The complete and incomplete fusion cross sections for ^(6)li+^(209)Bi were measured using the in-beamγ-ray method around the coulomb *** cross sections of(deuteron captured)incomplete fusion(IcF)products were re-quantified experimentally for this reaction *** results reveal that the IcF cross section is equivalent to that of complete fusion(cF)above the coulomb barrier and dominant near or below the coulomb barrier.A theoretical calculation based on the continuum discretized coupled channel(cdcc)method was performed for the aforementioned cF and IcF cross sections;the result is consistent with the *** universal fusion function(UFF)was also compared with the measured cF cross section for different barrier parameters,demonstrating that the cF suppression factor is significantly influenced by the choice of potential,which can reflect both dynamic and static effects of breakup on the fusion process.

Gallstone(GS)disease is common and arises from a combination of genetic and environmental *** genetic abnormalities specifically leading to cholesterol GSs are rare,there are clinically significant gene variants associated with cholesterol *** contrast,most bilirubin GSs can be attributed to genetic *** pathogenesis of cholesterol and bilirubin GSs differs *** GSs are notably influenced by genetic variants within the ABc protein superfamily,including ABcG8,ABcG5,ABcB4,and ABcB11,as well as genes from the apolipoprotein family such as ApoB100 and ApoE(especially the E3/E3 and E3/E4 variants),and members of the MUc ***,bilirubin GSs are associated with genetic variants in highly expressed hepatic genes,notably UGT1A1,ABcc2(MRP2),ABcc3(MRP3),cFTR,and MUc,alongside genetic defects linked to hemolytic anemias and conditions impacting *** genetic cases constitute a small portion of GS disease,recognizing genetic predisposition is essential for proper diagnosis,treatment,and genetic counseling.

BAcKGROUnd Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease(MASld),characterised by hepatic lipid accumulation,causes inflammation and oxidative stress accompanied by cell damage and *** injury(lI)is also frequently reported in patients hospitalised with coronavirus disease 2019(cOVId-19),while preexisting MASld increases the risk of lI and the development of cOVId-19-associated *** of injury at the cellular level remain unclear,but it may be significant that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-coV-2)which causes cOVId-19,uses angiotensin-converting expression enzyme 2(AcE2),a key regulator of the‘anti-inflammatory’arm of the renin-angiotensin system,for viral attachment and host cell *** To determine if hepatic AcE2 levels are altered during progression of MASld and in patients who died with severe *** AcE2 protein levels and localisation,and histological fibrosis and lipid droplet accumulation as markers of MASld were determined in formalin-fixed liver tissue sections across the MASld pathological spectrum(isolated hepatocellular steatosis,metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis(MASh)+/-fibrosis,end-stage cirrhosis)and in post-mortem tissues from patients who had died with severe cOVId-19,using AcE2 immunohistochemistry and haematoxylin and eosin and picrosirius red staining of total collagen and lipid droplet areas,followed by quantification using machine learning-based image pixel *** AcE2 staining is primarily intracellular and concentrated in the cytoplasm of centrilobular hepatocytes and apical membranes of bile duct ***,AcE2 protein levels are elevated in non-fibrotic MASh compared to healthy controls but not in the progression to MASh with fibrosis and in ***2 protein levels and histological fibrosis are not associated,but AcE2 and liver lipid droplet content are significantly correlated across the MASld *** A

The joint European Space Agency and chinese Academy of Sciences Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere link Explorer(SMIlE)mission will explore global dynamics of the magnetosphere under varying solar wind and interplanetary magnetic field conditions,and simultaneously monitor the auroral response of the northern hemisphere *** these large-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety of cadences by additional ground-based and space-based instruments will enable a much greater scientific impact beyond the original goals of the SMIlE ***,we describe current community efforts to prepare for SMIlE,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly expressed support for SMIlE can offer.A dedicated group of international scientists representing many different experiment types and geographical locations,the Ground-based and Additional Science working Group,is facilitating these *** include constructing an online SMIlE data Fusion Facility,the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing strategies and spacecraft *** anticipate growing interest and community engagement with the SMIlE mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insights from the solar-terrestrial community.

