In this work,a very simple dual-readout lateral flow test strip(LFTS)platform was developed for sensitive detection of alkaline phosphatase(ALP)based on a portable *** this assay,quantum dots(QDs)conjugated with bovine serum albumin(QDs-BSA)were chosen as fluorescence signal *** the absence of ALP,MnO_(2)nanosheets aggregate on the test line and exhibit an obvious brown color,which can be observed by naked eyes to realize semi-qualitative ***,fluorescence intensity of QDs-BSA can also be effectively quenched by MnO_(2)nanosheets due to inner-filter ***,in the presence of ALP,ALP can catalyze the hydrolysis of ascorbic acid 2-phosphate(AAP)to generate L-ascorbic acid(AA),which can reduce MnO_(2)into Mn^(2+),accompanying with the obvious fluorescence recovery of the *** simply monitoring the change of colorimetric and fluorescent signal on the test line,trace amount of ALP can be quantitatively *** the optimal conditions,measurable evaluation of ALP was reached in a linear range from 1 U/L to 20 U/L with a detection limit of 0.7 U/L based on fluorescence ***,this colorimetric/fluorescent dual-readout assay was successfully applied to monitor ALP in human serum samples,showing its great potential as a point of care biosensor for clinical diagnosis.

Spatiotemporal variations of ozone(O_(3))taken from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service(CAMS)and the second Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications(MERRA-2)were intercompared and evaluated with ground and ozone-sonde observations over China in 2018 and *** of the surface ozone from CAMS and MERRA-2 reanalysis showed significant negative bias(CAMS minus MERRA-2,same below)at Tibetan Plateau of up to 80μg/m^(3),and the average R^(2)was about 0.6 across *** with the ground observations from China National Environmental Monitoring Center(CNEMC),we found that CAMS and MERRA-2 reanalysis were capable of capturing the key patterns of monthly and diurnal variations of surface ozone over China except for the western region,and MERRA-2 overestimated the observations compared to ***,the CAMS profiles overestimated the ozone-sonde from the World Ozone and Ultraviolet Radiation Data Center(WOUDC)above 200 h Pa with the magnitude reaching up to 150μg/m3,while little bias was found between the reanalysis and observations below 200 h *** drawn from the vertical distribution between CAMS and MERRA-2 reanalysis showed that the negative bias appeared throughout the troposphere over China,while the positive bias emerged in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere(UTLS)with high order of magnitude exceeding 100μg/m^(3),indicating large uncertainties at higher *** summary,we concluded that CAMS reanalysis showed better agreement with the observations in contrast to MERRA-2,and the large discrepancy especially at higher altitudes between these two reanalysis datasets could not be ignored.

Normal （n）-alkanes and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons （PAHs） in PM2.5 were collected from Beijing in 2006 and analyzed using a thermal desorption-GC/MS technique. Annual average concentrations of n-alkanes and PAHs were 282 ±96 and 125 ± 150ng/m^3, respectively： both were highest in winter and lowest in summer. C19-C25 compounds dominated the n-alkanes while benzo[b]fluoranthene, benzo[e]pyrene, and phenanthrene were the most abundant PAHs. The n-alkanes exhibited moderate correlations with organic carbon （OC） and elemental carbon （EC） throughout the year, but the relation- ships between the PAHs, OC and EC differed between the heating and non-heating seasons. The health risks associated with PAHs in winter were more than 40 times those in spring and summer even though the PM2.5 loadings were comparable. Carbon preference index values （〈1.5） indicated that the n-alkanes were mostly from fossil fuel combustion. The ratios of indeno[123-cd]pyrene to benzo[ghi]pyrelene in summer and spring were 0.58 ± 0.12 and 0.63 ± 0.09, respectively, suggesting that the PAHs mainly originated from motor vehicles, but higher ratios in winter reflected an increased infuence from coal, which is extensively burned for domestic heating. A comprehensive comparison showed that PAH pollution in Beijing has decreased in the past 10 years.

An environmentally friendly and resource-conserving route to the clean production of electrolytic manganese was developed,in which the electrolytic manganese residue(EMR)was initially calcined for cement buffering;then the generated SO2-containing flue gas was managed using manganese oxide ore and anolyte(MOOA)desulfurization;at last,the desulfurized slurry was introduced to the electrolytic manganese production(EMP).Results showed that 4.0 wt%coke addition reduced the sulfur of calcined EMR to 0.9%,thereby satisfying the cement-buffer ***-scale desulfurization showed that about 7.5 vol%of high SO2 containing flue gas can be cleaned to less than 0.1 vol%through a five-stage countercurrent MOOA *** desulfurized slurry had 42.44 g·L-Mn2+and 1.92 g·L-1 S2 O62-,which was suitable for electrowinning after purification,and the purity of manganese product was 99.93%,satisfy the National Standard of China YB/*** new integrated technology fulfilled 99.7%of sulfur reutilization from the EMR and 94.1%was effectively used to the *** MOOA desulfurization linked the EMP a closed cycle without any pollutant discharge,which promoted the cleaner production of EMP industry.

A New Species of Cathayornis from the Lower Cretaceous of Inner Mongolia,China and Its Stratigraphic Significance

An incomplete postcranial avian skeleton is described from the Lower Cretaceous Jingchuan Formation of Otog Banner of western Inner Mongolia and referred to a new species of Cathayornis, C. chabuensis sp. nov. This is the first report of a Cathayornis from outside liaoning Province. The new discovery indicates that Cathayornis coexisted with Otogornis genghisi, and a more detailed comparison between these two enantiornithine genera shows that Otogornis represents a more primitive genus than Cathayornis. Our analyses further indicate that Cathayornis is an arboreal bird. The discovery of a Cathayornis from this region also confirms that the avian fossil-bearing Jingchuan Formation is comparable to the Jiufotang Formation of the upper Jehol Group in western liaoning, and should be referred to the middle-late Early Cretaceous.

