RepColor: deep coloring algorithm combining semantic categories

Image coloring is an inherently uncertain and multimodal problem. By inputting a grayscale image into a coloring network， visually plausible colored photos can be generated. Conventional methods primarily rely on semantic information for image colorization. Although effective in coloring images with clear semantic information， these methods still suffer from color contamination and semantic confusion. This is largely due to the limited capacity of convolutional neural networks to effectively learn deep semantic information inherent in *** this paper， we propose a network structure that addresses these limitations by leveraging multi-level semantic information classification and fusion. Additionally， we introduce a global semantic fusion network to combat the issues of color contamination. The proposed coloring encoder accurately extracts object-level semantic information from *** further enhance visual plausibility， we employ a self-supervised adversarial training method. We train the network structure on various datasets with varying amounts of data and evaluate its performance using the ImageNet validation set and COCO validation set. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed RepColor can generate more realistic images compared to previous approaches， showcasing its high generalization ability.

Dynamic magnetic properties of the mixed-spin(3/2,5/2)Ising graphene-like monolayer in an oscillating magnetic field are studied by means of Monte Carlo *** effects of Hamiltonian parameters such as crystal field and time-dependent oscillating magnetic field on the dynamic order parameter,susceptibility and internal energy of the system are well presented and ***,much attention has also been dedicated to the phase diagrams with different parameters in order to better comprehend the impacts of these parameters on the critical *** results reveal that the crystal fields of two sublattices have similar effects on the critical temperature,but the bias field and amplitude of oscillating field have opposite effects on *** hope that our research can be of guiding significance to the theoretical and experimental studies of graphene-like monolayer.

The concept of DG clusters is introduced with highly penetrated integration of distributed generation(DG)into active distribution networks(ADNs).DG clusters are referred to as parts of an ADN,including DGs,distribution lines and *** formation of DG clusters helps to optimally dispatch DG outputs within *** this regard,an integrated planning strategy of ADNs and DGs in cluster(IPNDGC)is *** order to guarantee that the planning strategy meets the reliability requirements,a reliability assessment is considered in the proposed ***,reliability assessment is generally accomplished according to a fixed network topology and known DG allocation,which makes it difficult to integrate reliability into planning *** deal with this difficulty,a novel formulation method for reliability assessment is proposed considering the network topology uncertainties and isolated operating probabilities of DG *** reliability index(RI)represented by expected customer interruption cost(ECOST)is employed in the proposed planning *** planning model is formulated as a mixed integer second order conic programming planning *** actual distribution system is employed to illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed planning model.

Let f ：（M^n, g） → （N^＋1, G） be an isometrical immersion with g = f^＊G, F = （f, df）：（TM^n,g） → （TN^n＋1, Gs） be the isometrical immersion with g= F＊Gs where （df）x ： TxM → Tf（x）N for any x∈ M is the differential map, and Gs be the Sasaki metric on TN induced from G. This paper deals with the geometry of TM^n as a submanifold of TN^n＋1 by the moving frame method. The authors firstly study the extrinsic geometry of TMn in TN^n＋1. Then the integrability of the induced almost complex structure of TM is discussed.

MEAN-VARIANCE MODEL BASED ON FILTERS OF MINIMUM SPANNING TREE

This study aims to reduce the statistical uncertainty of the correlation coefficient matrix in the mean-variance model of Markowitz. A filtering algorithm based on minimum spanning tree （MST） is proposed. Daily data of the 30 stocks of the Hang Seng Index （HSI） and Dow Jones Index （DJI） from 2004 to 2009 are selected as the base dataset. The proposed algorithm is compared with the Markowitz method in terms of risk, reliability, and effective size of the portfolio. Results show that （1） although the predicted risk of portfolio built with the MST is slightly higher than that of Markowitz, the realized risk of MST filtering algorithm is much smaller; and （2） the reliability and the effective size of filtering algorithm based on MST is apparently better than that of the Markowitz portfolio. Therefore, conclusion is that filtering algorithm based on MST improves the mean-variance model of Markowitz.

Identification of karyopherin-alpha 2 as an Oct4 associated protein

The POU domain transcription factor Oct4 is a master regulator in maintaining self-renewal and pluripotency of embryonic stem （ES） cells. To further explore the functional network of Oct4, the yeast two-hybrid system was used to search for Oct4 interacting proteins. PH domain （containing POU domain and homeodomain） of human OCT4 was used as a bait. From the human testis cDNA library, we identified a strong interaction between OCT4 and karyopberin-alpha 2 （KPNA-2）. KPNA2 is involved in active nuclear import of proteins. This finding was confirmed by glutathione S-transferase pull-down and co-immunoprecipitation assays. The interaction between OCT4 and KPNA-2 was further mapped to multiple regions of the two proteins. In addition, we studied nuclear localization signal （NLS） of mouse Oct4 and demonstrated that it is essential for Oct4 nuclear localization. Thus, our data suggest that Oct4 nuclear localization may be mediated by its interaction with KPNA-2.

Synthesis of novel CaCO_3/Ag_2CO_3/Ag I/Ag plasmonic photocatalyst with enhanced visible light photocatalytic activity.

In this work, novel CaCO3/Ag2CO3/AgI/Ag plasmonic photocatalysts were successfully synthesized by a two-step in situ ion exchange process and their photocatalytic properties were studied. The morphology, crystal structure and optical properties of the as-prepared CaCO3/Ag2CO3/AgI/Ag nanocomposites were characterized by transmission electron microscopy （TEM）, X- Ray diffraction （XRD）, and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activity of the obtained nanocomposites was evaluated by the photodegradation of methyl orange （MO） under visible light irradiation. It was found that the as-prepared CaCO3/Ag2CO3/AgI/Ag plasmonic photocatalyst exhibits high visible light photocatalytic activity. With an optimized composition, MO dye can be decomposed by more than 94% within 15 min under visible light irradiation. Moreover, the photocatalytic stability could be greatly improved upon the addition of Na2CO3 into the photocatalytic system. From the proposed photocatalytic mechanism, the strong surface plasmon resonance effect of Ag nanoparticles and the efficient separation of photogenerated electrons and holes can effectively enhance the photocatalytic performance of the CaCO3/Ag2COj AgI/Ag composites.

Structural energy storage composites present advantages in simultaneously achieving structural strength and electrochemical *** of carbon fiber electrodes and resin structural electrolytes in energy storage composite poses challenges in maintaining good mechanical and electrochemical properties at reasonable cost and ***,we report a simple method to fabricate structural supercapacitor using carbon fiber electrodes(modified by Ni-layered double hydroxide(Ni-LDH)and in-situ growth of Co-metal-organic framework(Co-MOF)in a two-step process denoted as Co-MOF/Ni-LDH@CF)and bicontinuous-phase epoxy resin-based structural ***-MOF/Ni-LDH@CF as electrode material exhibits improved specific capacity(42.45 F·g^(-1))and cycle performance(93.3%capacity retention after 1000 cycles)in a three-electrode *** bicontinuous-phase epoxy resin-based structural electrolyte exhibits an ionic conductivity of 3.27×10^(-4) S·cm^(-1).The fabricated Co-MOF/Ni-LDH@CF/SPE-50 structural supercapacitor has an energy density of 3.21 Wh·kg^(-1) at a power density of 42.25 W·kg^(-1),whilst maintaining tensile strength and modulus of 334.6 MPa and 25.2 *** results show practical potential of employing modified commercial carbon fiber electrodes and epoxy resin-based structural electrolytes in structural energy storage applications.
