In this paper, the effect of hydrogen reduction of silver ions on the performance and structure of new solid polymer electrolyte polyetherimide （PEI）/Pebax2533 （Polynylonl2/tetramethylene oxide block copolymer, PA12-PTMO）/AgBF4 composite membranes is investigated. For PEI/Pebax2533/AgBF4 composite membranesprepared with dillerent AgBF4 concentration, the permeances of propylene and ethylene increase with the increase of AgBF4 concentration due to the carrier-facilitated transport, resulting in a high selectivity. But for propyl- ene/propane mixture, the mixed-gas selectivity is lower than its ideal selectivity. The hydrogen reduction strongly influences the membrane performance, which causes the decrease of propylene permeance and the increase of pro-pane permeance. With the increase of hydrogen reduction time, the membranes show a clearly color change from white to brown, yielding a great selectivity loss. The data of X-ray diffraction and FT-IR prove that silver ions are reduced to Ago after hydrogen reduction, and aggregated on the surface of PEI/Pebax2533/AgBF4 composite mem- branes.

With the Breit interaction and quantum electrodynamics corrections considered, relativistic configuration interaction calculations have been carried out in the extended optimal level scheme using multi-configuration Dirac-Fock wave functions on the 204 energy levels and electric dipole transitions of Ar XIV. The results of electric dipole transitions are in good agreement with experiments. Among the energy levels calculated, the lowest 125 levels are in good agreement with available experimental and other theoretical ones, and the other 79 levels are new ones obtained by the present work. This wide range of atomic energy levels is useful in astrophysics and plasma physics.

Objective To study whether Lycium barbarurn glycopeplide 3 （LBGP3） affects T cell apoptosis in aged mice. Methods LBGP3 was purified with DEAE cellulose and Sephadex columns. Apoptotic ＂sub-G1 peak＂ was detected by flow cytometry and DNA ladder was resolved by agarose gel electrophoresis. Levels of IFN-7 and IL-10 were measured with specific kits and mRNA expression was detected by RT-PCR. Apoptosis-related proteins of FliP, FasL, and Bcl-2 were determined by Western blotting. Results LBGP3 was purified from Fructus Lycii water extracts and identified as a 41 kD glycopeptide. Treatment with 200 p.g/mL LBGP3 increased the apoptotic rate of T cells from aged mice and showed a similar DNA ladder pattern to that in young T cells. The reversal of apoptotic resistance was involved in down-regulating the expression of Bcl-2 and FliP, and up-regulating the expression of FasL. Conclusion Lycium barbarum glycopeptide 3 reverses apoptotic resistance of aged T cells by modulating the expression of apoptosis-related molecules.

