This study introduces an innovative dual-tunable absorption film with the capability to switch between ultra-wideband and narrowband *** manipulating the temperature,the film can achieve multi-band absorption within the 30-45 THz range or ultra-wideband absorption spanning 30-130 THz,with an absorption rate exceeding ***,the structural parameters of the absorption film are optimized using the particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm to ensure the optimal absorption *** absorption response of the film is primarily attributed to the coupling of guided-mode resonance and local surface plasmon resonance *** film's symmetric structure enables polarization incoherence and allows for tuning through various means such as doping/voltage,temperature and structural *** the case of a multi-band absorption response,the film exhibits good sensitivity to refractive index changes in multiple absorption ***,the absorption spectrum of the film remains effective even at large incidence angles,making it highly promising for applications in fields such as biosensing and infrared stealth.

Preliminary analysis of the hanging wall effect and velocity pulse of the 5.12.Wenchuan earthquake

A preliminary study of the PGA attenuation, hanging wall effect and velocity pulse characteristics from the 2.08 Wenchuan earthquake ofMS -8.0 is described in this paper. The study was carried out through analyses in the time and frequency domains of main earthquake records. In the PGA attenuation study, records from 316 stations less than 1000 km from the surface rupture of the fault were used as a database and attenuation relationships were developed and compared with some existing relationships that are widely used in china's Mainland, Chinese Taiwan and the US. At the same time, records from 2. stations less than 100 km from the fault were used to study the hanging wall effect and velocity pulse characteristics of this earthquake based on the distribution of PGA, PGV, spectral acceleration, and the velocity pulse peak, and the results are compared with the 1999 Chi-Chi earthquake. In addition, the large PGAs of the UD components observed in this event are also discussed in this paper. From the results of the preliminary study, some conclusions are developed and suggestions for further research are proposed.

Identification of Hercynian shoshonitic intrusive rocks in central Hainan Island and its geotectonic implications

An identification has been made of some shoshonitic intrusive rocks in central Hainan Island recently. These rocks are K-rich (K2.=2.9%―5.1%, K2./Na2.=0.95―2.12., distinctly enriched in liLE and LREE, strongly depleted in Nb, Ta, and moder- ately depleted in Sr and Ti, with (87Sr/86Sr)i = 0.70859―0.7142. and ε Nd(t) = (?2.77―?7.49). They were derived from an EMⅡ-type mantle source. The enrichment process is related to metasomatism of depleted mantle caused by a great amount of fluid-melt released from oceanic crust and terri- genous sediments at great depth (eclogite facies) during the subduction of the South china plate under the Indo{2.-South china Sea plate in the Carbon- iferous–Early Permian. A SHRIMP U-Pb zircon dating yields a crystallization age of 2.2.7 Ma for the sho- shonitic intrusions, which is coeval with the strongly peraluminous granites found in central Hainan Island. These two kinds of rocks generally possess syn-intrusion ductile deformation structures. Thus they are considered to have been generated during the early stage (syn-thrust phase) of a post-collisional event. The primary magma of shoshonitic rocks was produced at a depth > 80 km by decompression- dehydration melting of previously enriched litho- spheric mantle wedge, phlogopite-bearing garnet peridotite, which was in turn caused by the break-off of a descendent slab and upwelling of a hot as- thenosphere. The rising of melts was accompaniedby crustal contamination and crystallization fractiona- tion (AFC). Combining with other related data, it is proposed that the southwards subduction and amal- gamation of the South china plate with the Indo- china-South china Sea plate took place at ca. 2.7- 2.8 Ma, which was a part of the convergence proc- ess of the Pangea supercontinent. The suture zone was probably located along the line of Song Ma-Beibu Gulf-north margin of the Yunkai Moun- tains-Wuyi Mountains.

Experimental investigation and numerical simulation on the effect of fissure water pressure in vertical sliding surface

This paper studies the effect of fissure water pressure in different fractures on the critical angle of landslide by laboratory investigation and numerical simulation in order to understand the mechanisms of fissure water pressure on landslide stability. Laboratory observations show that the effect of fissure water pressure on the critical angle of landslide is little when the distance between water-holding fracture and slope toe is three times greater than the depth of fissure water. These experimental results are also simulated by a three-dimensional face-to-face contact discrete element method. This method has included the fissure water pressure and can accurately calculate the critical angle of jointed slope when fissure water pressure in vertical sliding surface exists. Numerical results are in good agreement with experimental observations. It is revealed that the location of water-holding structural surface is important to landslide stability. The ratio of the distance between water-holding fissure and slope toe to the depth of fissure water is a key parameter to justify the effect of fissure water pressure on the critical angle of landslide.

