Reinforcement learning(Rl) has roots in dynamic programming and it is called adaptive/approximate dynamic programming(ADP) within the control community. This paper reviews recent developments in ADP along with Rl and its applications to various advanced control fields. First, the background of the development of ADP is described, emphasizing the significance of regulation and tracking control problems. Some effective offline and online algorithms for ADP/adaptive critic control are displayed, where the main results towards discrete-time systems and continuous-time systems are surveyed, ***, the research progress on adaptive critic control based on the event-triggered framework and under uncertain environment is discussed, respectively, where event-based design, robust stabilization, and game design are reviewed. Moreover, the extensions of ADP for addressing control problems under complex environment attract enormous attention. The ADP architecture is revisited under the perspective of data-driven and Rl frameworks,showing how they promote ADP formulation ***, several typical control applications with respect to Rl and ADP are summarized, particularly in the fields of wastewater treatment processes and power systems, followed by some general prospects for future research. Overall, the comprehensive survey on ADP and Rl for advanced control applications has d emonstrated its remarkable potential within the artificial intelligence era. In addition, it also plays a vital role in promoting environmental protection and industrial intelligence.

Plasma-activated water (PAW) indicated promising potential in controlling the biological contamination of Bacillus cereus， which eliminated its evolutionary endospore that improves its survival ability. However， the spore inactivation mechanism by PAW at molecular level was not well understood. The mechanism of the Bacillus cereus endospore against PAW at proteomic levels was demonstrated. The Tandem Mass Tag (TMT) labeling was performed. By comparing the treatment groups with control (including PAW and PAW added superoxide dismutase (SOD)) ， the expression of 251 proteins (with the number of 207 up- and 44 down-regulated) and 379 proteins (with the corresponding number of 238 and 141) were drastically affected， separately. The six categories based on the protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks included oxidation-reduction， transport， sporulation and DNA topological change， gene expression， metabolism， and others. The three dehydrogenases (Gene hisD， BC＿2176， and asd) in PAW while oxidoreductase (Gene BC＿0399 and BC＿2529) in SOD were activated to maintain the antioxidation of spores. The proteins (BC＿4271 and BC＿2655) in SOD were dramatically activated， which were involved in the carbohydrate， amino acid， and energy-coupling transport. All the small， acid-soluble spore proteins were activated in both groups to protect the spores’ DNA. In SOD， genes metG2 and rpmC also were considered important factors in translation while this role was played in gene groES but not rpmF in PAW. The PAW activated the biogenesis of cell wall/membrane/envelope and phosphorelay signal transduction system to contribute to the survival of spores whereas the SOD damaged these two processes as well as cell division， chromosome separation， organic acid phosphorylation， base- and nucleotide-excision repair to lead to the death of spores. This would promise to lay the foundation for advancing the study of the intrinsic mechanism of spore killing against PAW and can also provide a reference f

Biomolecular condensation, driven by multivalency, serves as a fundamental mechanism within cells, facilitating the formation of distinct compartments, including membraneless organelles that play essential roles in various cellular processes. Perturbations in the delicate equilibrium of condensation, whether resulting in gain or loss of phase separation, have robustly been associated with cellular dysfunction and physiological disorders. As ongoing research endeavors wholeheartedly embrace this newly acknowledged principle, a transformative shift is occurring in our comprehension of disease. Consequently, significant strides have been made in unraveling the profound relevance and potential causal connections between abnormal phase separation and various diseases. This comprehensive review presents compelling recent evidence that highlight the intricate associations between aberrant phase separation and neurodegenerative diseases, cancers, and infectious diseases. Additionally, we provide a succinct summary of current efforts and propose innovative solutions for the development of potential therapeutics to combat the pathological consequences attributed to aberrant phase separation.

The interaction between nozzle design and fluidization gas composition significantly influences the dynamics within a powder fuel scramjet's combustion *** investigate this relationship,an experimental study utilized high-speed shadow imaging technology to explore the macroscopic aspects of powder fuel *** investigation examined various convergence angles,nozzle throat lengths,and fluidized gas *** findings include:During jet development,powder fuel initially concentrates near the axis,with non-convergence angle nozzles exhibiting longer concentrated distribution periods than convergence angle *** nozzle convergence angles lead to increased penetration distance,frontal velocity,and radial diffusion distance during the initial stages of jet ***,stable jet shapes show larger divergence angles as nozzle convergence angle decreases,with the largest divergence angle observed atα=60°.In the initial 0-7 ms of jet development,the powder fuel jet demonstrates greater penetration distance and frontal velocity under certain ***,penetration distance and frontal velocity increase with throat length from 7 to 20 ms,accompanied by changes in divergence ***,at a throat length(l)of 2 mm,the near-field divergence angle measures 46.50°,and the far-field divergence angle is 22.25°.Conversely,at l=8mm,the near-field divergence angle is 33.49°,and the far-field divergence angle is 23.21°.The fluidization gas composition minimally affects jet penetration distance and frontal velocity during the initial 0-3 ***,due to hydrogen's low density,hydrogen/powder fuel jets exhibit shorter distances and velocities compared to nitrogen/powder fuel *** fluidization also results in larger divergence angles,particularly in the near *** findings underscore the importance of nozzle design and fluidization gas composition in optimizing scramjet performance and efficiency.

