Polysulfide/ferricyanide flow batteries （S/Fe RFBs）,with the advantages of abundant earth reservation low cost,high safety,and environmental friendliness,have attracted significant interest and demonstrated noteworthy potential for practical ***,the battery performance,including the energy efficiency （EE）,voltage efficiency （VE）,and power density of the S/Fe RFBs remains low owing to the slow redox kinetics of polysulfide *** address these concerns,WS2was selected as the booster and deposited on a commercial carbon felt electrode （WS2–CF） to stimulate the redox reactions of polysulfide *** better hydrophilicity and smaller charge-transfer resistance,WS2–CF exhibits enhanced electrochemical activity toward polysulfide redox ***,the battery performance of S/Fe RFB with WS2–CF as the anode has been improved,with EE of 84%,VE of 84%,and a peak power density of 175.7 mW·cm-2,which are all higher than the cell only with the bare carbon felt （CF） as electrodes (76%,77% and 155.8 mW·cm-2,respectively).furthermore,the cycling life of the S/Fe RFB with WS2–CF has been prolonged to 2200 cycles with a capacity retention of 96% a 40 mA·cm-2because of the good stability of WS2–CF as the ***,under the same conditions,the S/Fe RFB without WS2–CF terminated after 1500 cycles with a fast capacity *** successful utilization of WS2as a booster on an electrode provides an efficient strategy for obtaining advanced S/Fe RFBs for practical applications.

X-ray excited photodynamic therapy(X-PDT)is the bravo answer of photodynamic therapy(PDT)for deep-seated tumors,as it employs X-ray as the irradiation source to overcome the limitation of light penetration ***,high X-ray irradiation dose caused organ lesions and side effects became the major barrier to X-PDT *** address this issue,this work employed a classic-al co-precipitation reaction to synthesize NaLuF_(4):15%Tb^(3+)(NLF)with an average particle size of(23.48±0.91)nm,which was then coupled with the photosensitizer merocyanine 540(MC540)to form the X-PDT system NLF-MC540 with high production of singlet *** system could induce antitumor efficacy to about 24%in relative low dose X-ray irradiation range(0.1-0.3 Gy).In vivo,when NLF-MC540 irradiated by 0.1 Gy X-ray,the tumor inhibition percentage reached 89.5%±5.7%.The therapeutic mechanism of low dose X-PDT was found.A significant increase of neutrophils in serum was found on the third day after *** immunohistochemical staining of tumor sections,the Ly6G^(+),CD8^(+),and CD11c^(+)cells infiltrated in the tumor microenvironment were *** the bilat-eral tumor model,the NLF-MC540 with 0.1 Gy X-ray irradiation could inhibit both the primary tumor and the distant tumor ***-tected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(EliSA),two cytokines IFN-γand TNF-αin serum were upregulated 7 and 6 times than negative control,*** by enzyme linked immune spot assay(EliSPOT),the number of immune cells attributable to the IFN-γand TNF-αlevels in the group of low dose X-PDT were 14 and 6 times greater than that in the negative control group,***,it conclude that low dose X-PDT system could successfully upregulate the levels of immune cells,stimulate the secretion of cy-tokines(especially IFN-γand TNF-α),activate antitumor immunity,and finally inhibit colon tumor growth.

In the background of the green transformation of the economy and society,the ESG performance of enterprises has been paid more and more attention in the investment ***,previous studies have inadequately explored how the ESG performance affects corporate financing *** on the information asymmetry theory,this paper analyzes the impact mechanism of ESG performance on corporate financing ***,taking 1044 A-share listed companies in2016–2020 as a sample,through the sorting and analysis of ESG report disclosure and rating data,the company’s ESG performance indicators are obtained,and an empirical model is built to test the relationship between ESG performance and corporate financing *** paper constructs a panel regression model using ESG rating data and corporate financial data and finds that in the overall sample,the higher the ESG performance,the lower the equity financing cost;The higher the ESG performance,the lower the debt financing *** addition,it also discussed the moderating effect of enterprise scale and media attention on the impact of ESG performance on enterprise financing *** empirical results show that the influence of company size on ESG performance on financing costs has a moderating effect and a positive moderating effect.

