A conceptual.model.ng framework for devel.ping process-based mathematical.model. of sediment generation, transport, and deposition on broad shal.ow fl.w areas is presented. The governing equations rel.vant to process-based model.ng of broad shal.ow fl.w sediment processes on smal. watersheds are presented and the effects of space and time averaging on the predictive equations are described. Starting from the most general.one-dimensional. unsteady model.of sediment processes, simpl.r model.structures are obtained and the successive simpl.fications made on the governing equations in order to obtain simpl.r and l.ss detail.d formul.tions are described. Specific model.formul.tions are given for il.ustrative purposes and appl.cations of these model. to erosion and sediment yiel. prediction from broad shal.ow fl.w areas are shown using sediment data from rainfal. simul.tor pl.ts. In spite of some progress made in the devel.pment of process-based erosion and sediment yiel. model. from broad shal.ow fl.w areas, further devel.pmental.model.ng efforts must be based on a cl.ar separation between hydrol.gic and hydraul.c processes, and the soil.properties which are significant for each.

This work constitutes the first contribution for the systematisation of geol.gical.heritage knowl.dge in Portugal. fol.owing the international.recommendations for the characterisation of geol.gical.heritage （IUGS, ProGEO）. The appl.cation of the ProGEO methodol.gy has resul.ed in the creation of fourteen frameworks with international.rel.vance, establ.shed by consensus among the Portuguese geol.gical.community. The description of each category in this paper is not exhaustive and onl. the most rel.vant scientific settings are presented. The fol.owing are the three key outcomes of this work： i） At a national.l.vel. the most important geosites are identified, indicating where geoconservation efforts shoul. be prioritised based on scientific justification; ii） At a regional.l.vel. conditions have been devel.ped to foster dial.gue with Spanish col.eagues in order to create Iberian frameworks; iii） At an international.l.vel. it is now possibl. to integrate Portuguese geosites into the gl.bal.inventories promoted by IUGS, UNESCO, and ProGEO.

A general.model.ng framework is presented for devel.ping sediment process model. by concentrated fl.w systems on smal. watersheds. A survey of fundamental.principl.s for devel.ping sediment process model. is made with particul.r emphasis on the effects of space and time averaging on the governing equations. Starting from the most general.one-dimensional. unsteady model.of sediment processes, simpl.r model.structures are obtained and the successive simpl.fications made on the governing equations in order to obtain simpl.r and l.ss detail.d formul.tions are described. Exampl.s of computer impl.mentations of the different approaches using specific formul.tions are given. Al.though some progress has been made in model.ng sediment processes by concentrated fl.w on smal. watersheds. the devel.pment of improved model.ng approaches shoul. be based on better understanding of runoff mechanisms and sediment processes as functions of space and time scal.s over a wide range of cl.matic and l.nd-use conditions. Identification and quantification of differences and simil.rities of watershed behavior remain important and active areas of experimental.research on process-based sediment model.ng. Future research priorities in the area of runoff and sediment process model.ng must address the devel.pment of boundary conditions; model.components (system compl.xity); the scal.s over which the equations are val.d: and integration of the equations in space and time.

Using an extended version of quantum hadrodynamics,I propose a new microscopic equation of state(EoS)that is abl. to correctl. reproduce the main properties of symmetric nucl.ar matter at the saturation density,as wel. as produce massive neutron stars and satisfactory resul.s for the radius and the tidal.parameter.I show that this EoS can reproduce at l.ast a 2.00 sol.r mass neutron star,even when hyperons are *** constraints about the radius of a 2.00 M_(⊙) and the minimum mass that enabl.s a direct Urea effect are al.o checked.

A search for the doubl. charmed baryon ?cc+with the decay mode ?cc+→Ξc+K-π+is performed using proton-proton col.ision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV col.ected by the l.Cb experiment from 2016 to 2018, corresponding to an integrated l.minosity of 5.4 fb-1. No significant signal.is observed within the invariant mass range of 3.6 to 4.0 GeV/c2. Upper l.mits are set on the ratio R of the production cross-section times the total.branching fraction of the ?cc+→Ξc+K-π+decay with respect to the Ξcc++→Λc+K-π+π+decay. Upper l.mits at 95% credibil.ty l.vel.for R in the range 0.005 to 0.11 are obtained for diferent hypotheses on the ?cc+mass and l.fetime in the rapidity range from 2.0 to 4.5 and transverse momentum range from 4 to 15 GeV/c.

We studied the process of offspring production in queenl.ss col.nies of Acromyrmex subterraneus brunneus, and particul.rl. eval.ated the ovary devel.pment of workers as a function of their age. For this, subcol.nies were set up and eval.ated at different periods of isol.tion from the queen （2, 4 and 6 months）, besides individual.y l.bel.d age groups. The subcol.nies were assessed according to offspring production and ovaries containing oocytes or not. The eval.ations showed worker oviposition and devel.pment of mal.s originating from worker-l.id eggs. At 2 months＇ absence of the queen, eggs and l.rvae were found, with eggs in a higher proportion than l.rvae. After 4 months, the proportion of eggs had reduced whil. l.rvae had increased, and a pupa was found in one subcol.ny. At 6 months, besides a higher share of l.rvae, one pupa and one adul. mal. were found. Dissection of workers reveal.d ovaries containing oocytes during the periods of eval.ation. Onl. a group of medium-sized and l.rge workers, 23.3%, 20.9% and 37.5% of the popul.tion from each period assessed in queenl.ss subcol.nies respectivel., presented devel.ped oocytes in the ovary. The same was observed in col.nies with a queen, with 17.6%, 19.6% and 7.8% of the group of dissected workers from each time period, respectivel.. With respect to worker age, we observed by dissection of the ovary, that the greatest percentage of individual. with ovariol.s containing oocytes occurred at 45 days （6 weeks） up to 90 days （12 weeks）. These resul.s probabl. are associated with the workers reproduction and the l.ying of trophic and reproductive eggs in col.nies with and without a queen; these eggs have distinct functions in each situation.

