A compressor test platform was designed in the purpose of easy assembly and cost-saving tests.New design concepts were firstly used on the test platform and iterative revisions were conducted to verify the effects,which decrease the risk of applying to the full annulus directly.The platform was a sector cascade that can be inserted into an otherwise full stator annulus,with a set of exchangeable endwall casing and blades manufactured by 3-D printing.The platform can create an operating condition which is closer to engine-realistic flow conditions than traditional cascade tests.The flow field of the prototype stator was tested in detail at the operating point and showed some flow defects in the tip region,and then three design plans were conducted to experimentally investigate which design concept could improve the blade tip flow.The concept of casing endwall profiling was the most effective one which markedly depressed the separation of the tip region and decreased the total pressure loss coefficient.The test results show that the design of the test platform was successful and promising,which could be used to conduct more researches on the flow mechanism of the middle stage.

Spectral-spatial Gabor filtering(GF),a robust feature extraction tool,has been widely investigated for hyperspectral image(HSI)classification.Recently,a new type of GF method,named phase-induced GF,which showed great potential for HSI feature extraction,was proposed.Although this new type of GF possibly better explores the frequency characteristics of HSIs,with a new parameter added,it generates a much larger amount of features,yielding redundancies and noises,and is therefore risky to severely deteriorate the efficiency and accuracy of classification.To tackle this problem,we fully exploit phase-induced Gabor features efficiently,proposing an efficient phase-induced Gabor cube selection and weighted fusion(EPCS-WF)method for HSI classification.Specifically,to eliminate the redundancies and noises,we first select the most representative Gabor cubes using a newly designed energy-based phase-induced Gabor cube selection(EPCS)algorithm before feeding them into classifiers.Then,a weighted fusion(WF)strategy is adopted to integrate the mutual information residing in different feature cubes to generate the final predictions.Our experimental results obtained on four well-known HSI datasets demonstrate that the EPCS-WF method,while only adopting four selected Gabor cubes for classification,delivers better performance as compared with other Gabor-based methods.The code of this work is available at https://***/cairlin5/EPCS-WF-hyperspectral-image-classification for the sake of reproducibility.

Classical Chinese Herbal Formulas in the Treatment of Coronary Heart Disease: A Narrative Review

Objective:To summarize the current evidence for 8 frequently prescribed Chinese herbal formulas(CHF)as treatments for angina pectoris in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)and the associated adverse reactions.Methods:Seven electronic databases were screened from their inception through July 2018 for all evidence related to classical CHF for the treatment of patients with CHD.Results:CHF improves CHD outcomes in terms of angina pectoris,electrocardiogram results,Chinese medicine syndromes and biomarkers iomarkers.The combination of CHF and Western medicine(WM)is more effective on CHD than WM alone.The use of CHF to treat CHD shows the same or better clinical effects as the use of WM alone.The 8 investigated CHF do not induce hepatic and renal toxicity or other serious adverse effects.Conclusions:The safety and efficacy of 8 frequently prescribed herbal formulas for treating CHD have been confirmed in many studies.The findings of these studies are positive but should be interpreted cautiously due to the poor methodological quality of the randomized controlled trials(RCTs)and meta-analyses.Additional high-quality,multi-center,large-sample RCTs should be performed to confirm these results.

冠状动脉粥样硬化性心脏病(简称冠心病)是由于冠状动脉粥样硬化使血管阻塞导致心肌缺血缺氧而引起的心脏疾病,以胸部疼痛为主要临床表现。目前,冠状动脉支架植入术(percutaneous coronary intervention,PCI)因其创伤小、疗效明确并且能够较迅速地缓解临床症状,被广大患者所接受,但也存在支架内再狭窄与支架内血栓等局限[1],发生冠心病PCI后心绞痛。

Stock Efficiency Evaluation Based on Multiple Risk Measures:A DEA-like Envelopment Approach

This paper proposes a new approach for stock efficiency evaluation based on multiple risk measures. A derived programming model with quadratic constraints is developed based on the envelopment form of data envelopment analysis(DEA). The derived model serves as an input-oriented DEA model by minimizing inputs such as multiple risk measures. In addition, the Russell input measure is introduced and the corresponding efficiency results are evaluated. The findings show that stock efficiency evaluation under the new framework is also effective. The efficiency values indicate that the portfolio frontier under the new framework is more externally enveloped than the DEA efficient surface under the standard DEA framework.

Coherent change detection(CCD) is an effective method to detect subtle scene changes that occur between temporal synthetic aperture radar(SAR) observations. Most coherence estimators are obtained from a Hermitian product based on local statistics. Increasing the number of samples in the local window can improve the estimation bias, but cause the loss of the estimated images spatial resolution. The limitations of these estimators lead to unclear contour of the disturbed region, and even the omission of fine change targets. In this paper, a CCD approach is proposed to detect fine scene changes from multi-temporal and multi-angle SAR image pairs. Multi-angle CCD estimator can improve the contrast between the change target and the background clutter by jointly accumulating singleangle alternative estimator results without further loss of image resolution. The sensitivity of detection performance to image quantity and angle interval is analyzed. Theoretical analysis and experimental results verify the performance of the proposed algorithm.

Impai red axonal deve lopment and degeneration underlie many debilitating diseases,including hereditary spastic paraplegia(HSP).HSPs are a heterogeneous group of neurogenetic disorders characterized by axonopathy of cortical motor neurons(Fink,2006;Blackstone et al.,2010).The axonal degeneration of these cortical projection neurons(PNs)in HSP patients disrupts the signals from brain to spinal motor neurons,leading to muscle weakness and spasticity.Since the discovery of the first HSP gene(SPAST)in 1999,over 80 distinct genetic loci associated with HSP have been identified.How the mutations of these divergent genes specifically result in axonal degeneration of cortical PNs remains largely unclear,which contributes to the lack of effective treatment to ameliorate,stop,or reverse axonal defects in HSPs.
