Metho.o.0}gy: This was a cro.s sectio.al.study co.ducted at Mil. 4 missio.ary Ho.pital. Abakal.ki, between 1st o. May and 1st o. Jul., 2017. Data was co.0}ected with the use o. questio.naire. Ethical.cl.arance was go.ten fro. the institutio.s ethical.co.mittee. Resul.s: Their mean age was 27 ± 5 years and mean parity was 2 ± 2. Awareness o. vesico.aginal.fistul. was 57.8%. Risk facto.s identified fo. vesico.aginal.fistul. were pro.0}nged o.structed l.bo.r, instrumental.vaginal.del.very, caesarean sectio. and sho.t stature. o.l. 80 (39.2%) bel.eved vesico.aginal.fistul. co.l. be treated. Co.cl.sio.: Awareness o. vesico.aginal.fistul. in the study po.ul.tio. was 57.8%. A significant number o. wo.en were no. aware that vesico.aginal.fistul. co.l. be treated.

Wo.en in o.r setting usual.y see it as a repro.uctive fail.re and a sign o. weakness. o.r aim was to.eval.ate the perceptio. o. caesarean sectio. amo.g pregnant wo.en attending antenatal.cl.nic in a rural.missio.ary ho.pital. Metho.o.0}gy: This was a cro.s-sectio.al.study co.ducted at Mil. 4 missio.ary ho.pital. Abakal.ki amo.g wo.en attending ro.tine antenatal.cl.nic. Info.matio. was o.tained fro. respo.dents with the aid o. a questio.naire. Ethical.cl.arance was o.tained fo. the study. Data was anal.sed using the Statistical.Package fo. So.ial.Sciences (SPSS) versio. 21. Resul.s: A to.al.o. 209 pregnant wo.en participated in this study. Their age ranged fro. 14 to.43 with a mean age o. 27 ± 5 years. o.e hundred and seventy two.wo.en (82.3%) have heard o. caesarean sectio. in the past. Eighteen (8.6%) have had caesarean sectio. in the past whil. 5 were no. wil.ing to.undergo.the pro.edure again. Sixty (28.7%) are no. wil.ing to.undergo.caesarean sectio. even when it is indicated. Co.cl.sio.: Despite awareness o. caesarean sectio., wo.en do.no. appear to.have a po.itive attitude to.ards the pro.edure.
