The development of a simple and facile synthesis route is a highly desirable but challenging process in the fabrication of nanoscale hierarchical porous zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(ZIFs).Herein we describe a facile method for rapidly synthesizing hierarchically porous ZIF-90 nanocrystals(particle sizes of~300 nm)using hydroxyl double salts as intermediates at room *** as-synthesized ZIF-90 contained hierarchical porous structures developed using a crystalline interior and a random stack of multiple *** the morphology and particle size of ZIF-90 nanocrystals could be tuned by controlling the molar ratio of ICA/Zn^(2+).Note that the as-synthesized hierarchically porous ZIF-90 nanocrystals exhibited higher thermal stability compared with the conventional *** of the introduction of hierarchical porous structures,the resultant hierarchically porous ZIF-90 nanocrystals showed enhanced toluene adsorption capacity than those of conventional metal organic frameworks and zeolites.

Association between FOXO3A gene polymorphisms and human longevity： a meta-analysis

Numerous studies have shown associations between the FOXO3A gene, encoding the forkhead box 03 transcription factor, and human or specifically male longevity. However, the associations of specific FOXO3A polymorphisms with longevity remain inconclusive. We performed a meta-analysis of existing studies to clarify these potential associations. A comprehensive search was conducted to identify studies of FOXO3A gene polymorphisms and longevity. Pooled odds ratios （ORs） and 95% confidence intervals （Cls） were calculated by comparing the minor and major alleles. A total of seven articles reporting associations of FOXO3A polymorphisms with longevity were identified and included in this meta-analysis. These comprised 11 independent studies with 5241 cases and 5724 controls from different ethnic groups, rs2802292, rs2764264, rs13217795, rs1935949 and rs2802288 polymorphisms were associated with human longevity （OR = 1.36, 95% Cl = 1.10-1.69, P= 0.005; OR = 1.20, 95% CI = 1.04-1.37, P= 0.01; OR = 1.27, 95% CI = 1.10-1.46, P= 0.001; OR = 1.14, 95% CI = 1.01-1.27 and OR = 1.24, 95% CI = 1.07-1.43, P= 0.003, respectively）. Analysis stratified by gender indicated significant associations between rs2802292, rs2764264 and rs13217795 and male longevity （OR = 1.54, 95% Cl = 1.33-1.79, P〈 0.001; OR = 1.38, 95% Cl = 1,15-1.66, P= 0.001; and OR = 1.39, 95% Cl = 1.15-1.67, P= 0.001）, but rs2802292, rs2764264 and rs1935949 were not linked to female longevity. Moreover, our study showed no association between rs2153960, rs7762395 or rs13220810 polymorphisms and longevity. In conclusion, this meta-analysis indicates a significant association of five FOXO3A gene polymorphisms with longevity, with the effects of rs2802292 and rs2764264 being male-specific, Further investigations are required to confirm these findings.

The tradeoff between the strength and the fracture elongation in the high-strength Cu-Ni-Si alloy became a hot research topic ***-Ni-Si-(Ti) alloys were fabricated in a vacuum induction melting furnace to study the effects of titanium on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Cu-Ni-Si alloys with different thermo-mechanical *** homogenization at 900℃ for 4 h,hot-rolled by 80%,solution treatment at 970℃ for 2 h,cold-rolled by 50%,and finally aged at 450℃ for 180 min,the studied Cu-10 Ni-Si-2 Ti alloy achieved the hardness of HV 252.4,electrical conductivity of 23.6% IACS,tensile strength of 764.4 MPa,yield strength of 622.26 MPa,fracture elongation of 10.4%,and strength-elongation product of 7.95 GPa%,which are less than those of the studied Cu-10 Ni-2 Si *** addition of Ti contributed to refining the microstructure,suppressing the decreasing trend in mechanical properties after peak hardening,and arousing a primary substructure strengthening mechanism rather than the precipitation strengthening in Cu-Ni-Si *** findings provide essential understandings of the effects of the Ti on Cu-Ni-Si system alloys,and the designed Cu-Ni-Si alloys with highstrength and fracture elongation could fulfill some requirements of the electronic and electrical industry.

Clonal Strategy Algorithm Based on the Immune Memory

Based on the clonal selection theory and immune memory mechanism in the natural immune system, a novel artificial immune system algorithm, Clonal Strategy Algorithm based on the Immune Memory （CSAIM）, is proposed in this paper. The algorithm realizes the evolution of antibody population and the evolution of memory unit at the same time, and by using clonal selection operator, the global optimal computation can be combined with the local searching. According to antibody-antibody （Ab-Ab） affinity and antibody-antigen （Ab-Ag） affinity, the algorithm can allot adaptively the scales of memory unit and antibody population. It is proved theoretically that CSAIM is convergent with probability 1. And with the computer simulations of eight benchmark functions and one instance of traveling salesman problem （TSP）, it is shown that CSAIM has strong abilities in having high convergence speed, enhancing the diversity of the population and avoiding the premature convergence to some extent.

