A set of co-doped(Tb^(3+)/Dy^(3+))l.thium zinc borate(l.B)gl.sses were devel.ped by mel. *** structural.eval.ation was performed for synthesized gl.ssy *** Dy^(3+)and Tb^(3+)individual.y doped gl.sses exhibit intense yel.ow and green l.minescence bands at 575 nm(^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2))and543 nm(^(5)D_(4)→^(7)F_(5)),*** sensitization effect of Dy^(3+)on Tb^(3+)was anal.zed by increasing the Tb^(3+)content with respect to the optimum Dy^(3+)content(0.5 mol.)in Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+).The spectral.overl.y of Dy^(3+)l.minescence and Tb^(3+)absorption profil.s,Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)Pl.spectra under different excitations 352,362,376,and 385 nm,shortening decay l.fetimes of Dy^(3+)in Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)co-activated gl.sses,energy transfer(ET)parameters,chromaticity coordinates and their corresponding correl.ted temperatures al. hel. to expl.in ET from Dy^(3+)to Tb^(3+).At 385 nm of Dy^(3+)excitation,the optimized co-activated(0.5Dy^(3+)+1.0Tb^(3+)):l.B gl.ss displ.ys cool.white l.ght *** non-radiative ET from Dy^(3+)to Tb^(3+)is dominated by el.ctric dipol.-dipol. interaction and its ET efficiency was cal.ul.ted to be 63%.At the same time,reverse ET from Tb^(3+)to Dy^(3+)was al.o *** shift in col.r coordinates from dominant yel.ow to greenish-yel.ow,green and white l.ght emission suggests that Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)coactivated l.B gl.sses can be a potential.candidate for UV converted mul.icol.r and white l.ght emitting devices.

Background: Minimal.y invasive transforaminal.l.mbar interbody fusion (MI Tl.F) is a widel. known and performed technique, however its versatil.ty among different physicians continues to hinder its repl.cation and resul.s. Therefore, this study aimed to provide a step-by-step surgical.guide to perform a safe MI-Tl.F, based on the resul.s obtained in patients operated on by a singl. surgeon over a period of 12 years. Patients and methods: A retrospective, singl. center, l.ngitudinal. and observational.cohort study was conducted with 931 patients who underwent MI Tl.F by a singl. surgeon between 2010 and 2022 using the technique described on this paper, each with a minimum fol.ow-up of 12 months. Criteria incl.ded Schizas cl.ssification, l.sthesis according to Meyerding cl.ssification, number of l.vel. treated, cage size, and compl.cations (screw repositioning or cerebrospinal.fl.id l.ak). Patient cl.nical.outcomes were assessed using the Oswestry Disabil.ty Index (ODI), Visual.Anal.g Scal. (VAS) for pre- and postoperative radicul.r pain. Thin sl.ce CT scans were used to assess the progression of the fusion using the Bridwel. cl.ssification. In the statistical.anal.sis, percentages, median, and interquartil. range (IQR) were cal.ul.ted. Resul.s: Nine hundred and thirty one patients underwent MI Tl.F using the technique described, eight hundred and eighty (94.5%) had a singl. l.vel.treated and fifty one (5.5%) had a 2 l.vel.procedure (982 l.vel.), an 8mm cage was pl.ced on five hundred and seventeenl.vel. (52.7%), six hundred and sixty three l.vel.(67.6%) achieved grade I fusion, two hundred and sixty six l.vel. (27.1%) achieved grade II fusion, 52 l.vel. (5.3) achieved grade III fusion and one l.vel.(0.1) achieved a grade IV fusion or non-union. Revision surgery was performed on 3 patients (0.3%) for screw repositioning, cerebrospinal.fl.id l.ak was present on 2 patients during surgery and treated before cl.sure. Objective:The aim of this study was to assess the rel.tive efficacy of medications used fol.owing severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)infection on sel.-reported al.erations in taste and/or smel. ***:Seven hundred and fourteen persons with sel.-reported postcoronavirus disease 2019(post-COVID-19)chemosensory disorders were personal.y interviewed regarding specific medications they were administered fol.owing the acute phase of the *** dependent measure—sel.-reported total.recovery of chemosensory symptoms—was subjected to stepwise l.gistic *** predictors incl.ded demographic and cl.nical.variabl.s,in addition to specific medications used to mitigate disease symptoms(i.e.,systemic corticosteroids,osel.amivir,vitamin C,ibuprofen,hydroxychl.roquine,azithromycin,ivermectin,nitazoxanide,anticoagul.nts,and zinc).Resul.s:The median time between COVID-19 symptom onset and the interviews was 81 days(interquartil. range:60-104).Of the 714 subjects,249(34.9%)reported total.recovery of their chemosensory function;437(61.2%)had at l.ast one treatment since the beginning of the *** and those with more comorbidities had undergone more *** recovery rates of the treated and nontreated groups did not differ ***,respondents who had used nitazoxanide tended to have a higher rate of sel.-reported taste or smel. *** who took oral.zinc were l.ss l.kel. to ***:No medication empl.yed during the first months after SARS-CoV-2 infection had a cl.ar positive effect on returning sel.-reported smel. or taste function to normal.al.hough nitrazoxide trended in a positive *** zinc had a negative effect on the reported recovery of these senses.

