The quantum anomalous Hall(QAH) effect has attracted enormous attention since it can induce topologically protected conducting edge states in an intrinsic insulating material. For practical quantum applications, the main obstacle is the non-existent room temperature QAH systems, especially with both large topological band gap and robust ferromagnetic order. Here, according to first-principles calculations, we predict the realization of the room temperature QAH effect in a two-dimensional(2D) honeycomb lattice, RuCS_(3) with a non-zero Chern number of C = 1. Especially, the nontrivial topology band gap reaches up to 336 me V for RuCS_(3). Moreover, we find that RuCS_(3) has a large magnetic anisotropy energy(2.065 me V) and high Curie temperature(696 K). We further find that the non-trivial topological properties are robust against the biaxial strain. The robust topological and magnetic properties make RuCS_(3) have great applications in room temperature spintronics and nanoelectronics.

In this paper, we study the local bifurcation of critical periods near the nondegenerate center （the origin） of a class of li@nard equations with degree 2n, and prove that at most 2n - 2 critical periods （taken into account multiplicity） can be produced from a weak center of finite order. We also prove that it can have exactly 2n - 2 critical periods near the origin.

Background Postconditioning has been shown to reduce infarct size, ischemic/reperfusion injury and myocardial injury in patients with acute myocardial infarction （AMI） undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention （PCI）. This study tested the hypothesis that postconditioning attenuates the elevation of tumor necrosis factor-a （TNF-a） and improves heart function in patients with AMI after PCI. Methods A total of 75 patients were randomly assigned to 1 of 3 groups： the routine group （n=-26）, in which no intervention was given at the onset of reperfusion; and the Postcon-30s （n=25） or Postcon-60 s （n=24） groups, in which 3 cycles of 30- or 60-second balloon deflation and inflation were repetitively performed. TNF-a serum concentration was measured by EliSA. Global and regional left ventricular systolic function was determined by echocardiography at 1 year. Thirty-four normal controls （NC） were enrolled in the study. Results The TNF-a concentration in patients with AMI was significantly elevated at baseline compared to controls （P 〈0.01）. Concentration levels increased in the routine and Postcon-30s, but not in Postcon-60s group at 7 days （P 〈0.05）. As for linear associations among the three groups, left ventricular ejection fraction （LVEF） and wall motion score index （WMSI） were ranked as follows： Postcon-60s 〉Postcon-30s〉routine （P values all 〈0.05, 65% vs. 57% vs. 52% and 1.10 vs. 1.27 vs. 1.53） after 1 year. More importantly, there was a significant relevance between the soluble TNF-a serum concentration at 7 days and LVEF or WMSI after 1 year （Pvalues all 〈0.0001）. Conclusions Postconditioning, in particular Postcon-60s was associated with long-term cardioprotective effects for inhibition of the inflammatory response and reperfusion injury. The soluble TNF-a serum concentration provided powerful prognostic information of global and regional left ventricular systolic function in patients with AMI.

The advanced heat flux manipulating structures inspired by TO-based spatial mapping have aroused wide interests owing to huge potential in high-efficient thermal energy utilization.However,most researches are limited to the realization of single function in one specific structure and appropriate evaluation of the energy transfer process is relatively lacking.In this work,based on time-dependent two-dimensional heat conduction equation,a co-effect structure capable of accomplishing concentration and rotation functions simultaneously is established and validated by finite element simulations compared with the conventional single concentrator and singe rotator.In addition,from the perspective of thermodynamics,the transformed local entropy production rate and total entropy production are theoretically derived and applied to evaluate the quality of energy transfer processes.The proposed co-effect structure can help to explore other potential mass/flux manipulating devices and the evaluation method is valuable for the further manufacturing as well as optimization of these devices in engineering applications.