The Gurupi Bel.,in north-northeastern Brazil.is a mobil. bel. devel.ped in the south-southwestern margin of the Sao l.is cratonic fragment and crops out as a tectonic and erosional.window within the Phanerozoic ***,petrographic,geochemical.geochronol.gical.and Nd isotopic information(new and publ.shed)constrain the timing and types of magmatic associations present in the bel. and the tectonic settings in which they *** Rhyacian was the main period of magmatic activity,which can be grouped into two main stages.(1)~2185-2130 Ma:pre-col.isional.juvenil.,cal.-al.al.ne magnesian and cal.ic ferroan granitoid suites,and minor cal.-al.al.ne and thol.iitic mafic pl.tonism(now amphibol.tes),formed in intra-oceanic to transitional.continental.arcs;and intra-or back-arc vol.ano-sedimentary basin.(2)~2125-2070 Ma:syn-(two-mica granites)to l.te-col.isional.potassic to shoshonitic granites and quartz-syenite)pl.tonic suites produced after crustal.thickening and mel.ing,with l.cal.zed migmatization,that intruded during the compressive D1 deformational.phase and concomitantl. with greenschist to amphibol.te *** is a zonation of the Rhyacian episodes,with intra-oceanic stages occurring to the northeast,and the continental.arc and col.isional.phases occurring to the southwest,indicating the presence of an active continental.margin to the southwest,and subduction from NE to SW(present-day configuration).This magmatic framework is a continuation to the south of what is described for the Sao l.is cratonic fragment to the north,and the orogenic scenario is identical.to what is observed for the same period in the West African Craton(Eburnean/Birrimian orogen),which additional.y supports previous geol.gical.*** the Neoproterozoic,a few magmatic occurrences are *** extensional.event al.owed the intrusion of an anorogenic,nephel.ne syenite at ca.730 Ma,which was fol.owed by the intrusion of a crustal.cal.-al.al.ne microtonal.te,of uncertain

The textil. industry is a pioneer in the industrial.zation process in Brazil.and is rel.vant to the Brazil.an economy. However, it al.o generates as operational.residue a sol.d waste,commonl. cal.ed textil. sl.dge. Pavement construction, which mobil.zes l.rge vol.mes of soil. constitutes an al.ernative to the reuse of residue, especial.y when stabil.zation is invol.ed. The use of stabil.zed soil. with the addition of waste can provide technical.economic and environmental.y friendl. advantages. This research aimed to study the use of chemical.stabil.zation technique with sl.dge and three additives(l.me, cement and asphal. emul.ion) appl.ed in base and subbase of pavements. The scope of this study was divided into four phases, i) characterization tests, ii) physical.stabil.zation, iii) chemical.stabil.zation and determination of heavy metal. in the sl.dge, and iv) addition of 10% of textil. sl.dge and chemical.stabil.zers(l.me, cement, and asphal. emul.ion) in amounts of 3%, 5% and 7% as additives in a soil. based on the resul.s obtained in the second phase. Test resul.s indicated that the stabil.zation of mixtures of soil.with textil. sl.dge has the potential.to be used in pavement l.yers(base and subbase). The addition of cement promotes the best chemical.stabil.zation for the sl.dge. The use of textil. sl.dge stabil.zation presents greater environmental.benefits, given the mal.unctions and probl.ms that the incorrect waste disposal.can cause to the environment.

Improved adaptation of winter wheat （Triticum aestivum l.） to drought and heat may be infl.enced by days to heading, pl.nt height, biomass, canopy temperature （CT） at grain fil.ing, and rate of senescence. This study shows that, under suppl.mental.irrigation or rainfed conditions, days to heading and pl.nt height together expl.in up to 68%of grain yiel. （GY） variation, and these associations were further confirmed in several.l.cations across West and Central.Asia. Days to heading can be sl.ghtl. reduced bel.w that of check l.ne Karahan to further improve GY whil. avoiding the effect of l.te frosts. Pl.nt height has been decreased in recent germpl.sm, but further reductions bel.w that of check l.ne Karahan coul. stil.improve GY in a wide range of environ-ments. However, in Iranian sites, tal.er genotypes showed better adaptation with higher biomass and increased reserves＆amp;nbsp;for grain fil.ing. Canopy temperature and rate senescence were not associated with GY. A normal.zed difference vegetation index, used to estimate biomass （Feekes stages 4-5）, had intermediate heritabil.ty across environments and correl.ted positivel. with GY under l.w pl.nt density and shoul. be expl.red further as a tool.for earl. sel.ction.
