There is a strong evidence supporting the hypothesis of synaptic dysfunction as a major contributor to neural circuit and network disruption underlying emotional and mood dysregulation in psychiatric disorders(simmons et al.,2024).Diverse sets of distinct molecular signaling pathways converge on the synapse to regulate synaptogenesis,synaptic function,and synaptic plasticity in brain regions and circuits through complex interactions organized by numerous multivalent protein scaffolds,including the family of proteins known as A-kinase anchoring proteins(AKAPs).

AIm： To study the role of an insertion/deletion polymorphism in the pepsinogen C （PGC） gene, an effective marker for terminal differentiation of the stomach mucosa, in the susceptibility to the development of gastric lesions. mETHODs： The study was performed with 99 samples of known gastric lesions and 127 samples without evidence of neoplastic disease. PCR was employed and the 6 polymorphic alleles were amplified： Allele 1 （510 bp）, Allele 2 （480 bp）, Allele 3/4 （450/460 bp）, Allele 5 （400 bp） and Allele 6 （310 bp）. REsUlTs： Our results revealed that Allele 6 carriers seemed to have protection against the development of any gastric lesion （OR = 0.34; P 〈 0.001）, non-dysplastic lesions associated with gastric adenocarcinoma such as atrophy or intestinal metaplasia （OR = 0.28; P 〈 0.001） or invasive GC （OR = 0.39; P = 0.004）. CONClUsION： Our study reveals that the Allele 6 carrier status has a protective role in the development of gastric lesions, probably due to its association with higher expression of PGC. moreover, the frequency of Allele 6 carriers in the control group is far higher than that obtained in Asian populations, which might represent a genetic gap between Caucasian and Asian populations.

The long-term seepage of hydrocarbons, either as macroseepage or microseepage, can set up near-surface oxidation reduction zones that favor the development of a diverse array of chemical and mineralogical changes. The bacterial oxidation of light hydrocarbons can directly or indirectly bring about significant changes in the values of pH and Eh of the surrounding environment, thereby also changing the stability fields of the different mineral species present in that environment. The paper reports the role of hydrocarbon microseepage in surface alterations of trace metal concentrations. In this study trace metal alterations were mapped that appear to be associated with hydrocarbon microseepages in the oil/ gas fields. A total of 50 soil samples were collected near oil and gas fields of the Tatipaka and Pasarlapudi areas of the Krishna Godavari Basin, Andhra Pradesh. The soil samples were collected from a depth of 2-2.5 m. The paper reports the chemical alterations associated with trace metals in soils that are related to hydrocarbon microseepages above some of the major oil and gas fields of this petroliferous region. Trace metals, such as scandium （sc）, vanadium （V）, chromium （Cr）, cobalt （Co）, nickel （Ni）, copper （Cu）, zinc （Zn）, barium （Ba） and strontium （sr）, in soil samples were analyzed using inductively coupled plasma- mass spectrometry （ICP-ms）. The concentrations of sc （8 to 40 mg/kg）, V （197 to 489 mg/kg）, Cr （106 to 287 mg/kg）, Co （31 to 52 mg/kg）, Ni （65 to 110 mg/kg）, Cu （88 to 131 mg/kg）, Zn （88 to 471 mg/kg）, Ba （263 to 3,091 mg/kg） and sr （119 to 218 mg/kg） were obtained. It was observed that the concentrations of trace elements were tremendously increased when they were compared with their normal concentrations in soils. The analysis of adsorbed soil gas showed the presence of high concentrations of YC2＋（C2H6, C3H8 and n-C4H10） ranging from 7 to 222 μg/kg respectively. laminated composite materials are widely implemented in several engineering constructions. For its relative light weight, these materials are suitable for aerospace, military, marine, and automotive structural applications. To obtain safe and economical structures, the modelling analysis accuracy is highly relevant. since meshless methods in the recent years achieved a remarkable progress in computational mechanics, the present work uses one of the most flexible and stable interpolation meshless technique available in the literature—the Radial Point Interpolation method(RPIm).Here, a 2 D approach is considered to numerically analyse composite laminated beams. Both the meshless formulation and the equilibrium equations ruling the studied physical phenomenon are presented with detail. several benchmark beam examples are studied and the results are compared with exact solutions available in the literature and the results obtained from a commercial finite element software. The results show the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed numeric technique.

In 2008 structural failures occurred on the asphalt pavement,with a hydraulic blast furnace slag base,of the motorway A32 (constructed in 1986～1988) in the Netherlands. Within a few weeks serious depressions occurred,in which the asphalt pavement was full of cracks and the base had a very low stiffness. In 2008 and 2009 the pavement including the base was rehabilitated over a length of 10 *** Dutch ministry of Public Works has initiated an extensive research into the risks of occurrence of this type of unexpected structural damages on the main road network in the Netherlands. Among many other things this research includes material research into the base material of the A32 to find the cause of the structural *** total 130 cores,divided over 26 cross-sections,were drilled from the A32. The cross-sections were divided over 3 areas,with a high and low base stiffness respectively and also at heaves that had grown into the pavement since 1998. In areas with high base stiffness the cores mainly contained bound base material,in areas with low base stiffness mainly granular material and at the heaves it was a mix thereof. standard (static) and dynamic crushing tests were done on the granular material. Dynamic and monotonic indirect tensile tests and compression tests were performed on the bound material. In all cases no systematic difference was found between the mechanical properties of the blast furnace slag base material from the heavily loaded right traffic lane and the material from the other *** is concluded that the pavement failure on the A32 is introduced by the occurrence of full depth asphalt fatigue cracks in the pavement that was originally designed for 12 years (but was never strengthened) in areas where the base stiffness always has been low or became low through crushing (that also has resulted in the heaves). Fluid-particle systems as commonly encountered in chemical, metallurgical and petroleum industries are mostly polydisperse in nature. However, the relations used to describe fluid-particle interactions are originally derived from monodisperse systems, with ad hoc modifications to account for polydispersity. In previous work it was shown that for bidisperse systems with moderate diameter ratios of 1：2 to 1：4, this approach leads to discrepancies, and a correction factor is needed. In this work we demonstrate that this correction factor also holds for more extreme diameter ratios of 1：5, 1：7 and 1： 10, although the force on the large particles is slightly overestimated when using the correction factor. The main origin of the correction is that the void surrounding the large particles becomes less in case ofa bidisperse mixture, as compared to a monodisperse system with the same volume fraction. We further investigated this discrepancy by calculating the volume per particle by means of Voronoi tessellation.
