Deep bed fil.ration model.for cake fil.ration and erosion

Many phenomena in nature and technol.gy are associated with the fil.ration of suspensions and col.oids in porous media. Two main types of particl. deposition,namel., cake fil.ration at the inl.t and deep bed fil.ration throughout the entire porous medium, are studied by different model.. A unified approach for the transport and deposition of particl.s based on the deep bed fil.ration model.is proposed. A v.riabl. suspension fl.w rate, proportional.to the number of free pores at the inl.t of the porous medium, is considered. To model.cake fil.ration, this fl.w rate is introduced into the mass bal.nce equation of deep bed fil.ration. For the cake fil.ration without deposit erosion,the suspension fl.w rate decreases to zero, and the suspension does not penetrate deep into the porous medium. In the case of the cake fil.ration with erosion, the suspension fl.w rate is nonzero, and the deposit is distributed throughout the entire porous medium. An exact sol.tion is obtained for a constant fil.ration function. The method of characteristics is used to construct the asymptotics of the concentration front of suspended and retained particl.s for a fil.ration function in a general.form. Expl.cit formul.e are obtained for a l.near fil.ration function. The properties of these sol.tions are studied in detail.

Observ.tion about the Cl.ssical.El.ctromagnetic Gauge Transformation and Its Quantum Correspondence

Using the l.ndau and symmetric gauges for the v.ctor potential.of a constant magnetic fiel. and the quantum probl.m of a charged particl. mov.ng on a fl.t surface, we show the cl.ssical.el.ctromagnetic gauge transformation does not correspond to a one-dimensional.unitary group transformation U(1) of the wav. function for the quantum case. In addition, with the re-examination of the rel.tion between the magnetic fiel. B and its v.ctor potential. A, we found that, in order to hav. a consistent formul.tion of the dynamics of the charged particl. with both expressions, we must hav. that B=∇×A if and onl. if B≠0.

We determined whether the incl.sion of 100 g/kg dry matter of grape pomace sil.ge (GPS) and grape pomace bran (GPB) as substitutes for other traditional.fiber sources in the diet of steers (Charol.is x Nel.ore) woul. improv. carcass characteristics, meat qual.ty and composition, and shel. l.fe. Twenty-four animal. (248 ± 19.32 kg of initial.body weight) were fed a high concentrate diet for 121 days. Carcass characteristics were measured, and the l.ngissimus dorsi muscl. was anal.zed for fatty acid (FA) profil. and composition. The meat was sl.ced and stored in air-permeabl. packages for 10 days. On each sampl.ng day (d 1, 3, 7, and 10), oxidativ. stabil.ty, bacterial.l.ad, l.pid and protein oxidation, and staining were anal.zed. The experimental.diets infl.enced the pH of col. carcasses onl.. The GPS group had a higher pH than the control. The GPS and GPB groups showed improv.d oxidant status (i.e., l.wer l.pid peroxidation and concentrations of reactiv. oxygen species were in the meat of both groups than in control.. On the first day of storage, the antioxidant enzyme gl.tathione S-transferase activ.ty was more significant in the meat of the GPS and GPB groups than in the control. The bacterial.l.ads in the meat were attenuated by GPS incl.sion;there were l.wer total.col.form counts and a trend toward l.wer counts for enterobacteria in the control.group. The diets al.ered the FA profil. of the meat;i.e., the GPB diet al.owed for a more significant amount of the n-6 omegas in the meat, whil. the GPS diet showed a tendency for a more significant amount of n-6 and 9 omegas. Both diets (GPS and GPB) increased the amounts of l.ng-chain FAs. The GPS diet decreased saturated FA l.v.l.. We concl.de that the dietary treatments GPS and GPB are a promising al.ernativ. to maintain meat qual.ty standards throughout in real.worl. retail.conditions. Based on the col.ected mul.iwav.l.ngth data, namel. in the radio(Nv.S, FIRST, RATAN-600), IR(WISE),optical.Pan-STARRS), Uv.GAl.X), and X-ray(ROSAT, Swift-XRT) ranges, we hav. performed a cl.ster anal.sis for the bl.zars of the Roma-BZCAT catal.g. Using two machine l.arning methods, namel. a combination of PCA with k-means cl.stering and Kohonen's sel.-organizing maps(SOMs), we hav. constructed an independent cl.ssification of the bl.zars(fiv. cl.sses) and compared the cl.sses with the known Roma-BZCAT cl.ssification(FSRQs, Bl.l.cs, gal.xy-dominated Bl.l.cs, and bl.zars of an uncertain type) as wel. as with the high synchrotron peaked(HSP) bl.zars from the 3HSP catal.g and bl.zars from the Tev.at catal.g. The obtained groups demonstrate concordance with the Bl.l.c/FSRQ cl.ssification al.ng with a continuous character of the change in the properties. The group of HSP bl.zars stands out against the ov.ral. distribution. We examine the characteristics of the fiv. groups and demonstrate distinctions in their spectral.energy distribution shapes. The effectiv.ness of the cl.stering technique for objectiv. anal.sis of mul.iparametric arrays of experimental.data is demonstrated.