Background:Fever is the most common chief complaint of emergency patients.Early identification of patients at an increasing risk of death may avert adverse outcomes.The aim of this study was to establish an early prediction model of fatal adverse prognosis of fever patients by extracting key indicators using big data technology.Methods:A retrospective study of patients’data was conducted using the Emergency Rescue Database of Chinese People’s liberation Army General Hospital.Patients were divided into the fatal adverse prognosis group and the good prognosis group.The commonly used clinical indicators were compared.Recursive feature elimination method was used to determine the optimal number of the included variables.In the training model,logistic regression,random forest,adaboost,and bagging were selected.We also collected the emergency room data from December 2018 to December 2019 with the same inclusion and exclusion criterion.The performance of the model was evaluated by accuracy,F1-score,precision,sensitivity,and the areas under receiver operator characteristic curves(ROC-AUC).Results:The accuracy of logistic regression,decision tree,adaboost and bagging was 0.951,0.928,0.924,and 0.924,F1-scores were 0.938,0.933,0.930,and 0.930,the precision was 0.943,0.938,0.937,and 0.937,ROC-AUC were 0.808,0.738,0.736,and 0.885,respectively.ROC-AUC of ten-fold cross-validation in logistic and bagging models were 0.80 and 0.87,respectively.The top six coefficients and odds ratio(OR)values of the variables in the logistic regression were cardiac troponin T(CTnT)(coefficient=0.346,OR=1.413),temperature(T)(coefficient=0.235,OR=1.265),respiratory rate(RR)(coefficient=–0.206,OR=0.814),serum kalium(K)(coefficient=0.137,OR=1.146),pulse oxygen saturation(SPO2)(coefficient=–0.101,OR=0.904),and albumin(ALB)(coefficient=–0.043,OR=0.958).The weights of the top six variables in the bagging model were:CTnT,RR,lactate dehydrogenase,serum amylase,heart rate,and systolic blood pressure.Conclusions:The main clinical indicators of concern incl

Paeonia lactiflora root(baishao in Chinese) is a commonly used herb in traditional Chinese medicines(TCM). Two isomers, paeoniflorin(PF) and albiflorin(AF), are isolated from P. lactiflora. The present study aimed to investigate the protective effects of PF and AF on myelosuppression induced by chemotherapy in mice and to explore the underlying mechanisms. The mouse myelosuppression model was established by intraperitoneal(i.p.) injection of cyclophosphamide(CP, 200 mg×kg^(–1)). The blood cell counts were performed. The thymus index and spleen index were also determined and bone morrow histological examination was performed. The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in serum and colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF) in plasma were measured by Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assays(EliSA) and the serum levels of interleukin-3(IL-3), granulocyte-macrophagecolony- stimulatingfactor(GM-CSF), and interleukin-6(IL-6) were measured by radioimmunoassay(RIA). The levels of m RNA expression protein of IL-3, GM-CSF and G-CSF in spleen and bone marrow cells were determined respectively. PF and AF significantly increased the white blood cell(WBC) counts and reversed the atrophy of thymus. They also increased the serum levels of GM-CSF and IL-3 and the plasma level of G-CSF and reduced the level of TNF-α in serum.. PF enhanced the m RNA level of IL-3 and AF enhanced the m RNA levels of GM-CSF and G-CSF in the spleen. PF and AF both increased the protein levels of GM-CSF and G-CSF in bone marrow cells. In conclusion, our results demonstrated that PF and AF promoted the recovery of bone marrow hemopoietic function in the mouse myelosuppression model.

