This study investigates the effect of aluminium oxide nanoparticlesaddition to biodiesel blends made from dairy milk scum on performance and combustion characteristics of the diesel *** dispersion of Al2O3nanoparticles in b20 blends at different concentrations was done with the help of *** number of blends were prepared for the *** Machine learning algorithms(Random Forest（RF）and Catboost) was used for the *** results show that in comparison to biodiesel blends without nanoparticles,the kinematic viscosity and density is higher for fuel blends with *** these Fuel blends have higher calorific *** blends exhibited reduced brake Specific Fuel Consumption（bSFC） of2.85% than the blends without nano particles(Dairy Scum Methyl Ester biodiesel 20%+Neat Diesel 80%（in volume）,DSMEb20),57.14% less CO,40.8% less hydrocarbon,and increased NOxemissions compared to conventional diesel,contributing to the development of environmentally friendly and renewable biofuel blends with *** b20NP30 is the optimal blend for performance and emission *** study concludes with findings on enhanced brake Thermal Efficiency（bTE） of 26.29% in 3×10-5（in volume） Al2O3nanoparticle-blended DSME b20 and other DSME b20 fuel blends,emphasizing the importance of optimal nanoparticle *** correlation matrix shows how engine load,efficiency measures（bTE,bSFC）,and emissions（CO,CO2,NOx,Smoke） are connected in complex *** results help us understand the complicated dynamics of engine performance and emission characteristics ***'s diagram for bTE and bSFC shows that Catboost-based bTE models perform superior to RF-based models during the training as well as testing *** results were obtained for CO and CO2emission results.

Effect of gallium, aluminium, and chromium on silica supported V-Mg-O catalysts during oxidative dehydrogenation of propane: Kinetic study

The oxidative dehydrogenation （ODH） of propane was conducted on gallium, aluminum, and chromium doped Si30VMgO catalysts. On doping, the concentrations of the phases responsible for the activity and selectivity increased in their concentrations. The reaction studies were conducted in a tubular steel reactor at temperatures of 753, 783, 813, and 843 K and atmospheric pressure. The total flow rates of the feed were chosen as 30, 40, 50, and 60 ml/min. The propane to oxygen ratios were chosen at 1 ： 1, 2 ： 1, and 3 ： 1, respectively. The effect of various dopants on the activity and selectivity of the catalysts was studied. Deactivation studies were conducted over all the catalysts. The kinetic data were analyzed in terms of power law models and Langmuir-Hinshelwood （LH） models. The kinetic data results were analyzed by comparing the effect of dopants. Statistical model discrimination was done for the proposed models. AIC and bIC criteria were used for discrimination of the models.

Identification of a high frequency of chromosomal rearrangements in the centromeric regions of prostate cancer patients

The aim of the present investigation was to study the major chromosomal aberrations （CA） like deletion, translocation, inversion and mosaic in prostate cancer patients of Tamilnadu, Southern India. Totally 45 blood samples were collected from various hospitals in Tamilnadu, Southern India. Equal numbers of normal healthy subjects were chosen after signing a consent form. Volunteers provided blood samples （5 ml） to establish leukocyte cultures. Cytogenetic studies were performed by using Giemsaanding technique and finally the results were ensured by spectral karyotyping （SKY） technique. In the present investigation, major CA like deletion, translocation, inversion and mosaic were identifed in experimental subjects. Results showed frequent CA in chromosomes 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 13, 16, 18 and X. In comparison with experimental subjects, the control subjects exhibited very low levels of major CA （P〈0.05）. In the present study, the high frequency of centromeric rearrangements indicates a potential role for mitotic irregularities associated with the centromere in prostate cancer tumorigenesis. Identification of chromosome alterations may be helpful in understanding the molecular basis of the disease in better manner.

Tribology of WC reinforced SiC ceramics: Influence of counterbody

Hot pressed silicon carbide(SiC) composites prepared with 0, 10, 30 or 50 wt% tungsten carbide(WC) are subjected to dry sliding wear against WC-Co and steel ball. In particular an attempt has been made to answer the following important questions:(i) How does the load(from 5 to 20 N) effect sliding wear behaviour of SiC-ceramics against WC-Co and steel counterbodies?(ii) Is there any effect of WC content on friction and wear characteristics of SiC ceramics?(iii) Does the dominant material removal mechanism of SiC ceramics change with the addition of WC or counterbody?(iv) What is the influence of mechanical properties on the sliding wear? Experimental results indicated that coefficient of friction(COF) for the SiC ceramics varied between 0.66 and 0.33 with change in load and counterbodies. Wear volume for SiC ceramics found approximately 6-10 times more against WC-Co as compared against steel. Wear volume changes from 2.0 × 10^(–3)mm^3 to 1.2 × 10^(–2)mm^3 with change in counterbodies for SiC -(10, 30 or 50 wt%) WC composite at 20 N. SiC ceramics indicated abrasion and composites reveal tribochemical wear as major material removal mechanisms. Wear is influenced by the hardness of counterbody and fracture toughness of SiC -WC composites.

