The sedimentology and geomorphology of landforms along Keriya River,that traverse the Kunlun Mountains and Taklamakan Desert,were studied to examine the relationship between environmental change and landscape evolution in mountains and desert margins of the Taklamakan *** region is divided into four geomorphic provinces:desert with active dunes and sand seas;desert pediment with fans;and foothills with deep gorges and glaciated mountains.A succession of three fans with dunes is differentiated on the basis of morphostratigraphy and relative weathering. The oldest fan and dunes are radiocarbon dated to～29 *** fan probably formed as a response to increased meltwater and sediment loads as glaciers retreated at the end of the local last glacial maximum in the Kunlun *** and glacial features throughout the region show that, during the last glacial,the snowline was lowered to～4000m a.s.l.,permafrost existed down to an altitude of～1800m a.s.l.,and that the likely temperature depression was～10℃.Radiocarbon dates on sand dunes and tamarisk hills help dune the age of the lower two terraces to>1.5 ka and a few hundred years BR This suggests that these terraces may have formed in response to increased precipitation during more humid times at～2 ka and during the little Ice Age,*** landforms and sediments in this region are polygenetic in origin,being transported,eroded and deposited by glacial,fluvial,aeolian and lacustrine *** size characteristics show that the fluvial sediments were substantially modified down *** contrast,the aeolian sediments were modified as they were transported toward the mountains from the desert by the dominant northerly *** complex interaction between environmental change and earth surface processes provides an important framework for examining the environmental consequences of the recently growing population and intensified agricultural activities along the mountain and desert margins

塔合曼滑坡体是发育在新疆帕米尔高原东部1895年塔什库尔干7级地震区北端的一个大型滑坡体,总体呈"舌"形,由崩塌区、滑坡区和堆积区三部分组成,在滑坡区和堆积区分别形成了平行与垂直于滑坡体滑动方向的滑坡体台阶。本文介绍了该滑坡体的基本特征并采用宇宙成因核素测年技术对其形成年代进行了测定,简要论述了该测年技术的基本原理、野外采样原则及样品前处理过程。采自滑坡体不同部位的6个片麻岩巨砾样品的^(10)Be暴露年龄结果非常一致,表明该滑坡体发生在6.8±0.2ka,同时也表明了^(10)Be暴露测年是研究大型滑坡的有效测年手段。结合该滑坡体被慕士塔格断层断错并形成断层陡坎、滑坡体内发育的冲沟规模以及巨砾表面较厚的岩石漆,我们认为该滑坡体并非1895年地震的产物。

Programmable hyper-coded holography has the advantage of being programmable as well as being flexibly *** coded metamaterials with excellent electromagnetic modulation capability and the ability to control the phase to modulate the spatial radiation field through external excitation in the form of switching can be used to realize low-cost digital *** design a 1-bit encoded programmable metasurface,which is electrically connected to control the PIN diode in the switching state and to switch the condition of each metasurface cell between“0”and“1.”Using the designed programmable metasurface,we can randomly encode the cell structure to realize single-focus focusing,multi-focusing,and simple holographic letter *** on the nonlinear holographic model,we employ the Gerchberg-Saxton improvement algorithm to modulate the energy distribution at the focus by adjusting the phase ***,we introduce the Fourier convolution principle to regulate the holographic imaging focus flexibly.

2005年10月8日发生的MW7.6克什米尔地震在喜马拉雅地区的巴基斯坦与印度的北部触发了数千个滑坡。这些滑坡密集分布于6个地貌—地质—人类活动环境区内。基于ASTER卫星影像和GIS技术,构建并分析了一个包含2252个滑坡的空间数据库。应用滑坡多元评估判据确定单次地震事件触发滑坡各个地震滑坡控制参数的重要性。这些控制参数包括岩性、断裂、坡度、坡向、高程、土地覆盖类型、河流与公路。结果展示了4类级别的滑坡易发区域。此外,结果还表明了岩性对滑坡的影响作用最大,尤其在岩石高度破碎区域,例如页岩、板岩、碎屑岩、石灰岩与白云岩。还有,距离断层、河流与公路较近也是滑坡发生的一个重要因素。滑坡也常常发生在坡向朝南的中海拔斜坡上。灌木林地、草原、农业用地也是滑坡易发区域,而森林覆盖的斜坡较少发育滑坡。研究区的1/3被滑坡极高易发区或高易发区所覆盖,需要开展快速的滑坡减灾措施。其余的区域为滑坡低易发区与中易发区,相对稳定。本文研究支持以下观点:(1)地震触发滑坡往往发生在地震滑坡控制参数相关的特定区域内;(2)在西喜马拉雅地区,森林砍伐与公路建设往往是同震滑坡或地震后短期内滑坡发生的重要控制因素。

