This study demonstrates the influence of the Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio in precursor solution on the crystal structural formation,morphology,physical properties,and photocatalytic performance of a Ag_(3)PO_(4)photocatalyst that is fabricated,using a facile precipitation method,from AgNO_(3)and Na2HPO_(4)·12H_(2)*** material characterizations were carried out using x-ray diffraction(XRd),scanning electron microscopy(SEm),energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy(EdX),Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET)surface area,Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)absorption,Raman scattering,x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),Uv-vis absorption,and photoluminescence(Pl).The results show that Ag_(3)PO_(4)crystallizes better when the excess PO_(4)^(3-)content increases,and the lattice parameters decrease slightly,while the crystal diameter and the particle size *** change is also observed in the Raman scattering and FTIR spectra with the increase in the vibration frequency of the[PO_(4)]*** compression of the[PO_(4)]unit was also confirmed in the XPS spectra with the shift of P 2p peaks toward higher binding *** photocatalytic results showed that the samples synthesized from excess PO_(4)^(3-)solution exhibited higher photocatalytic performance compared to the sample with a Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio of 3:1.A sample prepared from the precursor solution with a Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio of 3:1.5 was optimal for RhB decomposition under both visible light and natural sunlight,completely decomposing 10 ppm RhB after 15 minutes of xenon lamp irradiation and after 60 minutes under solar light *** is attributed to the high crystallinity,small particle size and low electron–hole recombination rate of the sample.

Alloy selection and alloy design both require consideration of an array of material attributes, including in-service properties, weldability and fabricability. Critical properties of advanced wrought superalloys for gas turbine applications include high temperature strength, thermal stability, oxidation resistance and fatigue resistance. In this paper, the properties of twelve wrought solid-solution-strengthened and six age-hardenable superalloys are compared. Weldability is an important attribute and can be a major limiting factor in the use of certain alloys. Weldability test methods are discussed and the resistance of alloys to solidification cracking and strain-age cracking is compared. The use of weldability testing in the development of modern wrought su-peralloys is discussed with several examples cited. Finally, alloy selection for gas turbine components is outlined, taking into account both alloy properties and fabricability.

A Two-dimensional Architecture for Fast large-Scale Trapped-Ion Quantum Computing

Building blocks of quantum computers have been demonstrated in small to intermediate-scale *** one of the leading platforms,the trapped ion system has attracted wide attention.A significant challenge in this system is to combine fast high-fidelity gates with scalability and convenience in ion trap *** we propose an architecture for large-scale quantum computing with a two-dimensional array of atomic ions trapped at such large distance which is convenient for ion-trap fabrication but usually believed to be unsuitable for quantum computing as the conventional gates would be too *** gate operations far outside of the lamb–dicke region,we show that fast and robust entangling gates can be realized in any large ion *** gate operations are intrinsically parallel and robust to thermal noise,which,together with their high speed and scalability of the proposed architecture,makes this approach an attractive one for large-scale quantum computing.

Plasma electrolytic oxidation of the magnesium alloy mA8 in electrolytes containing TiN nanoparticles

The formation of protective multifunctional coatings on magnesium alloy mA8 using plasma electrolyt- ic oxidation （PEO） in an electrolytic system containing nanosized particles of titanium nitride was investigated. Electrochemical and mechanical properties of the obtained layers were examined. It was established that microhardness of the coating with the nanoparticle concentration of 3 gl-1 increased twofold （4.2 ± 0.5 GPa）, while wear resistance decreased （4.97 × 10-6 mm3 N-1 m-1）, as compared to re- spective values for the PEO-coating formed in the electrolyte without nanoparticles （2.1 ± 0.3 GPa, 1.12 × 10.5 mm3 N-1 m-1）.

The benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of PA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(mSK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving mSK anatomy knowledge,PA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of mSK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in PA based interventions to supplement mSK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating PA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.

