Rotary ultrasonic drilling(RUD)has become an effective approach for machining advanced composites which are widely using in the field of *** cutting kinematics and the corresponding material removal mechanisms are distinct in different drilling areas during ***,these fundamentals have not been fully considered in the existing *** this research,two distinct forms of interaction induced by ultrasonic vibration were considered as impact-separation and vibratory lapping between the abrasives and *** the conditions to guarantee the effectiveness of these interactions were obtained to eliminate diminishing effects of ultrasonic *** on indentation fracture theory,the penetration depth of abrasives and the axial drilling force model was derived for *** verification tests of C/SiC composites resulted in a prediction error within 15%.Due to the minimal volume of material removed during each vibration cycle,the drilling force was more stable in vibration assisted *** specific drilling energy of RUD was firstly calculated based on the measured drilling *** was found the drilling parameters should be matched with vibration frequency and amplitude to make better usage of the advantages of ultrasonic vibration,which is critical in the vibration assisted processing of advanced materials.

Mechanical stimulation technology is critical in agricultural crop production because it is constantly regarded as a developing green technology to regulate plants to meet people's need for green and healthy agricultural products. Various environmental mechanical stimulation impacts seed germination, seedling growth, flowering date, fruit quantity, and fruit quality throughout the life cycle of a horticultural plant. This study first outlines the basic characteristics of six types of common mechanical stimulation in nature:precipitation, wind, gravity,touch, sound, and vibration. The effects of various mechanical stimulation types on the seed, seedling, flowering, and fruit of horticultural plants throughout their whole life cycle are then presented, as reviewed in the recent 100 years of existing literature. Finally, potential future study directions are discussed. The main challenge in mechanical stimulation technology is to uncover its potential capabilities for regulating and controlling plant development and fruit quality in green agriculture instead of agricultural chemicals.

Nociceptive behavioural assessments in mouse models of temporomandibular joint disorders

Orofacial pain or tenderness is a primary symptom associated with temporomandibular joint(TMJ)disorders(TMDs).To understand the pathological mechanisms underlying TMDs,several mouse models have been developed,including mechanical stimulus-induced TMD and genetic mouse ***,a lack of feasible approaches for assessing TMD-related nociceptive behaviours in the orofacial region of mice has hindered the in-depth study of TMD-associated *** study aimed to explore modifications of three existing methods to analyse nociceptive behaviours using two TMD mouse models:(1)mechanical allodynia was tested using von Frey filaments in the mouse TMJ region by placing mice in specially designed chambers;(2)bite force was measured using the Economical Load and Force(ELF)system;and(3)spontaneous feeding behaviour tests,including eating duration and frequency,were analysed using the Laboratory Animal Behaviour Observation Registration and Analysis System(LABORAS).We successfully assessed changes in nociceptive behaviours in two TMD mouse models,a unilateral anterior crossbite(UAC)-induced TMD mouse model and aβ-catenin conditional activation mouse *** found that the UAC model andβ-catenin conditional activation mouse model were significantly associated with signs of increased mechanical allodynia,lower bite force,and decreased spontaneous feeding behaviour,indicating manifestations of *** behavioural changes were consistent with the cartilage degradation phenotype observed in these mouse *** studies have shown reliable methods to analyse nociceptive behaviours in mice and may indicate that these methods are valid to assess signs of TMD in mice.

Climate change has significantly affected hydrological processes and increased the frequency and severity of water shortage,droughts and floods in northeast China.A study has been conducted to quantify the influence of climate change on the hydrologic process in the Tao’er River Basin(TRB),one of the most prominent regions in northeast China for water *** Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)model was calibrated and validated with observed land use and hydro-climatic data and then employed for runoff simulations at upper,middle and lower reaches of the river basin for different climate change *** results showed that a gradual increase in temperature and decrease in annual precipitation in the basin was projected for the period 2020-2050 for both representative concentration pathways(RCP)4.5 and 8.5 *** climate changes would cause a decrease in annual average runoff at basin outlet by 12 and 23 million m^(3) for RCP4.5 and 8.5,*** future runoff in the upstream and midstream of the basin during 2020-2050 would be-10.8% and-12.1% lower than the observed runoff compared to the base period for RCP4.5,while those would be-5.3% and-10.7%lower for *** future runoff will decrease at three hydrology stations for the assumed future climate *** results can help us understand the future temperature and precipitation trends and the hydrological cycle process under different climate change scenarios,and provide the basis for the rational allocation and management of water resources under the influence of future climate change in the TRB.