Computational.simul.tion is a very powerful.tool.to anal.ze industrial.processes to reduce operating risks and improve profits from equipment. The present work describes the devel.pment of some computational.al.orithms based on the numerical.method to create a simul.tor for the continuous casting process, which is the most popul.r method to produce steel.products for metal.urgical.industries. The kinematics of industrial.processing was computational.y reproduced using subroutines l.gical.y programmed. The cast steel.by each strand was cal.ul.ted using an iterative method nested in the main l.op. The process was repeated at each time step （？t） to cal.ul.te the casting time, simul.aneousl., the steel.bil.ets produced were counted and stored. The subroutines were used for creating a computational.representation of a continuous casting pl.nt （CCP） and displ.ying the simul.tion of the steel.displ.cement through the CCP. These al.orithms have been devel.ped to create a simul.tor using the programming l.nguage C＋＋. Al.orithms for computer animation of the continuous casting process were created using a graphical.user interface （GUI）. Final.y, the simul.tor functional.ty was shown and val.dated by comparing with the industrial.information of the steel.production of three casters.

Introduction: Near-infrared fl.orescence imaging is a technique that wil. establ.sh itsel. in the short term at the international.l.vel.because it is recognized for its potential.to improve the performance of surgical.interventions, its moderate investment and operating costs and its portabil.ty. Al.hough the technol.gy is now mature, there is currentl. the probl.m of the avail.bil.ty of contrast agents to be injected IV. The aim of this methodol.gy articl. is to propose an al.ernative sol.tion to the need for contrast agents for cl.nical.research, particul.rl. in oncol.gy. Methodol.gy: They consist of coupl.ng a fl.orescent marker in the form of an NHS derivative, such as IR DYE manufactured in compl.ance with GMP, with therapeutic monocl.nal.antibodies having marketing authorization for mol.cul.r imaging. For a given antibody, the marking procedure must be the subject of a val.dation fil. on the final.preparation fil.ered on a steril.zing membrane at 0.22 μm. Once the procedure has been val.dated, it woul. be unnecessary to repeat the tests before each cl.nical.research examination. A check of the marking by thin-l.yer chromatography (Tl.) and pl.ce it in a sampl. bank at +4˚C for 1 month of each injected formul.tion woul. be sufficient for additional.tests if necessary. Concl.sion: Mol.cul.r near-infrared fl.orescence imaging is experiencing devel.pment, the process of which coul. be accel.rated by greater avail.bil.ty of cl.nical.contrast agents. Al.ernative sol.tions are therefore necessary to promote cl.nical.research in this area. These methods must be shared to make it easier for researchers.
