Hybrid level anharmonicity and interference-induced photon blockade in a two-qubit cavity QED system with dipole–dipole interaction

We theoretically study a quantum destructive interference (QDI)-induced photon blockade in a two-qubit driven cavity quantum electrodynamics system with dipole–dipole interaction (DDI). In the absence of dipole–dipole interaction,we show that a QDI-induced photon blockade can be achieved only when the qubit resonance frequency is different from the cavity mode frequency. When DDI is introduced the condition for this photon blockade is strongly dependent upon the pump field frequency,and yet is insensitive to the qubit–cavity coupling strength. Using this tunability feature we show that the conventional energy-level-anharmonicity-induced photon blockade and this DDI-based QDI-induced photon blockade can be combined together,resulting in a hybrid system with substantially improved mean photon number and second-order correlation function. Our proposal provides a nonconventional and experimentally feasible platform for generating single photons.

Fully amorphous Zr_(52.5)Cu_(17.9)Ni_(14.6)Al_(10)Ti_(5) bulk metallic glass(BMG) samples with a relative density exceeding 98% were fabricated via selective laser melting(SlM).High fracture stresses of around1700 MPa and a reproducible plastic strain of about 0.5% were obtained for cylindrical SlM *** analysis of the observed serrations during compressive loading implies that the shear-band dynamics in the additively manufactured samples distinctly differ from those of the as-cast *** phenomenon appears to originate from the presence of uniformly dispersed spherical pores as well as from the more pronounced heterogeneity of the glass itself as revealed by instrumented *** these heterogeneities,the shear bands are straight and form in the plane of maximum shear *** manufacturing,hence,might not only allow for producing large BMG samples with complex geometries but also for manipulating their deformation behaviour through tailoring porosity and structural heterogeneity.

We demonstrate the generation,spectral broadening and post-compression of second harmonic pulses using a thin beta barium borate(BBO)crystal on a fused-silica substrate as the nonlinear interaction *** combining second harmonic generation in the BBO crystal with self-phase modulation in the fused-silica substrate,we efficiently generate millijoule-level broadband violet pulses from a single optical *** second harmonic spectrum covers a range from long wave ultraviolet(down to 310 nm)to visible(up to 550 nm)with a bandwidth of 65 ***,we compress the second harmonic beam to a duration of 4.8 fs with a pulse energy of 0.64 mJ(5 fs with a pulse energy of 1.05 mJ)using chirped *** all-solid free-space apparatus is compact,robust and pulse energy scalable,making it highly advantageous for generating intense second harmonic pulses from near-infrared femtosecond lasers in the sub-5 fs regime.

Volt-var control(VVC)is essentially a non-convex optimization problem due to the non-convexity of power flow(PF)constraints,resulting in the difficulty in obtaining the optimum without convexity *** existing second-order cone method for the convexity conversion often leads to a sharp increase in PF constraints and optimization variables,which in turn increases the optimization difficulty or even leads to optimization *** paper first proposes a deterministic VVC method based on convex deep learning power flow(DlPF).This method uses the input convex neural network(ICNN)to establish a single convex mapping between state parameters and node voltage to complete the convexity conversion while the optimization variables only correspond to reactive power equipment,which can ensure the global optimum with extremely fast computation *** cope with the impact brought by the uncertainty of distributed energy and omit the additional worst scenario search of traditional robust VVC,this paper proposes robust VVC method based on convex deep learning interval power flow(DlIPF),which continues to adopt ICNN to establish another convex mapping between state parameters and node voltage *** DlIPF with DlPF,this method decreases the modeling and optimization difficulty of robust VVC *** results on 30-bus,118-bus,and 200-bus systems prove the correctness and rapidity of the proposed methods.

The worldwide proliferation of portable electronics has resulted in a dramatic increase in the number of spent lithium-ion batteries(lIBs).However,traditional recycling methods still have limitations because of such huge amounts of spent ***,we proposed an ecofriendly and sustainable double recycling strategy to concurrently reuse the cathode(liCoO_(2))and anode(graphite)materials of spent lIBs and recycled liCoPO_(4)/graphite(RlCPG)in li^(+)/PF^(-)_(6) co-de/intercalation dual-ion *** recycle-derived dualion batteries of li/RlCPG show impressive electrochemical performance,with an appropriate discharge capacity of 86.2 mAh·g^(-1) at25 mA·g^(-1) and 69%capacity retention after 400 *** recycling of the cathode and anode from spent lIBs avoids wastage of resources and yields cathode materials with excellent performance,thereby offering an ecofriendly and sustainable way to design novel secondary batteries.

Du Fort-Frankel finite difference method(FDM)was firstly proposed for linear diffusion equations with periodic boundary conditions by Du Fort and Frankel in *** is an explicit and unconditionally von Neumann stable ***,there has been no research work on numerical solutions of nonlinear Schrödinger equations with wave operator by using Du Fort-Frankel-type finite difference methods(FDMs).In this study,a class of invariants-preserving Du Fort-Frankel-type FDMs are firstly proposed for one-dimensional(1D)and two-dimensional(2D)nonlinear Schrödinger equations with wave *** using the discrete energy method,it is shown that their solutions possess the discrete energy and mass conservative laws,and conditionally converge to exact solutions with an order of for ofο(T^(2)+h_(x)^(2)+(T/h_(x))^(2))1D problem and an order ofο(T^(2)+h_(x)^(2)+h_(Y)^(2)+(T/h_(X))^(2)+(T/h_(y))^(2))for 2D problem in ***,τdenotes time-step size,while,hx and hy represent spatial meshsizes in x-and y-directions,***,by introducing a stabilized term,a type of stabilized invariants-preserving Du Fort-Frankel-type FDMs are *** not only preserve the discrete energies and masses,but also own much better stability than original ***,numerical results demonstrate the theoretical analyses.
