigated with threshold pressure. And productivity curve is drawn and analyzed. The result shows that, permeability modulus and threshold pressure have effect on production of fractured gas well. The higher the permeability modulus and the threshold pressure, the lower the production is. Therefore, the impact of stress sensitive and threshold pressure must he considered when analyzing the productivity of vertical fracture well in low permeability gas reservoir.

Based on well logging responses,sedimentary patterns and sandstone thickness,the distribution characteristics of meandering river sedimentary sand body of Neogene Minghuazhen Formation NmⅢ2 layer in the west of Shijiutuo Bulge,Chengning Uplift,Bohai Bay Basin were investigated.A new approach to calculate the occurrence of the sand-mudstone interfaces using resistivity log of horizontal well was advanced to solve the multiple solution problem of abandoned channel’s *** method uses the trigonometric function relationship between radius,dip and length of the resistivity log to calculate the occurrence qualitatively-quantitatively to help determine the true direction of the abandoned *** method can supplement and improve the architecture dissection technique for meandering river *** method was used to study the dip angle and scale of the lateral accretion layers in point bar quantitatively to help determine the spatial distribution of lateral accretion *** fine architecture model of underground meandering river reservoir in the study area has been *** from traditional grids,different grid densities for lateral accretion layers and bodies were used in this model by non-uniform upscaling to establish the inner architecture model of point-bars and realize industrial numerical simulation of the whole study *** research results can help us predict the distribution of remaining oil,tap remaining oil,and optimize the waterflooding in oilfields.