Objective： To investigate the neuro-protective effects of Acanthopanax senticosus Harms（EAS） on mesencephalic mitochondria and the mechanism of action, using a mouse model of Parkinson＇s disease（PD）. Methods： The chemical fingerprint analysis of the extract of Acanthopanax senticosus Harms（EAS） was performed using the ultra performance liquid chromatograph and time of flight mass spectrometry. Thirty mice were randomly divided into the control group, the MPTP model group, and the EAS treated group with MPTP（MPTP＋EAS group, 10 in each group）. The MPTP model group and the MPTP＋EAS group received MPTP-HCl（30 mg/kg i.p） once a day for 5 days. The control group received an equal volume of saline（20 m L/kg i.p） once a day for 5 days. Induced by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1, 2, 3, 6-tetrahydropyridine hydrochloride daily（MPTP-HCl, 30 mg/kg） for 5 days, the PD mice were treated with EAS at 45.5 mg/kg daily for 20 days. The behavioral testing of mice was carried out using the pole-climbing test. The integrity and functions of neurons were examined in mesencephalic mitochondria in a PD mouse model, including nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide dehydrogenase ubiquinone flavoprotein 2（NDUFV2）, mitochondrially encoded nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide dehydrogenase 1（MT-ND1）, succinate dehydrogenase complex subunit A（SDHA）, and succinate dehydrogenase cytochrome b560 subunit（SDHC）. Results： After treatment with EAS, the behavioral changes induced by MPTP were attenuated significantly（P〈0.05）. EAS protected the mesencephalic mitochondria from swelling and attenuated the decreases in their membrane potential（both P〈0.05）, which was supported by an ultra-structural level analysis. The changes in reactive oxygen species（ROS）, malonic dialdehyde（MDA）, oxidative phosphorylation（OXPHOS） system 4 subunits levels and PD-related proteins expressions（parkin, Pink1, DJ-1, α-synuclein, and Lrrk2） reverted to near normal levels（all P〈0.05）, based on the results of immune-histological and Western blotting observations. This study was conducted to determine the effect of different forms of yeasts Saccharomyces cerevisiae supplementation on serum antioxidant capacity, mucosal secretory immunoglobulin A（s Ig A） secretions and gut microbial populations in weaned piglets. A total of 96 piglets weaned at 14 d of age were randomly allotted to 4 dietary treatments：（1） basal diet without yeast（Control）;（2） basal diet supplemented with 3.00 g kg–1 live yeast（LY）;（3） basal diet supplemented with 2.66 g kg–1 heat-killed whole yeast（HKY）; and（4） basal diet supplemented with 3.00 g kg–1 superfine yeast powders（SFY）. Each treatment had 4 replicates（pens）, with 6 piglets per replicate. The experiment lasted for 3 wk. At d 7 and 21 of the experiment, the samples of serum, mucosa and mesenteric lymph node（MLN） from jejunum, and digesta from the ileum and cecum were collected for determinations. Compared with the Control, dietary SFY supplementation increased serum superoxide dismutase（SOD） activity and lysozyme levels at d 7, and jejunum mucosal s Ig A secretions at d 21 of the experiment（P〈0.05）. Dietary LY supplementation increased serum SOD activity and jejunum mucosal s Ig A secretions, but decreased serum malondialdehyde（MDA） concentration at d 7 and 21（P〈0.05）. Piglets fed diets supplemented with LY and SFY had lower p H values and decreased numbers of Escherichia coli in the ileum and cecum contents at d 21 compared with the Control（P〈0.05）. Moreover, the ratio of Lactobacilli to E. coli in the ileum and cecum contents was increased by dietary LY and SFY supplementations（P〈0.05）. Collectively, different forms of yeasts, especially LY and SFY, may modulate body antioxidant capacity and enhance the intestinal immunity by regulation of secretions of mucosal s Ig A and reduction of pathogenic bacteria colonization, thus improving intestinal health of weaned piglets.

To accelerate the breeding process of cultivated Ophiocordyceps sinensis and increase its yield,it is important to identify molecular fingerprint of dominant O.sinensis.In the present study,we collected 3 batches of industrially cultivated O.sinensis product with higher yield than the others and compared their internal transcribed spacer(ITS)sequences with the wild and the reported.The ITS sequence was obtained by bidirectional sequencing and analyzed with molecular systematics as a DNA barcode for rapid and accurate identification of wild and cultivated O.sinensis collected.The ITS sequences of O.sinensis with detailed collection loci on NCBI were downloaded to construct a phylogenetic tree together with the sequences obtained from the present study by using neighbor-joining method based on their evolution relationship.The information on collection loci was analyzed with ArcGIS 10.2 to demonstrate the geographic distribution of these samples and thus to determine the origin of the dominant samples.The results showed that all wild and cultivated samples were identified as O.sinensis and all sequences were divided into seven phylogenetic groups in the tree.Those groups were precisely distributed on the map and the process of their system evolution was clearly presented.The three cultivated samples were clustered into two dominant groups,showing the correlation between the industrially cultivated samples and the dominant wild samples,which can provide references for its optimized breeding in the future.

The vision of the Semantic Web is to build a 'Web of data' that enables machines to understand the semantics of information on the Web.The linked Open Data(LOD) project encourages people and organizations to publish various open data sets as Resource Description Framework(RDF) on the Web,which promotes the development of the Semantic Web.Among various LOD datasets,DBpedia has proved a successful structured knowledge base,and has become the central interlinking-hub of the Web of data in English.However,in the Chinese language,there is little linked data published and linked to DBpedia.This hinders the structured knowledge sharing of both Chinese and cross-lingual resources.This paper deals with an approach for building a large-scale Chinese structured knowledge base from Chinese wiki resources,including Hudong and Baidu Baike.The proposed approach first builds an ontology based on the wiki category system and infoboxes,and then extracts instances from wiki articles.Using Hudong as our source,our approach builds an ontology containing 19 542 concepts and 2381 properties.802 593 instances are extracted and described using the concepts and properties in the extracted ontology and 62 679 of them are linked to equivalent instances in DBpedia.As from Baidu Baike,our approach builds an ontology containing 299 concepts,37 object properties,and 5590 data type properties.1 319 703 instances are extracted from Baidu Baike,and 84 343 of them are linked to instances in DBpedia.We provide RDF dumps and SPARQL endpoint to access the established Chinese knowledge bases.The knowledge bases built using our approach can be used not only in Chinese linked data building,but also in many useful applications of large-scale knowledge bases,such as question-answering and semantic search.