BACKGROUND： Continuous regional arterial infusion（CRAI） is a drug delivery system, which dramatically increases the drug concentration in the pancreas. Previous clinical and basic studies have demonstrated the possible therapeutic efficacy of CRAI for severe acute pancreatitis（SAP）. This meta-analysis of all published randomized controlled trials（RCTs） was conducted to assess the efficacy and safety of CRAI for the treatment of SAP. DATA SOURCES： Up to August 10, 2014, RCTs comparing CRAI with intravenous infusion for SAP in PubM ed, Embase, EBSCO, MEDliNE, Science Citation Index Expanded, Cochrane library, China Academic Journals Full-Text Database, Chinese Biomedical literature Database, and Chinese Scientific Journals Database were selected by two independent reviewers. The relative risk（RR） and their 95% confidence intervals（CI） for duration of elevated serum amylase and urine amylase, duration of abdominal pain, infection rate, incidence of complication, overall mortality, curative rate, hospital stay and details of subgroup analysis were extracted. Meta-analyses were made using the software Review Manager（RevM an version 5.10）.RESULTS： Six RCTs with 390 patients meeting the inclusion criteria were included in the final analysis. Compared with intravenous infusion route, CRAI significantly shortened the duration of elevated urine amylase（MD=-2.40, 95% CI=-3.20,-1.60; P〈0.00001） and the duration of abdominal pain（MD=-1.46, 95% CI=-1.94,-0.98; P〈0.00001）, decreased the incidence of complication（RR=0.35, 95% CI=0.15, 0.81; P=0.01） and overall mortality（RR=0.25, 95% CI=0.08, 0.78;P=0.02）, shortened the duration of hospital stay（MD=-10.36, 95% CI=-17.05,-3.68; P=0.002）, and increased the curative rate（RR=1.66, 95% CI=1.13, 2.46; P=0.01）. No mortality and catheter-related infections due to CRAI administration was reported in these studies. AIM： To investigate the effect of admission hypertriglyceridemia （HTG） on the episodes of severe acute pancreatitis （SAP）. METHODS： One hundred and seventy-six patients with SAP were divided into HTG group （n = 45） and control group （n = 131） according to admission triglyceride （TG） ≥ 5.65 mmol/L and 〈 5.65 retool/L, respectively. Demographics, etiology, underlying diseases, biochemical parameters, Ranson＇ s score, acute physiology and chronic heath evaluation Ⅱ （APACHE Ⅱ） score, Balthazar＇s computed tomography （CT） score, complications and mortality were compared. Correlation between admission TG and 24-h APACHE Ⅱ score was analyzed. RESULTS： SAP patients with HTG were younger （40.8 ± 9.3 years vs 52.6 ± 13.4 years, P 〈 0.05） with higher etiology rate of overeating, high-fat diet （40.0% vs 14.5%, P 〈 0.05） and alcohol abuse （46.7% vs 23.7%, P 〈 0.01）, incidence rate of hypocalcemia （86.7% vs 63.4%, P 〈 0.01） and hypoalbuminemia （84.4% vs 60.3%, P 〈 0.01）, 24-h APACHE Ⅱ score （13.6 ± 5.7 vs 10.7 ± 4.6, P 〈 0.01） and admission serum glucose （17.7 ± 7.7 vs 13.4 ± 6.1, P 〈 0.01）, complication rate of renal failure （51.1% vs 16.8%, P 〈 0.01）, shock （37.9% vs 14.5%, P 〈 0.01） and infection （37.4% vs 18.3%, P 〈 0.01） and mortality （13.1% vs 9.1%, P 〈 0.01）. Logistic regression analysis showed a positive correlation between admission TG and 24-h APACHE Ⅱ score （r = 0.509, P = 0.004）.CONCLUSION： The clinical features of SAP patients with HTG are largely consistent with previous studies, HTG aggravates the episodes of SAP.

AIM:To investigate the effect of Chai-Qin-Cheng-Qi Decoction(CQCQD)on cefotaxime(CTX)concentration in pancreas of rats with acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP). METHODS:Sixty healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly into an ANP group(ANP model +CTX,n=20),treatment group(ANP model+CTX +CQCQD,n=20)and control group(normal rats+ CTX,n=20).ANP models were induced by retrograde intraductal injection of 3.5%sodium taurocholate (1 mL/kg),and the control group was injected intraductally with normal *** rats were injected introperitoneally with 0.42 g/kg CTX(at 12-h intervals for a continuous 72 h)at 6 h after intraductal injection. Meanwhile,the treatment group received CQCQD (20 mL/kg)intragastrically at 8-h intervals,and the ANP and control group were treated intragastrically with normal *** 15 min after the last CTX injection,blood and pancreas samples were collected for the determination of CTX concentration using validated high-performance liquid chromatography. Pathological changes and wet-to-dry-weight(W/D) ratio of pancreatic tissue were examined. RESULTS:Serum CTX concentrations in three groups were not significantly *** CTXconcentration and penetration ratio were lower in ANP group vs control group(4.4±0.6μg/mL vs 18.6± 1.7μg/mL,P=0.000;5%vs 19%,P=0.000),but significantly higher in treatment group vs ANP group (6.4±1.7μg/mL vs 4.4±0.6μg/mL,P=0.020;7% vs 5%,P=0.048).The histological scores and W/D ratio were significantly decreased in treatment group vs ANP and control group. CONCLUSION:CQCQD might have a promotive effect on CTX concentration in pancreatic tissues of rats with ANP.