In this paper,we propose a graph model embedded with compact physical equations for modeling the thermal dynamics of *** principles of heat flow across various components in the building,such as walls and doors,fit the message-passing strategy used by Graph neural networks(Gnns).The proposed method is to represent the multi-zone building as a graph,in which only zones are considered as nodes,and any heat flow between zones is modeled as an edge based on prior knowledge of the building ***,the thermal dynamics of these components are described by compact models in the *** are further employed to train model parameters from collected *** model training,our proposed method enforces physical constraints(e.g.,zone sizes and connections)on model parameters and propagates the penalty in the loss function of *** constraints are essential to ensure model robustness and *** evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed modeling approach on a realistic dataset with multiple *** results demonstrate a satisfactory accuracy in the prediction of multi-zone ***,we illustrate that the new model can reliably learn hidden physical parameters with incomplete data.

Tissue engineering(TE)continues to be widely explored as a potential solution to meet critical clinical needs for diseased tissue replacement and tissue *** this study,we developed a poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-methacrylic acid)(phEMA-co-MAA)based hydrogel loaded with newly synthesized conductive poly(3,4-ethylene-dioxythiophene)(PEdOT)and polypyrrole(PPy)nanoparticles(nPs),and subsequently processed these hydrogels into tissue engineered constructs via three-dimensional(3d)*** presence of the nPs was critical as they altered the rheological properties during ***,all samples exhibited suitable shear thinning properties,allowing for the development of an optimized processing window for 3d *** were 3d printed into pre-determined disk-shaped configurations of 2 and 10 mm in height and diameter,*** observed that the nPs disrupted the gel crosslinking efficiencies,leading to shorter degradation times and compressive mechanical properties ranging between 450 and 550 *** conductivity of the printed hydrogels increased along with the nP concentration to(5.10±0.37)×10^(−7)S/*** vitro studies with cortical astrocyte cell cultures demonstrated that exposure to the phEMA-co-MAA nP hydrogels yielded high cellular viability and proliferation ***,hydrogel antimicrobial studies with staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria revealed that the developed hydrogels affected bacterial *** together,these materials show promise for various TE strategies.

directed x-rays produced in the interaction of sub-picosecond laser pulses of moderate relativistic intensity with plasma of near-critical density are investigated. Synchrotron-like (betatron) radiation occurs in the process of direct laser acceleration (dlA) of electrons in a relativisticlaser channel when the electrons undergo transverse betatron oscillations in self-generated quasi-static electric and magnetic fields. In anexperiment at the PhElIX laser system, high-current directed beams of dlA electrons with a mean energy ten times higher than the ponderomotive potential and maximum energy up to 100 MeV were measured at 10^(19) w/cm^(2)laser intensity. The spectrum of directed x-raysin the range of 5–60 keV was evaluated using two sets of Ross filters placed at 0°and 10°to the laser pulse propagation axis. The differential x-ray absorption method allowed for absolute measurements of the angular-dependent photon fluence. we report 10^(13) photons/sr withenergies >5 keV measured at 0°to the laser axis and a brilliance of 10^(21) photons s^(−1) mm^(−2) mrad−2(0.1%Bw)−1. The angular distributionof the emission has an FwhM of 14°–16°. Thanks to the ultra-high photon fluence, point-like radiation source, and ultra-short emissiontime, dlA-based keV backlighters are promising for various applications in high-energy-density research with kilojoule petawatt-class laserfacilities.

diabetic kidney disease(dKd)is one of the complications of diabetes,affecting millions of people *** relentless progression of this condition can lead to kidney failure,requiring life-altering interventions such as dialysis or *** evidence suggests that immunologic and inflammatory elements play an important role in initiating and perpetuating the damage inflicted on renal tissues,exacerbating the decline in organ ***-like receptors(TlRs)are a family of receptors that play a role in the activation of the innate immune system by the recognition of pathogen-associated molecular *** data from in vitro and in vivo studies have highlighted the critical role of TlRs,mainly TlR2 and TlR4,in the pathogenesis of *** the diabetic milieu,these TlRs recognize diabetic-associated molecular signals,triggering a proinflammatory cascade that initiates and perpetuates inflammation and fibrogenesis in the diabetic *** non-traditional strategies targeting TlR signaling with potential therapeutic implications in dKd have been *** of these approaches is the use of microRnAs,small non-coding RnAs that can regulate gene *** editorial comments on the results of this approach carried out in a rat model of diabetes by wu et al,published in this issue of the world journal of *** results of the experimental study by wu et al shows that microRnA-630 decreased levels compared to non-diabetic ***,microRnA-630 exerted anti-inflammatory effects in the kidneys of diabetic rats through the modulation of *** findings indicate that the microRnA-630/TlR4 axis might represent a pathological mechanism of dKd and a potential therapeutic target capable of curbing the destructive inflammation characteristic of dKd.
