Occurrence and bioaccumulation of polybrominated diphenyl ethers in sediments and paddy ecosystems of liaohe River Basin, northeast China

Concentrations of 16 polybrominated diphenyl ether（PBDE） congeners were measured in river sediments, paddy soils and three species of paddy-field organisms（crab, loach and carp） collected from the liaohe River Basin, northeastern China. The total contents of PBDEs（∑_（16）PBDEs） in sediments and paddy soils were in the ranges of 273.4–3246.3 pg/g dry weight（dw）, and 192.1–1783.8 pg/g dw, respectively. BDE 209 was the dominant congener both in sediments and paddy soils. The concentrations of ∑_（16）PBDEs in sediments were significantly higher than those in the adjacent paddy soils, indicating a potential transport of PBDEs from river to paddy ecosystems via river water irrigation. The biota–soil accumulation factor（BSAF） was calculated as the ratio between the lipid-normalized concentration in paddyfield organisms and the total organic carbon-normalized concentration in paddy soil. The average BSAF values of ∑15PBDEs followed the sequence of crab（3.6）〉 loach（3.3）〉 carp（2.1）. BDE 154 had the highest BSAF value, and a parabolic trend between BSAF values of individual PBDE congeners and their log KOWvalues was observed. In view of the fact that crab had the larger BSAF value and higher lipid content, the ecological risk and health risk for crab cultivation in paddy fields should be of particular concern.

In this paper, we establish the existence of the minimal L（p > 1） solution of backward stochastic differential equations（BSDEs） where the time horizon may be finite or infinite and the generators have a non-uniformly linear growth with respect to t. The main idea is to construct a sequence of solutions {（Y, Z）} which is a Cauchy sequence in S× Mspace, and finally we prove {（Y, Z）} converges to the L（p > 1） solution of BSDEs.

Carbon monoxide can cause serious illness or even death if the functionality of smoke alarms fails in the residential home and, in fact, more than 350 persons die every year due to the leak of carbon monoxide. However, vulnerabilities and threats to smoke/CO alarms have not been well-studied. In this paper, through interconnect, a power replay attack has been studied in order to trigger a false alarm. The experimental results demonstrate the smoke alarm can be manipulated. This paper also concentrates on providing a sequence of security methods to defend the smoke alarm system. In future, how to protect smart detectors against attacks will be studied as this can force them to leave high-quality mode of operations.

目的分析慢性阻塞性肺疾病(chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,COPD)患者肌肉与脂肪状况,并探讨其与疾病发展过程的相关性。方法选取COPD患者118例(研究组)与健康体检者97例(对照组),采用生物电阻抗、身高体重计测定两组患者的体重指数(body mass index,BMI)、去脂体重(fat-free mass,FFM)、骨骼肌(skeletal muscle mass,SMM)、四肢骨骼肌指数(appendicular skeletal muscle height index,ASMHI)、体脂率(percent body fat,PBF)、内脏脂肪面积(visceral fat area,VFA)、腰围(waist circumference,WaistCir)、上臂围(arm circumference,AC)、上臂肌围(arm muscle circumference,AMC)、相位角(phase angle,PA)等指标,并进行对比分析;同时收集COPD患者的基本信息、实验室指标及入院肺功能检查数据等,进行相关性分析;根据全球领导人营养不良倡议(Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition,GliM)诊断标准,找出FFM在营养不良诊断中的最佳截断值。结果研究组患者FFM、SMM、双下肢肌肉、ASMHI及AMC均低于对照组(PliM诊断结果显示,50.8%COPD患者存在营养不良,其中FFM预测营养不良的最佳截断值为47.85kg。结论COPD患者易出现肌肉和脂肪分布不平衡。FFM与GliM诊断的一致性对早期识别和诊断营养不良有重要的临床意义。

The malicious activity comes in many forms, but many can come through trusted applications that we commonly use. Current systems have the capability to reduce damages, but implementations for the reduction are either outside of the system or are implemented in a manner that is unintuitive or confusing to users. In this paper, an access control method has been proposed that focuses on the alleviation of damage caused by such applications through the interactions between the user, application, and computer system. In details, the proposed model would work as a module or an interceptor to delegate permissions to applications through user input by using existing system calls. The evaluation about the proposed model as well as the first step implementation can show better security protection than existing systems.

