We investigate the interactions of charged particles with straight and bent single-walled carbon nanotubes （SWnTs） under channeling conditions in the presence of dynamic polarization of the valence electrons in carbon, This polarization is described by a cylindrical, two-fluid hydrodynamic model with the parameters taken from the recent modelling of several independent experiments on electron energy loss spectroscopy of carbon nano-structures. We use the hydrodynamic model to calculate the image potential for protons moving through four types of SWnTs at a speed of 3 atomic units. The image potential is then combined with the Doyle-Turner atomic potential to obtain the total potential in the bent carbon nanotubes. Using that potential, we also compute the spatial and angular distributions of protons channeled through the bent carbon nanotubes, and compare the results with the distributions obtained without taking into account the image potential.

Modifying polypropylene membranes with interpenetrating polymer networks(IPns) through the incorporation of poly(glycidyl methacrylate-n-methyl-D-glucamine)(P(GMA-nMG)) was performed by in situ synthesis via radical polymerization. The surface of the polypropylene membrane was activated by hydrophilic grafted polyelectrolyte, and then, pressure injection was used for the impregnation of the reactive solution in the *** types of pore-filled membranes were synthesized, chelating interpenetrating homopolymer networks of P(GMA-nMG), and chelating-ion exchange interpenetrating polymer networks(e.g., P(GMA-nMG)/P(AA),P(GMA-nMG)/P(AMPSA), and P(GMA-nMG)/P(Cl VBTA)). After their synthesis, the modified polypropylene membranes were characterized using techniques such as the electrokinetic potential, SEM, FT-IR, and Donnan dialysis to corroborate the chromium ion transport. The P(GMA-nMG) and complex network membranes exhibited a hydrophilic character with a water-uptake capacity between 20% and 35% and a percentage of modification between 4.0% and 7.0% in comparison with the behavior of the unmodified polypropylene *** chromium ions were efficiently transported from the food chamber at p h 9.0 when the 65.2%MTA1 P(Cl VBTA) homopolymer IPn membrane and 48.5% MTAG P(GMA-nMG)/P(Cl VBTA) IPn membrane were used. Similarly, hexavalent chromium ions were removed from the food chamber at ph 3.0 when MTAG(63.30%) and MTA1(35.68%) were used in 1 mol·l^(-1)na Cl solution as the extraction reagent.

This work aimed to evaluate the effects of supplementation of Parkia biglobosa fruit pulp flour in the CPAVI chicken ration on the growth performance and carcass characteristics of local chickens. This study involved 50 local chicks of eight weeks of age. Chickens were divided into 5 groups of 10 chicks corresponding to five experimental rations containing 0%, 1%, 2%, 3% and 4% pulp from fruits of P. biglobosa. The nutritional composition of P. biglobosa fruit pulps were analyzed, then growth parameters and carcass characteristics were measured. The results showed that the fruit pulps of P. biglobosa were rich in metabolizable energy (4015.02 ± 0.21 Kcal/kg), crude fiber (16.88% ADF and 19.81% nDF) and potassium (2.45% ± 0.01%). Thus, the group of local chickens fed the diet containing 1% supplementation had a significantly higher live weight (1200.85 g) and carcass yield (91.99 g) (P supplementation. Additionally, individual feed consumption and average daily gain of the group at 1% supplementation were higher. In short, the flour from the pulp of the fruit of Parkia biglobosa can be supplemented up to 1% in the CPAVI pullet type feed for local chickens.

Reflex bleeding is an important antipredator defense mechanism in *** examined the costs of reflex bleeding in larval and adult stages of the ladybird beetle harmonia axyridis on offspring fitness and reproductive performance through the comparisons between bled and control larvae,reciprocal crosses of bled/control beetles,and early and late clutch *** bled during their larval stage spent a longer time in development and weighed less than *** fertility was reduced for crosses where either one or both parents had been bled during the larval or adult *** crosses that included a parent bled during the larval stage suffered fitness costs in development and female body mass,while those bled during the adult stage suffered no transgenerational *** that suffered bleeding during their larval stage accelerated progeny development of nonbled females in early clutches,suggesting a positive transgenerational effect of larval bleeding,while males that did not suffer bleeding accelerated progeny development of bled females in later *** the underlying effects of bleeding on females'offspring in the early clutches were diminished in the late ones,suggesting another transgenerational *** strengths of maternal and paternal effects on progeny development of parents bled at the larval stage were higher in earlier *** study suggests that *** adults are less affected than larvae by the frequent use of the defensive secretions in their stressful habitats.

On parabolic flights,the growth of ettringite,[Ca3Al(Oh)6·12h2O]2·(SO4)3·2h2O,a major reaction product of cement with water which forms instantaneously,was crystallized under microgravity conditions and *** the experiments,Ca(Oh)2/Al2(SO4)3 solutions were combined and reacted for 10?s,followed by immediate filtration of the suspension and subsequent quenching with *** the ettringite crystals,the size,aspect ratios,quantity and morphology were determined and the results were compared with those from identical experiments performed under terrestric *** microgravity,generally smaller crystals (l-2.9 μm) precipitated in larger amount than under normal gravity (l-3.5 μm).The aspect ratios of the crystals grown under terrestric or microgravity condition were comparable at about *** is assumed that the reason for the smaller ettringite crystals is the absence of convection leading to more initial nuclei,but slower crystal growth which is diffusion ***,no preference relative to the ion transport to the different faces of the crystals *** results contribute to the understanding of the mineralization of inorganic salts under microgravity conditions for which hitherto only a handful of examples were reported.

近年来,眼科门诊手术麻醉日见增多,某些概念也有变化,特别是眼部区域阻滞、眼内压(IOP)、斜视矫正和眼内气体交换等均有进一步阐述。一、内眼手术时的区域阻滞球后阻滞是把局麻药注入眼球后方的眼外肌圆锥(肌肉漏斗)内,常用等容量的2％利多卡因和0.75％布比卡因混合液3～4ml,加1:200,000肾上腺索和透明质酸酶150U。面神经阻滞常用1％或2％利多卡因5～10ml。球后阻滞后发生的并发症中以球后血肿最常见,发生率约1％,往往是由于刺破眶内血管引起静脉或动脉出血。如遇到球后出血,应暂停手术进行观察。