In February 2014, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) area experienced a weeklong episode of heavy haze pollution. Cities such as Beijing(BJ) and Shijiazhuang(SJZ) issued heavy pollution alerts for the first time and took emergency control measures. This study employed the Nested Air Quality Prediction Modeling System(NAQPMS) to simulate and analyze the three-dimensional structure of the source contributions of PM2.5 in the BTH area during this pollution episode and quantitatively assessed the effects of the emergency control measures. The results showed that during the polluted period(February 19–26), surface PM2.5 mainly originated from local sources(48%–72%). In the entire BTH area, southern Hebei(SHB) represented the largest internal contribution(33%), while the main external contributions came from Shandong(SD)(10%) and Henan(HN)(4%). Vertically, the local contribution was constrained below the near-ground layer, and rapidly decreased with altitude. The regional transport path from SHB and Shanxi(SX) to BJ appeared at 0.5–1.5 and 1.5–2.5 km, with contributions of 32%–42% and 13%–27%, respectively. The non-local source regions for the BTH area were SD below 1 km and mainly SX and HN above 1 km. Compared to the non-polluted period(February 27–28), the contribution from regional transport increased during the polluted period, indicating the key role of regional transport in the pollution formation. The emergency control measures had a relatively large effect on NOx and SO2 concentrations, but a limited effect on PM2.5. The stronger regional transport during the polluted period may have weakened the effects of the local emergency control measures. These results indicated that a coordinated emission control should be implemented not only over the BTH area but also over its surrounding provinces(e.g. SD, HN).

Extraction and identification of the chyme proteins in the digestive tract of growing pigs

This study aimed to explore the rule of degradation of dietary proteins by identifying chyme proteins in different segments of the digestive tract of growing pigs, using proteomics techniques. Six growing pigs were fed a corn-soybean meal-based diet for 7 days. The feedstuff and chyme proteins were separately extracted and separated with SDS-PAGE. 2 D LCMS/MS combined with protein database searching identified 1,513 proteins in different segments of the gastrointestinal tract, the number of identified exogenous proteins gradually decline from the stomach to colon, with large amounts in the duodenum to the large *** corn proteins than soybean proteins were identified both in the feedstuff and chyme, and these were significantly decreased after digestion in the stomach. More membrane proteins than non-membrane proteins were identified in whole digestive *** results regarding the profiles of chyme proteins in different segments of the gastrointestinal tract would provide useful information for optimizing feed formula in pigs.

An Important Ornithischian Tracksite in the Early Jurassic of the Shenmu Region,Shaanxi,China

A large track site with multiple, well-preserved trackways of an Early Jurassic quadrupedal ornithischian dinosaur is the first report of Moyenisauripus-like trackways from Asia, herein named Shenmuichnus youngteilhardorum. The tracks occur in a clastic fluvial sequence in the Fuxian Formation in Shenmu County, Shaanxi Province, which is in the same general region as the discovery site of Sinoichnites, the first dinosaur track reported from China. Based on size and morphology, it is likely that Sinoichnites, which is now lost, also represents an ornithischian. The Shenmuichnus youngteilhardorum trackways show two modes of preservation： the first representing deeper tracks, with sediment rims, results in Deltapodus-like tracks, with indistinct pes digit traces and sub-circular manus traces, the second produces Moyenosauripus-like tracks, with clear tridactyl and pentadactyl digit traces in the pes and manus respectively. Thus the Shenmu trackways play a key role in resolving globally significant ichnotaxonomic problems surrounding the nomenclature of Sinoichnites, Moyenosauripus, Deltapodus and other named （Ravatichnus） and unnamed trackways from Asia, Africa and Europe. In addition they shed important light on the paleogeographical and paleoecological distribution of quadrupedal ornithischians in the Early Mesozoic. The track site has been the focus of a major excavation to transfer the trackways from their original remote location to the new Shenmu Museum, in Shenmu City. Other tracksites in the area which reveal Anomoepus, Grallator and the Deltapodus morphotype, together with Shenmuichnus and plant fossil evidence, suggest an Early Jurassic age for the tracksite.

Structural insights into the catalytic mechanism of aldehyde-deformylating oxygenases

The fatty alk（a/e）ne biosynthesis pathway found in cyanobacteria gained tremendous attention in recent years as a promising alternative approach for biofuel production. Cyanobacterial aldehyde-deformylating oxygenase （cADO）, which catalyzes the conversion of Cn fatty aldehyde to its corresponding Cn-1 alk（ale）ne, is a key enzyme in that pathway. Due to its low activity, alk（a/e）ne production by cADO is an inefficient process. Previous biochemical and structural investi. gations of cADO have provided some information on its catalytic reaction. However, the details of its cata- lytic processes remain unclear. Here we report five crystal structures of cADO from the Synechococcus elongates strain PCC7942 in both its iron-free and iron-bound forms, representing different states during its catalytic process. Structural comparisons and functional enzyme assays indicate that Giu144, one of the iron-coordinating residues, plays a vital role in the catalytic reaction of cADO. Moreover, the helix where Glu144 resides exhibits two distinct conformations that correlates with the different binding states of the di-iron center in cADO structures. Therefore, our results provide a structural explanation for the highly labile feature of cADO di-iron center, which we pro- posed to be related to its low enzymatic activity. On the basis of our structural and biochemical data, a possible catalytic process of cADO was proposed, which could aid the design of cADO with improved activity.
