Recently, network function virtualization(NFV) was proposed as a paradigm shift in the telec.m.unication industry. Both industry and academia have drawn significant attention in mobile network *** decouples the software implementation of network functions from the underlying hardware, leading to considerable reductions in operating expenses(OPEX) and capital expenses(cAPEX), and facilitating the network deployment. However, as an emerging technology, NFV brings both challenges and opportunities in developing new architectures, applying and deployment. In this paper, we first survey the related work of NFV, and then propose promising research directions in this area.

With the large scale adoption of Internet of Things(IoT)applications in people’s lives and industrial manufacturing processes,IoT security has bec.m. an important problem *** security significantly relies on the security of the underlying hardware chip,which often contains critical information,such as encryption *** understand existing IoT chip security,this study analyzes the security of an IoT security chip that has obtained an Arm Platform Security Architecture(PSA)Level 2 *** analysis shows that the chip leaks part of the encryption key and presents a considerable security ***,we use c.m.odity equipment to collect electromagnetic traces of the *** a statistical T-test,we find that the target chip has physical leakage during the AES encryption *** further use correlation analysis to locate the detailed encryption interval in the collected electromagnetic trace for the Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)encryption *** the basis of the intermediate value correlation analysis,we recover half of the 16-byte AES encryption *** repeat the process for three different tests;in all the tests,we obtain the same result,and we recover around 8 bytes of the 16-byte AES encryption ***,experimental results indicate that despite the Arm PSA Level 2 certification,the target security chip still suffers from physical *** layer application developers should impose strong security mechanisms in addition to those of the chip itself to ensure IoT application security.

This study investigated the impact of important environmental variables （i.e., wind speed, solar radiation and cloud cover） on urban heating. meteorological parameters for fifteen years （from 1990 to 2005）, collected at a well developed and densely populated c.m.ercial area （Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong）, were analyzed in details. Urban heat island intensity （UHII）, a well known indicator of urban heating, has been determined as the spatially averaged air-temperature difference between Tsim Sha Tsui and Ta Kwu Ling （a thinly populated rural area with lush vegetation）. Results showed that the UHII and cloud cover have increased by around 9.3% and 4%, respectively, whereas the wind speed and solar radiation have decreased by around 24% and 8.5%, respectively. The month of Dec.m.er experienced the highest UHII （10.2℃） but the lowest wind speed （2.6 m/sec） and cloud cover （3.8 oktas）. conversely, the month of April observed the highest increases in the UHII （over 100%） and the highest decreases in wind speed （over 40 %） over fifteen years. Notably, the increases in the UHII and reductions in the wind speed were the highest during the night-time and early morning. conversely, the intensity of solar radiation reduced while the intensity of urban cool island （UcII） increased during solar noon-time. Results demonstrated strong negative correlation between the UHII and wind speed （coefficient of determination, R^2 = 0.8） but no negative correlation between UcII and solar radiation attenuation. A possible negative correlation between UHII and cloud cover was investigated but could not be substantiated.

In recent years,the Internet of Things(IoT)has gradually developed applications such as collecting sensory data and building intelligent services,which has led to an explosion in mobile data ***,with the rapid development of artificial intelligence,semantic c.m.unication has attracted great attention as a new c.m.unication ***,for IoT devices,however,processing image information efficiently in real time is an essential task for the rapid transmission of semantic *** the increase of model parameters in deep learning methods,the model inference time in sensor devices continues to *** contrast,the Pulse coupled Neural Network(PcNN)has fewer parameters,making it more suitable for processing real-time scene tasks such as image segmentation,which lays the foundation for real-time,effective,and accurate image ***,the parameters of PcNN are determined by trial and error,which limits its *** overc.m. this limitation,an Improved Pulse coupled Neural Networks(IPcNN)model is proposed in this *** IPcNN constructs the connection between the static properties of the input image and the dynamic properties of the neurons,and all its parameters are set adaptively,which avoids the inconvenience of manual setting in traditional methods and improves the adaptability of parameters to different types of *** segmentation results demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed self-adaptive parameter setting method of IPcNN on the gray images and natural images from the matlab and Berkeley Segmentation *** IPcNN method achieves a better segmentation result without training,providing a new solution for the real-time transmission of image semantic information.
