The prediction of the multiscale flow in the Knudsen pump is important for understanding its pumping ***,there is little research on such interesting multiscale phenomenon in the Knudsen *** this paper,a novel numerical analysis method combining the direct simulation Monte Carlo（DSMC） method with the smoothed particle hydrodynamics（SPH） method is presented for simulating the multiscale flow,which is often encountered in the application of the Knudsen *** and accuracy of the new method are given by comparing its results with that of the previous *** the coupled multiscale approach,the rarefaction and the temperature drive are studied,which are two main factors on the performance of the Knudsen *** investigate the effect of rarefaction on the performance of the Knudsen pump,various pump operation pressures are *** flow characteristics and pumping ability at different rarefaction are analyzed,and the phenomenon of the multiscale flow is also *** cases with different linear or nonlinear temperature gradients are set to investigate the effect of temperature gradient on the performance of the Knudsen *** flow characteristics of the Knudsen pump such as the velocity,pressure increase,and the mass flowrate are presented.A unique phenomenon,the reverse transpiration effect caused by the nonlinear temperature gradient is studied,and the reason of the significant pressure increase in the pump channel is also *** the multiscale gas flow is widely encountered in the microflow systems,the above method and its results can also be greatly beneficial and provide significant insights for the design of the MEMS devices.

随着社会经济和汽车工业的蓬勃发展，电力系统外绝缘污秽成分逐渐趋于多样性，不同污秽对硅橡胶复合绝缘子污闪特性的影响不同，现有研究大多未对这一因素加以考虑。该文试验研究了硅橡胶绝缘子在NaCl、CaSO4、MgSO4、KNO3、NaNO3、NHNO3、Mg（NO3）2、Ca（NO3）28种常见单一可溶污秽成分下的污闪特性，试验中，采用浸污法对试品进行染污，恒压升降法获取绝缘子闪络电压；根据试验结果，对可溶污秽成分对绝缘子污闪特性的影响机理进行了分析，并对其影响规律进行了探究。结果表明：硅橡胶复合绝缘子在不同可溶污秽成分下对应的污闪特性有所差异，但均可用负幂函数表征污闪梯度与等值盐密（equivalent saltdeposit density, ESDD）的关系；相同ESDD下，NaCl对应较低的污闪电压梯度，而CaSO4对应较高的污闪梯度，硝酸盐的n值介于0．178～0．238之间：各可溶污秽成分阴离子对应的污闪梯度规律为CI-〈N03-〈SO42-；对于硝酸盐而言，其阳离子对应的污闪梯度大小为K＋〈Na＋、NH4＋〈Ca2＋；在单一易溶污秽染污情况下，硅橡胶复合绝缘子污闪梯度特征参数6c与n之间满足线性负相关关系，即a可用n的线性函数进行表示，这可为工程设计减少试验次数，节约设计成本。

In recent years,the pharmacological benefits of herbal extracts have been revisited for their potential neuroprotective effects in *** polysaccharides extracted from the fruits of lycium barbarum l.,or lycium barbarum polysaccharides,exert their anti-aging effect through reducing oxidative stress,modulating the immune response,enhancing neuronal responses,and promoting *** therapeutic efficacy of lycium barbarum polysaccharides in preserving retinal ganglion cells and their functions was demonstrated in a range of experimental models of optic *** include the acute and chronic ocular hypertension models,the partial optic nerve transection model,and the ischemic-reperfusion injuries *** on these findings,lycium barbarum polysaccharides appear to be a good candidate to be developed as a neuroprotective agent for treating multifactorial *** review aims to present a comprehensive review on the latest preclinical evidence on the pre-and post-treatment benefits of lycium barbarum polysaccharides in retinal ganglion cell *** possible mechanisms of lycium barbarum polysaccharides mediating retinal ganglion cell neuroprotection will also be ***,the potential research gaps in the effective translation of lycium barbarum polysaccharides treatment into clinical glaucoma management will be discussed.

A Preliminary Study of C-reactive Protein in the Diagnosis and Monitoring of lyme Disease

Concentrations of C-reactive protein (CRP) in the serum of 14 patients suffering from lyme diseasc were measured. 86% of these patients were found to have abnormally high concentrations of serum CRP (range 14-158 mg/l). The CRP concentration of a 60-yearold patient abated from 29 mg/l to 13 mg/l after treatrnent. Results suggest that serum CRP concentration can provide a valuable and accurate means for the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of lyme disease

Mechanistic target of rapamycin （mTOR） complex 1 （mTORC1） integrates signals from growth factors, cel- lular energy levels, stress and amino acids to control cell growth and proliferation through regulating trans- lation, autophagy and metabolism. Here we determined the cryo-electron microscopy structure of human mTORC1 at 4.4 A resolution. The mTORCI comprises a dimer of heterotrimer （mTOR-Raptor-mlST8） mediated by the mTOR protein. The complex adopts a hollow rhomboid shape with 2-fold symmetry. Notably, mTORC1 shows intrinsic conformational dynamics. Within the complex, the conserved N-terminal caspase- like domain of Raptor faces toward the catalytic cavity of the kinase domain of mTOR. Raptor shows no caspase activity and therefore may bind to TOS motif for sub- strate recognition. Structural analysis indicates that FKBP12-Rapamycin may generate steric hindrance forsubstrate entry to the catalytic cavity of mTORCI. The structure provides a basis to understand the assembly of mTORC1 and a framework to characterize the regu- latory mechanism of mTORC1 pathway.

MElD score and AST-to-platelet ratio index predict long-term survival in patients with a small hepatocellular carcinoma following non-transplant therapies: a pilot study

Aim: liver transplantation (lT) is the most effective treatment for long-term survival from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC);however, insufficient donors limit therapy. The authors sought to identify characteristics that predicted long-term survival after non-transplant therapies in patients with small HCC. Methods: In a database of 1,050 HCC patients, the authors identified those with single HCC ≤ 3.0 cm, who underwent hepatic resection (HR, n= 16), radiofrequency ablation (RFA, n = 55), or lT (n = 23) with 5-year follow-up. Overall survival (OS) and odds-ratios (OR) for survival after HR/RFAwere calculated for MElD score, platelet count, creatinine, albumin, AST/platelet ratio index (APRI), international normalized ratio, and bilirubin. Results: lT patients had 3- and 5-year OS of 82.6% and 73.9% compared to HR/RFA patients with 3- and 5-year OS of 40.8% and 33.8%. The strongest predictors of survival after HR/RFA were MElD l (CI) 1.85-10.58] and APRI ≤ 0.5 (OR 4.25, 95% CI 1.63-11.08). HR/RFA patients with both MElD lusion: Patients with MElDl approaching lT. Perhaps patients who meet these criteria can safely undergo non-transplant therapy and donor livers can be allocated to patients with a greater need.

Effects of absorbing media on relative optical interference intensity ROII technique

The optical interference intensity ROll technique, which enables measurements of filmthickness of magnitude below half of the wavelength of the incident light, is widely used in thestudy of thin film lubrication (TFl). However, the absorbing characteristics of the metallic compo-nents which are for generating suitable amount of reflectance to facilitate optimum inference im-ages has never been taken into consideration. This paper presents a theoretical analysis of theabsorbing characteristics. Results indicate that without acknowledging the absorbing effects, sig-nificant errors in film thickness measurements can be induced.
