The advancement of direct seawater electrolysis is a significant step towards sustainable hydrogen production,addressing the critical need for renewable energy sources and efficient resource ***,direct seawater electrolysis has to face several challenges posed by the corrosiveness of highly concentrated chloride and the competitive chlorine evolution reaction(ClER).To overcome these issues,we designed a novel NiP_(2)@CoP electrocatalyst on a porous titanium microfiltration(Ti MF)*** obtained bifunctional NiP_(2)@CoP catalyst outperforms the Pt/C and IrO_(2),as evidenced by its low overpotentials of 192 and 425 mV at a current density of 500 mA·cm^(-2) for hydrogen evolution reaction(heR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)in alkaline seawater(1 M KOH+0.5 M NaCl),***,only 231 and 569 mV overpotentials are required at the current density of 1500 mA·cm^(-2) towards heR and OER in alkaline seawater,*** importantly,no ClER was observed,demonstrating its excellent selectivity to *** selection of porous Ti MF membrane as an electrode substrate further enhances the performance by providing a robust structure that promotes the fast generation and release of gas *** promising outcomes obtained with NiP_(2)@CoP catalysts on Ti MF support,therefore,pave the way for the commercial viability of direct seawater electrolysis technologies at industrial-level current densities.

Morphology-selective synthesis of active and durable gold catalysts with high catalytic performance in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol

A series of novel catalysts consisting of nanosized Au particles confined in micro-mesoporous ZSM-5/SBA-15 （ZSBA） materials with platelet （PL）, rod （RD）, and hexagonal-prism （HP） morphologies have been synthesized in situ. These catalysts possess both SBA-15 and ZSM-5 structures and exhibit excellent stability of their active sites by confinement of the Au nanoparticles （NPs） within ZSBA. The catalysts have been characterized in depth to understand their structure-property relationships. The gold NP dimensions and the pore structure of the catalysts, which were found to be sensitive to calcination temperature and synthetic conditions, are shown to play vital roles in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol. Au/ZSBA-PL, with short mesochannels （210 nm） and a large pore diameter （6.7 nm）, exhibits high catalytic performance in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol, whereas Au/ZSBA-HP and Au/ZSBA-RD, with long mesochannels and relatively smaller pore sizes, show poor catalytic activities. In the case of catalysts with different gold NP sizes, Au/ZSBA-PL-350 with an Au NP diameter of 4.0 nm exhibits the highest reaction rate constant （0.14 min-1） and turnover frequency （0.0341 s-1）. In addition, the effect of the reaction parameters on the reduction of 4-nitrophenol has been systematically investigated. A possible mechanism for 4-nitrophenol reduction over the Au/ZSBA catalysts is proposed.

The carboxylation of readily available organo halides with CO_(2)represents a practical strategy to afford valuable carboxylic ***,efficient carboxylation of inexpensive unactivated alkyl chlorides is still ***,we report the electro-reductive carboxylation of C–Cl bonds in unactivated chlorides and polyvinyl chloride with CO_(2).A variety of alkyl carboxylic acids are obtained in moderate to good yields under mild conditions with high ***,the utility of this electroreductive carboxylation is demonstrated with great potential in polyvinyl chloride(PVC)upgrading,which could convert discarded PVC from hydrophobic to hydrophilic functional *** experiments support the successive single electron reduction of unactivated chlorides to generate alkyl anion species and following nucleophilic attack on CO_(2)to give desired products.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) is known for its rapid progression and poor outcomes. China has the highest incidence and mortality in the world. Diagnoses made at early stages and accurate staging are associated with better outcomes, all of which can play a significant role in the selection of treatment protocols. ESCC is staged according to the widely accepted TNM system. Common imaging modalities used in staging ESCC before treatment include endoscopy, computed tomography(CT), positron emission tomography(PET) and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI). Endoscopic ultrasound is useful for staging tumor depth and nodal status. Narrow band imaging is valuable for early stage disease assessment. CT and PET provide additional valuable information regarding node and metastasis staging. The ability of MRI to delineate ESCC is continuously being improved and adds information regarding locoregional status to routine examinations.

