Hernandezine(Her),a bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloid extracted from Thalictrum flavum,is recognized for its range of biological activities inherent to this herbal *** its notable properties,the anti-cancer effects of Her have remained largely *** this study,we elucidated that Her significantly induced cytotoxicity in cancer cells through the activation of apoptosis and necroptosis ***,Her triggered autophagosome formation by activating the AMPK and ATG5 conjugation systems,leading to lc3 *** findings revealed that Her caused damage to the mitochondrial membrane,with the damaged mitochondria undergoing mitophagy,as evidenced by the elevated expression of mitophagy ***,Her disrupted autophagic flux,demonstrated by the upregulation of p62 and accumulation of autolysosomes,as observed in the RFP-GFP-lc3 reporter ***,we determined that Her did not prevent the fusion of autophagosomes and ***,it inhibited the maturation of cathepsin D and increased lysosomal pH,indicating an impairment of lysosomal *** use of the early-stage autophagy inhibitor,3-methyladenine(3-MA),did not suppress lc3II,suggesting that Her also induces noncanonical autophagy in autophagosome *** application of Bafilomycin A1,an inhibitor of noncanonical autophagy,diminished the recruitment of ATG16l1 and the accumulation of lc3II by Her,thereby augmenting Her-induced cell *** observations imply that while autophagy initially plays a protective role,the disruption of the autophagic process by Her promotes programmed cell *** study provides the first evidence of Her’s dual role in inducing apoptosis and necroptosis while also initiating and subsequently impairing autophagy to promote apoptotic cell *** insights contribute to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms underlying programmed cell death,offering potential avenues for enhancing cancer prevention and therapeutic st

Effect of oxide interactions on chromium speciation transformation during simulated municipal solid waste incineration

chromium released during municipal solid waste incineration(MSWI)is toxic and *** removal of chromium from simulated MSWI flue gas by four sorbents(caO,bamboo charcoal(Bc),powdered activated carbon(PAc),and Al_(2)O_(3))and the effects of four oxides(SiO_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),Fe_(2)O_(3),and caO)on chromium speciation transformationwere *** results showed that the removal rates of total cr by the four sorbents were Al_(2)O_(3)caOcc,while the removal rates of cr(Ⅵ)by the four sorbents were Al_(2)O_(3)ccct on cr(Ⅲ),while Bc and PAc had a better-reducing effect on cr(Ⅵ).SiO_(2)was better for the reduction of Na_(2)crO_(4)and K_(2)crO_(4)above 1000℃due to its strong acidity,and the addition of caO significantly inhibited the reduction of cr(Ⅵ).MgcrO_(4)decomposed above 700℃to form Mgcr_(2)O_(4),and the reaction between MgcrO_(4)and oxides also existed in the form of a more stable trivalent ***,when investigating the effect of oxides on the oxidation of cr(Ⅲ)in crc_(l3),it was discovered that caO promoted the conversion of cr(Ⅲ)to cr(Ⅵ),while the presence of chlorine caused chromium to exist in the form of cr(V),and increasing the content of caO and extending the heating time facilitated the oxidation of cr(Ⅲ).In addition,silicate,aluminate,and ferrite were generated after the addition of SiO_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),and Fe_(2)O_(3),which reduced the alkalinity of caO and had an important role in inhibiting the oxidation of cr(Ⅲ).The acidic oxides can not only promote the reduction of cr(Ⅵ)but also have an inhibitory effect on the oxidation of cr(Ⅲ)ascribed to alkali metals/alkaline earth metals,and the proportion of acidic oxides can be increased moderately to reduce the generation of harmful substances in the hazardous solid waste heat treatment.

Ethylene (c2H4) methoxycarbonylation (EMc) with cO and methanol (cH3OH) to methyl propanoate (MP) is industrially important due to its 100% atom efficiency [1].However, the heavy reliance on homogeneous Pd-based catalysts and strong acid media over commercial EMc processes still causes economic and environmental concerns [2]. At present, supported single-atom catalysts (SAcs) can serve as bridges for accessing homogeneous catalysts in traditional heterogeneous catalytic processes.

An Efficient local Radial Basis Function Method for Image Segmentation Based on the chan-Vese Model

In this paper,we consider the chan–Vese(c-V)model for image segmentation and obtain its numerical solution accurately and *** this purpose,we present a local radial basis function method based on a Gaussian kernel(GA-lRBF)for spatial *** to the standard radial basis functionmethod,this approach consumes less cPU time and maintains good stability because it uses only a small subset of points in the whole computational ***,since the Gaussian function has the property of dimensional separation,the GA-lRBF method is suitable for dealing with isotropic ***,a numerical scheme that couples GA-lRBF with the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method is applied to the c-V model,and a comparison of some numerical results demonstrates that this scheme achieves much more reliable image segmentation.