One-way quantum computation focuses on initially generating an entangled cluster state followed by a sequence of measurements with classical communication of their individual ***,a delayed-measurement approach has been applied to replace classical communication of individual measurement *** this work,by considering the delayed-measurement approach,we demonstrate a modified one-way CNOT gate using the on-cloud superconducting quantum computing platform:*** modified protocol for one-way quantum computing requires only three qubits rather than the four used in the standard *** this modified cluster state decreases the number of physical qubits required to implement one-way computation,both the scalability and complexity of the computing process are *** to previous work,this modified one-way CNOT gate is superior to the standard one in both fidelity and resource *** have also numerically compared the behavior of standard and modified methods in large-scale one-way quantum *** results suggest that in a noisy intermediate-scale quantum(NISQ)era,the modified method shows a significant advantage for one-way quantum computation.

ObjectiveTo explore the regulatory effect of Pien Tze Huang (PZH) on targeting partner of NOB1 (PNO1) and it’s down-stream mediators in colorectal cancer (CRC) *** polymerase chain reaction was performed to determine mRNA levels of PNO1, TP53, and CDKN1A. Western blotting was performed to determine protein levels of PNO1, p53, and p21. HCT-8 cells were transduced with a lentivirus over-expressing PNO1. Colony formation assay was used to detect cell survival in PNO1 overexpression of HCT-8 cells after PZH treatment. Cell-cycle distribution, cell viability and cell apoptosis were performed to identify the effect of PNO1 overexpression on cell proliferation and apoptosis of HCT-8 cells after PZH treatment. Xenograft BALB/c nude mice bearing HCT116 cells transduced with sh-PNO1 or sh-Ctrl lentivirus were evaluated. Western blot assay was performed to detect PNO1, p53, p21 and PCNA expression in tumor sections. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labling (TUNEL) assay was used to determine the apoptotic cells in *** treatment decreased cell viability, down-regulated PNO1 expression, and up-regulated p53 and p21 expressions in HCT-8 cells (Plity, cell cycle arrest and cell apoptosis in vitro (Pliminated the effects of PZH treatment on tumor growth, inhibiting cell proliferation inhibition and apoptosis induction in vivo (Pliferative effect is at least in part by regulating the expression of PNO1 and its downstream targets p53 and p21.

Background: Glycine dehydrogenase(GLDC) plays an important role in the initiation and proliferation of several human cancers. In this study, we aimed to detect the methylation status of GLDC promoter and its diagnostic value for hepatitis B virus-associated hepatocellular carcinoma(HBV-HCC). Methods: We enrolled 197 patients, 111 with HBV-HCC, 51 with chronic hepatitis B(CHB), and 35 healthy controls(HCs). The methylation status of GLDC promoter in peripheral mononuclear cells(PBMCs) was identified by methylation specific polymerase chain reaction(MSP). The mRNA expression was examined using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(q PCR). Results: The methylation frequency of the GLDC promoter was significantly lower in HBV-HCC patients(27.0%) compared to that in CHB patients(68.6%) and HCs(74.3%)( P < 0.001). The methylated group had lower alanine aminotransferase level( P = 0.035) and lower rates of tumor node metastasis(TNM) Ⅲ/Ⅳ( P = 0.043) and T3/T4( P = 0.026). TNM stage was identified to be an independent factor for GLDC promoter methylation. GLDC mRNA levels in CHB patients and HCs were significantly lower than those in HBV-HCC patients( P = 0.022 and P < 0.001, respectively). GLDC mRNA levels were significantly higher in HBV-HCC patients with unmethylated GLDC promoters than those with methylated GLDC promoters( P = 0.003). The diagnostic accuracy of alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) combined with GLDC promoter methylation for HBV-HCC was improved compared with that of AFP alone(AUC: 0.782 vs. 0.630, P < 0.001). In addition, GLDC promoter methylation was an independent predictor for overall survival of HBV-HCC patients( P = 0.038). Conclusions: The methylation frequency of GLDC promoter was lower in PBMCs from HBV-HCC patients than that from patients with CHB and HCs. The combination of AFP and GLDC promoter hypomethylation significantly improved the diagnostic accuracy of HBV-HCC.