AIM:To explore the photopic pupil size behavior in myopic children undergoing overnight orthokeratology(ortho-k)over 1-year period and its effects on the axial ***:A total of 202 Chinese myopic children were enrolled in this prospective clinical *** subjects in ortho-k group and eighty-eight subjects in spectacle group completed the 1-year *** length(AL)was measured before enrollment and every 6mo after the start of *** photopic pupil diameter(PPD)was determined using the Pentacam AXL and measured in an examination room with lighting of 300-310 *** multiple linear regression analysis was used to identify variables contribution to axial ***:Compared with spectacle group,the average 1-year axial elongation was significantly slower in the ortho-k group(0.25±0.27 vs 0.44±0.23 mm,P0.05,Bonferroni correction).The 4.81 mm PPD may be a possible cutoff point in the ortho-k *** with PPD below or equal to 4.81 mm tended to have smaller axial elongation compared to subjects with PPD above 4.81 mm after 1-year period(t=-3.09,P=0.003).In ortho-k group,univariate analyses indicated that those with older age,greater degree of myopia,longer AL,smaller baseline PPD(PPDbaseline)experienced a smaller change in *** multivariate analyses,older age,greater AL and smaller PPDbaseline were associated with smaller increases in *** spectacle group,PPD tended to be stable(P>0.05,Bonferroni correction)and did not affect axial ***:PPDs experience significantly decreases at 1-month and 3-month ortho-k *** with smaller PPD tend to experience slower axial elongation and may benefit more from ortho-k.

Actinide-containing cluster compounds are highly important in radio-and nuclear *** three decades ago,little attention had been paid to these heavy-element clusters because of difficulties in their syntheses and characterization as well as handling of these radioactive and chemotoxic *** this overview article we have selectively summarized the recent progresses in experimental and theoretical studies on actinide clusters,including actinide(An=Th,Pa,U,Np and Pu)oxide clusters as well as uranyl(UO22+)peroxide clusters and so *** shows that An(Ⅳ)(An=Th,U,Np and Pu)is able to form highly symmetric AnⅣ6O8 core clusters and further merge into larger clusters up to An38O56 clusters(An=U,Np and Pu)with the same ***,An with higher oxidation states such as U(Ⅵ)in uranyl is capable to form fullerene-like peroxide cage clusters of U20,U60 with the same topology as C20 and *** quantum chemistry investigations on the geometric structures,electronic structures and chemical bonding patterns have also been briefly summarized herein to provide an understanding on the structural chemistry of these peculiar *** advances in electronic structure studies of actinide clusters help to develop robust theoretical and computational techniques for the future development of actinide cluster *** experimental and computational studies of actinide clusters are needed and helpful to accelerate the development of radio-and nuclear chemistry.

Oil cleaning agents generated from nuclear power plants(NPPs)are radioactive organic liquid *** date,because there are no satisfactory industrial treatment measures,these wastes can only be stored for a long *** this work,the optimization for the supercritical water oxidation(SCWO)of the spent organic solvent was *** main process parameters of DURSET(oil cleaning agent)SCWO,such as temperature,reaction time,and excess oxygen coefficient,were optimized using response surface methodology,and a quadratic polynomial model was *** determination coefficient(R^(2))of the model is 0.9812,indicating that the model is *** optimized process conditions were at 515 C,66 s,and an excess oxygen coefficient of 211%.Under these conditions,the chemical oxygen demand removal of organic matter could reach 99.5%.The temperature was found to be the main factor affecting the SCWO *** and benzene-based compounds may be the main intermediates in DURSET *** work provides basic data for the industrialization of the degradation of spent organic solvents from NPP using SCWO technology.