A suspended sediment satellite sensing algorithm based on gradient transiting from water-leaving to satellite-detected reflectance spectrum

In order to remove the fluctuating atmospheric effects from the Case 2.water, an algorithm for retrieval of suspended sediment concentration from NOAA weather satellite imagery was developed under a new approach. This model is based on the linear response from water-leaving to satellite-detected reflectance spectra, simply reflected by the gradient for correlation curve between reflectance of the advanced very high resolution radiometer (AVHRR) channels 1 (R1, 580-680 nm) and 2.(R2. 72.-1 100 nm). Proportional factor for this gradient transiting, mathematically represented as (td2.td1) (toz2.toz1), depends on a ratio of atmospheric transmittance for such two channels, including ozone and diffuse transmittance. As a simple but efficient algorithm of gradient, the algorithm of αR1-R2.is selected to retrieve gradient a and then sea surface suspendend sediment concentration.

Response of flood discharging capacity to the deterioration of the lower Yellow River

Based on the clarifications of the deterioration characteristics of the lower Yellow River (LYR), the influence of river deterioration on flood discharging capacity is studied through theoretical derivation and analysis of field data. This study indicates that response of flood discharging capacity to river deterioration is nonlinear. Sediment depositions in the main channel cause the reductions of dominant discharge and thus the increase of initial flood stage. Reductions in the channel width result in the increases of the rising rate of flood stage and the decrease of flood discharging capacity.

Dynamic recrystallization mechanism, texture evolution development and mechanical characteristics of a Mg–8.7Gd–4.18Y–0.42.r magnesium alloy by ECAP

Equal channel angle pressing is recognized for its ability to refine alloy grains and alter grain orientation, thereby achieve better mechanical performance of the magnesium alloy. This study investigates the microstructures,dynamic recrystallization mechanism, texture development, and mechanical performance of GW94K(Mg–8.7Gd–4.18Y–0.42.r wt. %) Mg alloy following ECAP-4 passes at 400°C and 3 mm/min. Results show that when high-temperature deformation is undertaken, twin formation is suppressed while dislocation slip is facilitated, increasing dislocation density during deformation. Following ECAP deformation, the sample displayed higher fracture elongation, TYS, and UTS than the as-solutioned GW94K alloy. In particular, the GW94K alloy performed well mechanically after ECAP-4 passes, with an ultimate TYS of 2.1 MPa, an UTS of 2.0 MPa, and an elongation of 14.8 %. DDRX and shear bands induce CDRX, both of which are important in plastic deformation. as well as in modifying microstructure and grain orientation during ECAP deformation.

Guidance strategy of motion camouflage for spacecraft pursuit-evasion game

This work is inspired by a stealth pursuit behavior called motion camouflage whereby a pursuer approaches an evader while the pursuer camouflages itself against a predetermined *** formulate the spacecraft pursuit-evasion problem as a stealth pursuit strategy of motion camouflage,in which the pursuer tries to minimize a motion camouflage index defined in this *** Euler-Hill reference frame whose origin is set on the circular reference orbit is used to describe the *** on the rule of motion camouflage,a guidance strategy in open-loop form to achieve motion camouflage index is derived in which the pursuer lies on the camouflage constraint line connecting the central spacecraft and *** order to dispose of the dependence on the evader acceleration in the open-loop guidance strategy,we further consider the motion camouflage pursuit problem within an infinite-horizon nonlinear quadratic differential *** saddle point solution to the game is derived by using the state-dependent Riccati equation method,and the resulting closed-loop guidance strategy is effective in achieving motion *** are performed to demonstrate the capabilities of the proposed guidance strategies for the pursuit–evasion game scenario.

The geomorphological features and continuity of the Kyushu-Palau Ridge (KPR)

The Philippine Basin,surrounded by a series of oceanic trenches,is an independent deep ocean basin in the West Pacific *** middle part is divided into three marginal sea sub-basins by the Kyushu-Palau and West Mariana Ridges,namely,the West Philippine Basin,the Shikoku and Parece Vela Basins and the Mariana *** paper,through the analysis of the geomorphologic features and gravity and magnetic characteristics of the basin and identification of striped magnetic anomalies,suggests that the entire Philippine Basin developed magnetic lineation of oceanic nature,and therefore,the entire basin is of the nature of oceanic *** basin has developed a series of special geomorphic units with different *** KPR runs through the entire Philippine *** the view of geomorphologic features,the KPR is a discontinuous seamount chain （chain-shaped seamounts） and subduction beneath the Japanese Island arc at the Nankai Trough which is the natural boundary between the basin and the Japanese Island *** the positions of 2. N,2. N,2. N and 18 N,obvious discontinuity is shown,which belongs to natural topographic ***,the KPR is topographically discontinuous.