Spatiotemporal dynamics in butterfly hybrid zones

Evaluating whether hybrid zones are stable or mobile can provide novelinsights for evolution and conservation biology. Butterflies exhibit high sensitivity to envi-ronmental changes and represent an important model system for the study of hybrid zoneorigins and maintenance. Here, we review the literature exploring butterfly hybrid zones,with a special focus on their spatiotemporal dynamics and the potential mechanisms thatcould lead to their movement or stability. We then compare different lines of evidenceused to investigate hybrid zone dynamics and discuss the strengths and weaknesses ofeach approach. Our goal with this review is to reveal general conditions associated withthe stability or mobility of butterfly hybrid zones by synthesizing evidence obtained us-ing different types of data sampled across multiple regions and spatial scales. Finally, wediscuss spatiotemporal dynamics in the context of a speciation/divergence continuum, therelevance of hybrid zones for conservation biology, and recommend key topics for futureinvestigation.

Irrigation and nitrogen fertiliser optimisation in protected vegetable fields of northern China:Achieving environmental and agronomic sustainability

Globally,sub-optimal use of nitrogen (N) fertiliser and elevated N irrigation groundwater have led to high leached nitrate (NO_(3)^(–)) losses from protected vegetable field *** fertiliser and irrigation management in different soil types is crucial to reduce future N loads from such *** present 4-year study examined leached N loads from lysimeter monitoring arrays set up across 18 protected vegetable system sites encompassing the dominant soil types of northern *** treatments applied at each field site were:1) a high N and high irrigation input treatment (HNHI);2) a low N but high irrigation input treatment (lNHI) and 3) a low N with low irrigation input treatment (lNlI).Results showed that the mean annual leached total nitrogen loads from the HNHI,lNHI and lNlI treatments were 325,294 and 257 kg N ha^(–1) in the fluvo-aquic soil,114,100 and 78 kg N ha^(–1) in the cinnamon soil and 79,68 and 57 kg N ha^(–1) in the black soil,*** N dissolved in irrigation water in the fluvo-aquic soil areas was 8.26-fold higher than in the cinnamon areas.A structural equation model showed that N fertiliser inputs and leaching water amounts explained 14.7 and 81.8%of the variation of leached N loads,***,reducing irrigation water by 21.5%decreased leached N loads by 20.9%,while reducing manure N and chemical N inputs by 22 and 25%decreased leached N loads by only 9.5%. This study highlights that protected vegetable fields dominated by fluvo-aquic soil need management to curtail leached N losses in northern China.

Value of phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors as a combination therapy for treating erectile dysfunction:A literature review

Erectile dysfunction(ED)is increasing in prevalence,with estimates that 50%of men between 40 and 70 years of age suffer from the *** to a wide array of available medical interventions,significant focus has been put on combination therapies that can treat ED refractory to first-line treatments such as phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors(PDE5is).However,reviews evaluating monotherapy noninferiority and patient satisfaction of monotherapy versus combination therapy are lacking.A thorough PubMed search was performed to evaluate combination therapy in ED *** published between January 2008 and June 2023 were reviewed,including randomized control trials,retrospective analyses,and cohort *** therapies included PDE5i plus another PDE5i,testosterone supplementation,α-blockers,vacuum erectile devices,intracavernosal injections,and low-intensity shockwave *** on this review,PDE5i monotherapy is not inferior to combination therapy and has increased satisfaction,convenience,and ease of use for patients with *** of current literature on combination therapy include small sample size,limited data on patient satisfaction,possible biases,and limited follow-up *** studies will need larger randomized control trials with follow-up times greater than 1 year.

A Pooling Method Developed for Use in Convolutional Neural Networks

In convolutional neural networks,pooling methods are used to reduce both the size of the data and the number of parameters after the convolution of the *** methods reduce the computational amount of convolutional neural networks,making the neural network more *** pooling,average pooling,and minimum pooling methods are generally used in convolutional neural ***,these pooling methods are not suitable for all datasets used in neural network *** this study,a new pooling approach to the literature is proposed to increase the efficiency and success rates of convolutional neural *** method,which we call MAM(Maximum Average Minimum)pooling,is more interactive than other traditional maximum pooling,average pooling,and minimum pooling methods and reduces data loss by calculating the more appropriate pixel *** proposed MAM pooling method increases the performance of the neural network by calculating the optimal value during the training of convolutional neural *** determine the success accuracy of the proposed MAM pooling method and compare it with other traditional pooling methods,training was carried out on the leNet-5 model using CIFAR-10,CIFAR-100,and MNIST *** to the results obtained,the proposed MAM pooling method performed better than the maximum pooling,average pooling,and minimum pooling methods in all pool sizes on three different datasets.