Natural killer T cell lymphoma(NKTCL)is highly aggressive,with advanced stage patients poorly responding to intensive *** explore effective and safe treatment for newly diagnosed advanced stage NKTCL,we conducted a phase ll study of anti-metabolic agent pegaspargase plus PD-1 antibody sintilimab(NCT04096690).Twenty-two patients with a median age of 51 years(range,24-74)were enrolled and treated with induction treatment of pegaspargase 2500 IU/m2 intramuscularly on day 1 and sintilimab 200 mg intravenously on day 2 for 6 cycles of 21 days,followed by maintenance treatment of sintilimab 200 mg for 28 cycles of 21 *** complete response and overall response rate after induction treatment were 59%(95%Cl,43-79%)and 68%(95%Cl,47-84%),*** a median follow-up of 30 months,the 2 year progression-free and overall survival rates were 68%(95%Cl,45-83%)and 86%(95%Cl,63-95%),*** most frequently grade 3/4 adverse events were neutropenia(32%,n=7)and hypofibrinogenemia(18%,n=4),which were manageable and led to no discontinuation of *** proportion score of PD-L1,peripheral blood high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,and apolipoprotein A-l correlated with good response,while PD-1 on tumor infiltrating lymphocytes and peripheral Treg cells with poor response to pegaspargase plus sintilimab *** conclusion,the chemo-free regimen pegaspargase plus sintilimab was effective and safe in newly diagnosed,advanced stage *** lipid profle and immunosuppressive signature contributed to treatment resistance,providing an alternative therapeutic approach dual targeting fatty acid metabolism and CTLA-4 in NKTCL.

Objective To assess the net health effect caused by the consumption of specific marine species based on Benefit-Risk Analysis for Foods （BRAFO）-tiered approach. Methods Twenty species were collected from the Zhoushan Archipelago, China. Concentrations of n-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, methyl mercury （MeHg）, and dioxin-like compounds （DLCs） in the samples were analyzed for benefit risk assessment based on BRAFO-tiered approach. Results Based on the BRAFO-tiered approach, reference scenario （no intake） and alternative scenario （intake of specific species of 200 g/week） were determined. The exposure to MeHg/DLCs via alternative scenario of all studied species did not exceed provisional tolerable weekly/monthly intake. However, the adult population with high DLCs exposure in China would significantly exceed the upper limit of DLCs via an additional alternative scenario of some species such as Auxis thazard. The results of deterministic computation showed that alternative scenario of all studied species generated clear net beneficial effects on death prevention and child IQ gain. Conclusion The alternative scenario of all studied species could be recommended to population with average DLCs exposure, and the reference scenario of species with relatively high DLCs concentration could be recommended to population exposed to high DLCs.

High-nickel single-crystal layered oxide material has become the most promising cathode material for electric vehicle power battery due to its high energy ***,this material still suffers from structural degradation during cycling and especially the severe interfacial reactions at elevated temperatures that exacerbate irreversible capacity ***,a simple strategy was used to construct a dualfunction li_(1.5)Al_(0.5)Ge_(1.5)P_(3)O_(12)(LAGP)protective layer on the surface of the high-nickel single-crystal(SC)cathode material,leading to SC@LAGP *** strong Al-O bonding effectively inhibits the release of lattice oxygen(O)at elevated temperatures,which is supported by the positive formation energy of O vacancy from first-principal ***,theoretical calculations demonstrate that the appropriate amount of Al doping accelerates the electron and li^(+)transport,and thus reduces the kinetic *** addition,the LAGP protective layer alleviates the stress accumulation during cycling and effectively reduces the erosion of materials from the electrolyte decomposition at elevated *** obtained SC@LAGP cathode material demonstrates much enhanced cycling stability even at high voltage(4.6 V)and elevated temperature(55℃),with a high capacity retention of 91.3%after 100 *** work reports a simple dual-function coating strategy that simultaneously stabilizes the structure and interface of the single-crystal cathode material,which can be applied to design other cathode materials.

BACKGROUND The efficacy and safety of proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9(PCSK-9) inhibitors were confirmed by several clinical trials, but its effectiveness in routine clinical practice in China has not been evaluated. This study aims to describe the real world effectiveness of PCSK-9 inhibitors combined with statins compared with statins-based therapy among patients with very high risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease(ASCVD).METHODS This is a multi-center observational study, enrolled patients from 32 hospitals who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) from January to June in 2019. There are 453 patients treated with PCSK-9 inhibitors combined with statins in PCSK-9 inhibitor group and 2,610 patients treated with statins-based lipid lowering therapies in statins-based group. The lipid control rate and incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE) over six months were compared between two groups.A propensity score-matched(PSM) analysis was used to balance two groups on confounding factors. Survival analysis using Kaplan-Meier methods was applied for *** In a total of 3,063 patients, 89.91% of patients had received moderate or high-intensity statins-based therapy before PCI, but only 9.47% of patients had low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) levels below 1.4 mmol/L at baseline.