Gamma titanium-aluminum(γ-TiAl)intermetallic compounds are increasingly used in manufacturing key hot-end components(e.g.,blade tenon)in aero engines due to their high specific strength and lightweight *** feed profile grinding(CFPG)as a crucial precision process that is applied to produce the final profile of the blade ***,sudden surface burns and microcracks of machined c-TiAl blade tenon often occur because of its low plasticity and high strength during grinding processes,leading to poor surface *** this work,CFPG experiments based on the profile characteristics ofγ-TiAl blade tenon were performed and an associated undeformed chip thickness model considering grain–workpiece contact condition was established to explore the evolution of the surface ***,the surface integrity was analyzed at different positions of the blade tenon in terms of surface roughness and morphology,metallographic structure,microhardness,and residual *** show that the profile characteristics of blade tenon have a significant influence on machined surface integrity because of the thermomechanical effect at various detecting *** residual stress was established based on the undeformed chip thickness model considering the profile structure,with a prediction error of 10%–15%.The thermomechanical effect is more obvious at the bottom area,where the surface roughness,work hardening degree,and subsurface plastic deformation range are the largest,while the values at the bevel area are the *** on the undeformed chip thickness model,a residual stress finite element simulation was conducted by employing thermomechanical coupled *** addition,the error between the simulation and the experiment was between 10%–15%.Strain and strain rate equations were established through the relationship between material displacement and *** average strain and strain rate of the ground surface when ap is 1.0 mm are 18.8%and 33.2%l

The similar densities of dark matter and baryons in the universe imply that they may arise from the same ultraviolet model.B-Mesogenesis,which assumes dark matter is charged under the baryon number,attempts to simultaneously explain the origin of baryon asymmetry and dark matter in the *** particular,B-Mesogenesis may induce bottom-baryon decays into invisible or semi-invisible final states,which provide a distinctive signal for probing this *** this work,we systematically study the invisible decays of bottom baryons into dark matter and the semi-invisible decays of bottom baryons into a meson or a photon together with a dark matter *** particular,the fully invisible decay can reveal the stable particles in *** QCD-based frameworks are used to calculate the hadronic matrix elements under the B-Mesogenesis *** estimate the constraints on the Wilson coefficients or the product of some new physics couplings with the Wilson coefficients according to the semi-invisible and invisible decays of bottom baryons detectable at future colliders.

Herein,we unveil the intelligent detection of multiple catechol isomers in complex environments utilizing both laser-induced graphene(lIG)and artificial neural network(ANN).The large scale-up manufacturing of lIG-based sensors(lIGS)with three-electrode configuration on polyimide(PI)is achieved by direct laser-writing and screen-printing *** lIGS shows excellent electrochemical performance toward catechol isomers,i.e.,hydroquinone(1,4-dihydroxybenzene,HQ),catechol(1,2-dihydroxybenzene,CT),and resorcinol(1,3-dihydroxybenzene,RC),with a low limit of detection(lOD)(CC,0.079μmol/l;HQ,0.093μmol/l;RC,1.18μmol/l).Moreover,the ANN model is developed for machine-intelligent to predict concentrations of catechol isomers under an interfering environment via a single *** six unique parameters extracted from the differential pulse voltammetry(DPV)response,the machine learning-based regression provides a coefficient of correlation with 0.998 and is able to correctly predict the total and individual concentrations in complex river ***,this work provides a guide for the preparation and application of lIGS via facile and cost-efficient mass production and the development of an intelligent sensing platform based on the ANN model.

Spark erosion is a convenient,flexible,and low-cost method to quickly produce fine powders of metals,alloys,and semiconductors in size ranging from nearly a hundred micrometers to submicrometer by repetitive spark *** to the complexity of the powder-forming journey,normally accompanied by high temperature,high pressure,decomposition,diffusion and rapid quenching caused by discharge plasma,the mechanisms of powder formation and possible contaminant infiltration are still controversial,posing a significant challenge to control particle size and chemical composition of the powder produced by this *** this study,Fe-based amorphous powders in different particle-size distributions with high sphericity were fabricated by spark erosion under different discharge-energy *** max-imum particle size of the resultant powders can be correlated with discharge parameters,crater depth,and crater radius,respectively.A multi-ring-breakup model is proposed to reveal the particle-size distribution of the powder formed from the electrode melt under a single-pulse ***,a dielectric-element infiltration model is provided to quantitatively evaluate the infiltration mass ratio of the contaminant elements,stemming from the decomposed products of dielectric liquid,in the resultant powder with different particle *** models verified through the experimental data are significant for the development of high-performance fine Fe-based amorphous powder with controlled particle size and chemical composition.