AIM: To investigate the effect of Chaiqinchengqi decoction (CQCQD) on sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase (SERCA) mRNA expression of pancreatic tissues in acute pancreatitis (AP) rats. METHODS: Thirty Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomized into control group, AP group and CQCQD group (n = 3 × 10). The rats in the CQCQD group were intragastrically administered with CQCQD (10 mL/kg every 2 h) after induction of AP by intraperitoneal injection of caerulein (50 μg/kg.h × 5) within 4 h. At 6 h after the induction of AP model, pancreatic tissues were collected for the pathological observation, mRNA extraction for determination of SERCA1 and SERCA2 mRNA expression or pancreatic acinar cell isolation for measurement of fluorescence intensity (FI) of intracellular calcium ion concentration [Ca2+]i. RESULTS: There was no expression of pancreatic SERCA1 mRNA in the control group and the AP group. The expression of pancreatic SERCA2 mRNA in the AP group was down-regulated (expression ratio = 0.536; P = 0.001) compared with the control group, while that in the CQCQD group was up-regulated (expression ratio= 2.00; P = 0.012) compared with AP group. The FI of intracellular [Ca2+] of pancreatic acinar cells in the AP group (138.2 ± 23.1) was higher than the C group (111.0 ± 18.4) and the CQCQD group (118.7 ± 15.2 ) (P lieve pancreatic tissue lesions.

针对涡旋压缩机平衡铁随主轴旋转时产生的阻力损失问题,提出了圆角结构及机翼型结构平衡铁。运用Fluent有限元分析软件,结合滑移网格技术对平衡铁工作区域模拟,研究了3种不同结构平衡铁所受的压差阻力矩和摩擦阻力矩,对比分析了不同结构产生的阻力矩大小。结果表明:压差阻力矩占总阻力矩的90%以上,总阻力矩随转速的增大而增大;相对于样机平衡铁,前后端面为圆角的平衡铁总阻力矩减小了30%~50%之间;机翼型平衡铁总阻力矩减小了55%~65%之间。

AIM:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of alanyl- glutamine dipeptide (AGD) in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) in early and advanced stage. METHODS: Eighty patients with SAP were randomized and received 100 mL/d of 20% AGD intravenously for 10 d starting either on the day of (early treatment group) or 5 d after (late treatment group) admission. Groups had similar demographics, underlying diseases, Ranson score, Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ) score, and Balthazar’s computed tomography (CT) score at the beginning of the study and underwent similar other medical and nutritional management. RESULTS: The duration of acute respiratory distress syndrome (2.7 ± 3.3 d vs 12.7 ± 21.0 d, P lity (5.3% vs 21.1%, P linical outcome in SAP patients.

Rediscovery and analysis of Phytophthora carbohydrate esterase(CE) genes revealing their evolutionary diversity

A continuous co-evolutionary arms-race between pathogens and their host plants promotes the development of pathogenic factors by microbes, including carbohydrate esterase(CE) genes to overcome the barriers in plant cell walls. Identification of CEs is essential to facilitate their functional and evolutionary investigations; however, current methods may have a limit in detecting some conserved domains, and ignore evolutionary relationships of CEs, as well as do not distinguish CEs from proteases. Here, candidate CEs were annotated using conserved functional domains, and orthologous gene detection and phylogenetic relationships were used to identify new CEs in 16 oomycete genomes, excluding genes with protease domains. In our method, 41 new putative CEs were discovered comparing to current methods, including three CE4, 14 CE5, eight CE12, five CE13, and 11 CE14. We found that significantly more CEs were identified in Phytophthora than in Hyaloperonospora and Pythium, especially CE8, CE12, and CE13 that are putatively involved in pectin degradation. The abundance of these CEs in Phytophthora may be due to a high frequency of multiple-copy genes, supporting by the phylogenetic distribution of CE13 genes, which showed five units of Phytophthora CE13 gene clusters each displaying a species tree like topology, but without any gene from Hyaloperonospora or Pythium species. Additionally, diverse proteins associated with products of CE13 genes were identified in Phytophthora strains. Our analyses provide a highly effective method for CE discovery, complementing current methods, and have the potential to advance our understanding of function and evolution of CEs.