On the sand-blasting-treated titanium（Ti） substrate, the boron-doped diamond（BDD） electrodes with a wide potential window were prepared by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition（MPCVD）. The electrochemi- cal oxidation ratios of phenol at BDD/Ti electrodes at elevated temperatures（from 20 ℃ to 80 ℃） were examined by the chemical oxygen demand（COD） of phenol electrolyte during electrolysis. The results show that the COD removal was increased at high temperatures and the optimized temperature for enhancing the electrochemical oxidation ratio of phenol is 60 ℃. The mechanism for the temperature-dependent electrochemical oxidation ratios of phenol at the electrodes was investigated. The study would be favorable for further improving the performance of BDD/Ti elec- trodes, especially working at high temperatures.

The evolution of microstructure and mechanical properties during high-speed direct-chill casting in different Al–Mg_2Si in situ composites

The effect of high-speed direct-chill(DC) casting on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Al–Mg_2Si in situ composites and AA6061 alloy was investigated. The microstructural evolution of the Al–Mg_2Si composites and AA6061 alloy was examined by optical microscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). The results revealed that an increase of the casting speed substantially refined the primary Mg_2Si particles(from 28 to 12 μm), the spacing of eutectic Mg_2Si(from 3 to 0.5 μm), and the grains of AA6061 alloy(from 102 to 22 μm). The morphology of the eutectic Mg_2Si transformed from lamellar to rod-like and fibrous with increasing casting speed. The tensile tests showed that the yield strength, tensile strength, and elongation improved at higher casting speeds because of refinement of the Mg_2Si phase and the grains in the Al–Mg_2Si composites and the AA6061 alloy. High-speed DC casting is demonstrated to be an effective method to improve the mechanical properties of Al–Mg_2Si composites and AA6061 alloy billets.

The unique hot carrier-driven direct plasmonic photocatalysis of coinage metal nanomaterials(NMs)via energetic localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)in visible-light region has been explored in recent ***,the low photoinduced electron transfer efficiency and insufficient separation of electronhole pairs would severely preclude their widespread practical ***,we demonstrate an interesting plasmonic photocatalyst based on the construction of icosahedral(Ih)Au@C_(60) core-shell NMs,taking advantage of specific delocalizedπelectrons structure of a tight C_(60) shell and enhanced LSPR property of Ih Au ***,the pronounced interfacial interaction at junction region endows the obtained Au@C_(60) NMs with an outstanding photoinduced hot carrier-transmission during photocatalytic reaction,facilitating a remarkably higher(1.89 times)photocatalytic activity toward visible-light driven degradation of crystal violet(CV)dyes,as compared to bare Au ***,the photocatalytic activity of Ih Au@C_(60) NMs can be effectively optimized by changing the p H value of reaction solution,with the kinetic rate constant reaching the maximum value of 0.179 min^(-1) in pH011.4 solution,while 0.005 min^(-1) at ***,due to the protection of a tight C_(60) shell,the Ih Au@C_(60) NMs also possess excellent photocatalytic stability/reusability in recycling runs,holding great potential for the design of robust and high-performance plasmonic photocatalysts in repeated practical applications.

AIM: To investigate the inhibitory effects of amniotic membrane, polylactic acid membrane and chitosan membrane on scar formation following trabeculectomy. METHODS: A total of 24 New Zealand white rabbits (48 eyes) were randomly divided into 4 groups: amniotic membrane group, polylactic acid membrane group, chitosan membrane group, and control group, with 6 rabbits (12 eyes) in each group. The left eyes underwent routine trabeculectomy, and the right eyes were considered as controls. Amniotic membrane, polylactic acid membrane and chitosan membrane were respectively installed under sclera flap in three groups, but any treatment was not applied in control group. Intraocular pressure, conjunctival filtering bleb, and anterior chamber inflammation responses were monitored at day 1, 3, 7, 14, 28 and 56 post-operatively. Eyeball tissue underwent histopathological examination at day 56 post-operatively. RESULTS: Fibrocytes and inflammatory cells were reduced in amniotic membrane, polylactic acid membrane and chitosan membrane groups compared to that in control group. At day 1 post-operatively, intraocular pressure was decreased in three membrane groups compared to that in control group. At day 14 post-operatively, the intraocular pressure was decreased significantly, while it of three membrane groups was significantly lower than that of preoperative (P0.05). Filtering bleb of four groups was clearly observed at day 7 post-operatively, but there was no significant difference in pair-wise comparison. At day 28 and 56 post-operatively, filtering bleb in control group was significantly narrowed compared to that in three membrane groups (P <0.05), but there was no significant difference in pair-wise comparison of three membrane groups.