Remote sensing and GIS for land use/cover mapping and integrated land management： case from the middle Ganga plain

In India, land resources have reached a critical stage due to the rapidly growing population. This challenge requires an integrated approach toward harnes- sing land resources, while taking into account the vulnerable environmental conditions. Remote sensing and Geographical Information System （GIS） based technologies may be applied to an area in order to generate a sustainable development plan that is optimally suited to the terrain and to the productive potential of the local resources. The present study area is a part of the middle Ganga plain, known as Son-Karamnasa interfluve, in India. Alternative land use systems and the integration of livestock enterprises with the agricultural system have been suggested for land resources management. The objective of this paper is to prepare a land resource development plan in order to increase the productivity of land for sustainable development. The present study will contribute necessary input for policy makers to improve the socio-eeonomic and environmental conditions of the region.

Optimal Simultaneous Allocation of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and Capacitors in Radial Distribution Network Considering Reliability

The popularity of electric vehicles(EVs)has sparked a greater awareness of carbon emissions and climate *** mobility expansion and EV adoption have led to an increased infrastructure for electric vehicle charging stations(EVCSs),impacting radial distribution networks(RDNs).To reduce the impact of voltage drop,the increased power loss(PL),lower system interruption costs,and proper allocation and positioning of the EVCSs and capacitors are *** paper focuses on the allocation of EVCS and capacitor installations in RDN by maximizing net present value(NPV),considering the reduction in energy losses and interruption *** a part of the analysis considering reliability,several compensation coefficients are used to evaluate failure rates and pinpoint those that will improve *** locate the best nodes for EVCSs and capacitors,the hybrid of grey wolf optimization(GWO)and particle swarm optimization(PSO)(HGWO_PSO)and the hybrid of PSO and Cuckoo search(CS)(HPSO_CS)algorithms are proposed,forming a combination of GWO,PSO,and CS *** impact of EVCSs on NPV is also investigated in this *** effectiveness of the proposed optimization algorithms is validated on an IEEE 33-bus RDN.

An analysis of the solute dispersion in the liquid flowing through a pipe by means of Aris–barton's ‘method of moments', under the joint effect of some finite yield stress and irreversible absorption into the wall is presented in this paper. The liquid is considered as a three-layer liquid where the center region is Casson liquid surrounded by Newtonian liquid layer. A significant change from previous modelling exercises in the study of hydrodynamic dispersion, different molecular diffusivity has been considered for the different region yet to be constant. For all time period, finite difference implicit scheme has been adopted to solve the integral moment equation arising from the unsteady convective diffusion equation. The purpose of the study is to find the dependency of solute transport coefficients on absorption parameter, yield stress, viscosity ratio, peripheral layer variation and in addition with various diffusivity coefficients in different liquid layers. This kind of study may be useful for understanding the dispersion process in the blood flow analysis.

Fuzzy Reliability and Availability of System under a Calendar-based Inspection Involving Multiple Failures and Its Application to Wind Turbine System

Uncertainty is an important factor that needs to be considered while analyzing the performance of any engineering *** order to quantify uncertainty,fuzzy set theory is frequently used by most of researchers,including energy system *** to the classical reliability theory,component lifetimes have crisp parameters,but due to uncertainty and inaccuracy in data,it is sometimes very difficult to determine the exact values of these parameters in real-world *** overcome this difficulty in the current research,failure and repair rates were taken as triangular fuzzy numbers to determine the fuzzy availability of a system undergoing calendar-based periodic inspection subject to multiple failure modes(FMs).It was assumed that each component in the system had an exponential failure rate and repair rate with fuzzy *** FMs were explicitly taken into account when a functional state of the system was *** FM had a random failure *** the occurrence of any failure,a random time was selected for the relevant corrective repair *** proposed research was studied for one of the major sources of green energy,namely a wind turbine system wherein all the derived propositions have been implemented on it.

Properties of bottomonium in a semi-relativistic model

Using a semi-relativistic potential model we investigate the spectra and decays of the bottomonium （bbˉ） system. The Hamiltonian of our model consists of a relativistic kinetic energy term, a vector Coulomb-like potential and a scalar confining potential. Using this Hamiltonian, we obtain a spinless wave equation, which is then reduced to the form of a single particle Schrodinger equation. The spin dependent potentials are introduced as a perturbation. The three-dimensional harmonic oscillator wave function is employed as a trial wave function and the bbˉ mass spectrum is obtained by the variational method. The model parameters and the wave function that reproduce the the bbˉ spectrum are then used to investigate some of their decay properties. The results obtained are then compared with the experimental data and with the predictions of other theoretical models.

Tribological characteristics of friction stir processed graphite and tin/LM24 surface composites

Friction stir processing(FSP)is an emerging solid-state technique for preparing surface composites using various *** and metallic particles are easily reinforced in a matrix by this *** composites made from an LM24 alloy reinforced with graphite and tin,with good wettability and material flow owing to the low melting point of tin,were fabricated by FSP at two rotational speeds of 1,400 and 1,000 *** its low hardness,the graphite/LM24 surface composite fabricated at a higher rotational speed of 1,400 rpm exhibited better wear ***,its frictional behavior was not significantly affected by the *** fabricated surface composites with graphite and tin reinforcement as well as graphite-only reinforcement exhibited contradicting behaviors under sliding wear *** post wear analysis indicated that abrasion,adhesion,layer formation,and delamination occurred on the composite surfaces.