New approach to formation of coatings on mg-mn-Ce alloy using a combination of plasma treatment and spraying of fluoropolymers

This paper presents a method of the formation of composite polymer-containing coatings on a mg–mn–Ce magnesium alloy by forming a ceramic-like layer using plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)and subsequent spraying superdispersed polytetrafluoroethylene *** coating composition and their morphological features were studied by SEm,EdS,GdOES,and *** presented data confirm the embedding of fluoropolymer in the PEO *** evaluation of the corrosion properties of the formed composite polymer-containing coatings indicates a decrease in the corrosion current density by more than 3 orders of magnitude in comparison with the base PEO *** incorporation of a fluoropolymer in a PEO layer by more than 32%increases the load value at which abrasion of the coating to the substrate occurs and reduces the wear of the coating by more than 27 fold in comparison with the PEO *** has been established that composite coatings possess hydrophobic properties:the value of the contact angle attains 152°.

Experience gained in analyzing severe accidents for WWER RP using CC SOCRAT

The current Russian regulatory documents on the safety of nuclear power plant(NPP)specify the requirements regarding design basis accidents(dBAs)and beyond design basis accidents(BdBAs),including severe accidents(SAs)with core meltdown,in NPP design(NP-001-15,NP-082-07,and others).For a rigorous calculational justification of BdBAs and SAs,it is necessary to develop an integral CC that will be in line with the requirements of regulatory documents on verification and certification(Rd-03-33-2008,Rd-03-34-2000)and will allow for determining the amount of data required to provide information within the scope stipulated by the requirements for the structure of the safety analysis report(SAR)(NP-006-16).The system of codes for realistic analysis of severe accidents(SOCRAT)(formerly,thermohydraulics(RATEG)/coupled physical and chemical processes(SvECHA)/behavior of core materials relocated into the reactor lower plenum(HEFEST))was developed in Russia to analyze a wide range of SAs at NPP with water-cooled water-moderated power-generating reactor(WWER)at all stages of the *** to the code and broadening of its applicability are continually being pursued by the code developers(Nuclear Safety Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences(IBRAE RAN))with OKB Gidropress JSC and other ***,the SOCRAT/В1 code can be used as a base tool to obtain realistic estimates for all parameters important for computational justification of the reactor plant(RP)safety at the in-vessel stage of SAs with fuel *** perform analyses using CC SOCRAT/В1,the experience gained during execution of thermohydraulic codes is applied,which allows for minimizing the uncertainties in the results at the early stage of an accident *** study presents the results of the work performed in 2010–2020 in OKB Gidropress JSC using the CC SOCRAT/В*** have been considered to develop calculational models and analyze SAs using CC *** process,which is cle

The effect of dzyaloshinskii-moriya （d-m） interaction on the bistable nano-scale soliton switching offers the possiblity of developing a new innovative approach for data storage technology. The dynamics of Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin system is expressed in terms of generalized inhomogeneous higher order nonlinear Schr6dinger （NlS） equation. The bistable soliton switching in the ferromagnetic medium is established by solving the associated coupled evolution equations for amplitude and velocity of the soliton using the fourth order Runge-Kutta method numerically.

Effect of silica source on photocatalytic properties of Bi_(2)O_(3)/Bi_(2)SiO_(5) heterostructure

The Bi_(2)O_(3)/Bi_(2)SiO_(5) heterostructures were obtained with various samples of silica as a precursor:on the basis of biogenic silica isolated from rice husk and rice straw and the silica of mineral ori-gin.A mixture of Bi(NO_(3))_(3) and SiO_(2) with a mass content of 15%was used for synthesizing all the *** transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy,scanning electron microscope(SEm),X-ray phase,X-ray fluorescence,and ultraviolet-visible diffused reflectance spectroscopy(Uv-vis dRS)were used to systematically characterize as-obtained *** of methyl orange in neutral aqueous solutions(pH=6.8)under Uv irradiation was studied to evaluate their photocatalytic ***,bandgaps,the value of the zero charge point,and photo-catalytic activity of the samples depended on the characteristics of the original *** degree of methyl orange degradation reached the maximum values(81%−85%)for samples based on precipitated silica from rice husks,straw,and the minimum value(16%)for a composite with thermal silica from rice *** based on thermal silica from rice husks and reagents from mineral raw materials did not statistically differ from each other in the degree of methyl orange degradation(67%−74%).