Human mobility prediction is important for many ***,training an accurate mobility prediction model requires a large scale of human trajectories,where privacy issues become an important *** rising federated learning provides us with a promising solution to this problem,which enables mobile devices to collaboratively learn a shared prediction model while keeping all the training data on the device,decoupling the ability to do machine learning from the need to store the data in the ***,existing federated learningbased methods either do not provide privacy guarantees or have vulnerability in terms of privacy *** this paper,we combine the techniques of data perturbation and model perturbation mechanisms and propose a privacy-preserving mobility prediction algorithm,where we add noise to the transmitted model and the raw data collaboratively to protect user privacy and keep the mobility prediction *** experimental results show that our proposed method significantly outperforms the existing stateof-the-art mobility prediction method in terms of defensive performance against practical attacks while having comparable mobility prediction performance,demonstrating its effectiveness.

The development and wider adoption of smart home technology also created an increased requirement for safe and secure smart home environments with guaranteed privacy constraints. In this paper, a short survey of privacy and security in the more broad smart-world context is first presented. The main contribution is then to analyze and rank attack vectors or entry points into a smart home system and propose solutions to remedy or diminish the risk of compromised security or privacy. Further, the usability impacts resulting from the proposed solutions are evaluated. The smart home system used for the analysis in this paper is a digital- STROM installation, a home-automation solution that is quickly gaining popularity in central Europe, the findings, however, aim to be as solution independent as possible.

Objective： To explore whether the graft-versus-leukemia （GVL） effects could be enhanced and acute graft-versus-host disease （aGVHD） could be relieved by syngeneic bone marrow mixed with G-CSF-primed H-2 haploidentical marrow grafting. Methods： Female L615 （H-2^k） mice were recipient mice and male （615×BALB/c） F1 （6BF1）（H-2^k×H-2^d） mice were donors respectively. Donor mice were injected subcutaneously with G-CSF daily at 0.01 μg/g for 6 days, and splenocytes were harvested on day 7. A total of 615 mice were loaded with L615 tumor cells and received 8.5 Gy （^60Co γ-ray） irradiation three days later, followed by a mixed bone marrow transplantation （MBMT）. The allo-grafts consisted of a mixture of syngenetic plus G-CSF-mobilized （control diluents） H-2 haploidetical marrow cells. GVL effects were monitored by survival time and survival rate of recipient mice. GVHD was assessed by clinical signs of weight loss, ruffled fur, diarrhea and histological changes of skin, liver and small intestines. AIIogeneic chimerism was detected using cytogenetic analysis. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （EliSA） method was used to detect cytokines （IL-2, IL-4 and IFN-γ）. Fluorescence-activated cell sorting （FACS） analysis was used to detect T-cell phenotype. Results：（1） The mice merely received L615 leukemia cells were all died of leukemia. The L6t5 mice of 3：1 and 4：1 MBMT groups survived longer than those post syngeneic BMT （P 〈 0.01）. （2） The survival time of mice in the G-CSF-treated MBMT groups was longer than that of non-primed MBMT groups （P 〈 0.05）. Administration of G-CSF-treated 6BF1 mice could markedly increase the survival rate of 3：1 and 4：1 MBMT mice （P 〈 0.01） with little or a little GVHD. （3） As the post-transplanted time prolonged, the rates of allogeneic chimerism were decreased. The chimerism rates decreased to zero when the mice died of leukemia relapse. （4） L3T4^＋ cells and relative ratio in both subsets were significantly reduced in G-CSF-treated donor mice. After

This paper reviews the recent progress in the synthesis of near-infrared(NIR) lead chalcogenide(PbX;PbX = PbS,PbSe, PbTe) quantum dots(QDs) and their applications in NIR QDs based light emitting diodes(NIR-QLEDs). It summarizes the strategies of how to synthesize high efficiency PbX QDs and how to realize high performance Pb X based NIR-QLEDs.