Among over 170 different types of chemical modifications on RNA nucleobases identified so far,RNA methylation is the major type of epitranscriptomic modifications existing on almost all types of RNAs,and has been demonstrated to participate in the entire process of RNA metabolism,including transcription,pre-mRNA alternative splicing and maturation,mRNA nucleus export,mRNA degradation and stabilization,mRNA *** to the development of high-throughput detection technologies and the identification of both dynamic regulators and recognition proteins,mechanisms of RNA methylation modification in regulating the normal development of the organism as well as various disease occurrence and developmental abnormalities upon RNA methylation dysregulation have become increasingly ***,we particularly focus on three types of RNA methylations:N^(6)-methylcytosine(m^(6)A),5-methylcytosine(m^(5)c),and N^(7)-methyladenosine(m^(7)G).We summarize the elements related to their dynamic installment and removal,specific binding proteins,and the development of high-throughput detection ***,for a comprehensive understanding of their biological significance,we also overview the latest knowledge on the underlying mechanisms and key roles of these three mRNA methylation modifications in gametogenesis,embryonic development,immune system development,as well as disease and tumor progression.

Probabilistic-Ellipsoid Hybrid Reliability Multi-Material Topology Optimization Method Based on Stress constraint

This paper proposes a multi-material topology optimization method based on the hybrid reliability of the probability-ellipsoid model with stress constraint for the stochastic uncertainty and epistemic uncertainty of mechanical loads in optimization *** probabilistic model is combined with the ellipsoidal model to describe the uncertainty of mechanical *** topology optimization formula is combined with the ordered solid isotropic material with penalization(ordered-SIMP)multi-material interpolation *** stresses of all elements are integrated into a global stress measurement that approximates the maximum stress using the normalized p-norm ***,the sequential optimization and reliability assessment(SORA)is applied to transform the original uncertainty optimization problem into an equivalent deterministic topology optimization(DTO)*** response surface and sparse grid technique are combined with SORA to get accurate information on the most probable failure point(MPP).In each cycle,the equivalent topology optimization formula is updated according to the MPP information obtained in the previous *** adjoint variable method is used for deriving the sensitivity of the stress constraint and the moving asymptote method(MMA)is used to update design ***,the validity and feasibility of the method are verified by the numerical example of l-shape beam design,T-shape structure design,steering knuckle,and 3D T-shaped beam.

Bolstering the Mechanical Robustness of Supramolecular Polymer Network by Mechanical Bond

Supramolecular polymer networks(SPNs)are celebrated for their dynamic nature,yet they often exhibit inadequate mechanical *** far,the quest to bolster the mechanical resilience of SPNs while preserving their dynamic character presents a formidable ***,we introduce[2]rotaxane into SPN to serve as another cross-link,which could effectively enhance the mechanical robustness of the polymer network without losing the dynamic *** with SPN,the dually cross-linked network(DPN)demonstrates superior breaking strength,Young’s modulus,puncture force and toughness,underscoring its superior ***,the cyclic tensile tests reveal that the energy dissipation capacity of DPN rivals,and in some cases surpasses,that of SPN,owing to the efficient energy dissipation pathway facilitated by[2]*** addition,benefiting from stable topological structure of[2]rotaxane,DPN exhibits accelerated recovery from deformation,indicating superior elasticity compared to *** strategy elevates the performance of SPNs across multiple metrics,presenting a promising avenue for the development of high-performance dynamic materials.

A high-sensitive and self-selective humanoid mechanoreceptor for spatiotemporal tactile stimuli cognition

The cognition of spatiotemporal tactile stimuli,including fine spatial stimuli and static/dynamic temporal stimuli,is paramount for intelligent robots to feel their surroundings and complete manipulation ***,current tactile sensors have restrictions on simultaneously demonstrating high sensitivity and performing selective responses to static/dynamic stimuli,making it a challenge to effectively cognize spatiotemporal tactile ***,we report a high-sensitive and self-selective humanoid mechanoreceptor(HMR)that can precisely respond to spatiotemporal tactile *** HMR with PDMS/chitosan@cNTs(PDMS:polydimethylsiloxane;cNT:carbon nanotube)graded microstructures and polyurethane hierarchical porous spacer exhibits high sensitivity of 3790.8 kPa^(-1).The HMR demonstrates self-selective responses to static and dynamic stimuli with mono signal through the hybrid of piezoresistive and triboelectric ***,it can respond to spatiotemporal tactile stimuli and generate distinguishable and multi-type characteristic *** the assistance of the convolutional neural network,multiple target objects can be easily identified with a high accuracy of 99.1%.This work shows great potential in object precise identification and dexterous manipulation,which is the basis of intelligent robots and natural human-machine interactions.