Based on a comprehensive review of domestic and foreign literature, this article discusses the technical difficulties and development status of enhanced geothermal system(EGS) concerning the thermal energy extraction of deep hot dry rock(HDR) reservoirs and proposes suggestions for the research focus of numerical simulation of HDR reservoir stimulation. Additionally, it summarizes the existing methods and mainstream working fluids for HDR reservoir stimulation. The article emphasizes the significance of factors such as well location, production well depth, artificial fracture orientation, and complexity in optimizing the thermal production efficiency of the EGS. furthermore, this article delves into a detailed discussion on the influence of fracture spacing, fracture permeability,fracture length, fluid injection rate, and injected fluid temperature on the performance of the EGS. In light of the thermo-hydro-mechanical coupling challenges associated with high-temperature reservoirs, it is suggested that future research efforts should focus on investigating the impact of thermo-induced stresses on the stability of the artificial fracture network within the EGS during long-term(>30 years) circulation of hot and cold fluids.

Low-cost photovoltaic materials are essential for realizing large-scale commercial applications of organic solar cells(OSCs).However,highly efficient OSCs based on low-cost photovoltaic materials are scarce due to a deficiency in understanding the structure-property ***,we investigated two low-cost terthiophene-based electron acceptors,namely,3TC8 and 3TEH,with 3,4-bis(octan-3-yloxy)thiophene,differing only in the alkylated *** acceptors exhibit low optical gaps(∼1.43 eV)and possess deep highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)levels(∼−5.8 eV).Notably,the single-crystal structure of 3TEH demonstrates highly planar conjugated backbone and strongπ-πstacking between intermolecular terminal groups,attributed to the presence of the bulky alkylated noncovalently conformational *** utilizing both acceptors to fabricate OSCs,the 3TC8-based device exhibited a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 11.1%,while the 3TEH-based OSC demonstrated an excellent PCE of 14.4%.This PCE is the highest among OSCs based on terthiophene-containing electron *** results offer a new strategy for designing low-cost electron acceptors for highly efficient OSCs.

BACKGROUND Pulmonary fibrosis(PF)is a chronic interstitial lung disease characterized by fibroblast proliferation and extracellular matrix formation,causing structural damage and lung *** cell therapy and mesenchymal stem cells-extracellular vesicles(MSC-EVs)offer new hope for PF *** To investigate the therapeutic potential of MSC-EVs in alleviating fibrosis,oxidative stress,and immune inflammation in A549 cells and bleomycin(BLM)-induced mouse *** The effect of MSC-EVs on A549 cells was assessed by fibrosis markers[collagen I andα-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA),oxidative stress regulators[nuclear factor E2-related factor 2(Nrf2)and heme oxygenase-1(HO-1),and inflammatory regu-lators[nuclear factor-kappaB(NF-κB)p65,interleukin(IL)-1β,and IL-2].Similarly,they were assessed in the lungs of mice where PF was induced by BLM after MSC-EV ***-EVs ion PF mice were detected by pathological staining and western ***-cell RNA sequencing was performed to investigate the effects of the MSC-EVs on gene expression profiles of macrophages after modeling in *** Transforming growth factor(TGF)-β1 enhanced fibrosis in A549 cells,significantly increasing collagen I andα-SMA ***,treatment with MSC-EVs demonstrated a remarkable alleviation of these ***,the expression of oxidative stress regulators,such as Nrf2 and HO-1,along with inflammatory regulators,including NF-κB p65 and IL-1β,were mitigated by MSC-EV ***,in a parallel manner,MSC-EVs exhibited a downregulatory impact on collagen deposition,oxidative stress injuries,and inflammatory-related cytokines in the lungs of mice with ***,the mRNA sequencing results suggested that BLM may induce PF in mice by upregulating pulmonary collagen fiber deposition and triggering an immune inflammatory *** findings collectively highlight the potential therapeutic efficacy of MSC-EVs in ameliorating fibrotic processes,oxidative stres
