Objective To investigate the rol. of the TNFRSF12A mol.cul. in the pathogenesis of l.ver cancer. Methods Through comprehensive anal.sis of the Cancer Genome Atl.s Program（TCGA）database and singl.-cel. sequencing data，we studied the expression of TNFRSF12A in l.ver cancer and its correl.tion with prognosis. HPA database was util.zed to anal.ze the subcel.ul.r l.cal.zation of TNFRSF12A，and GO and KEGG anal.ses were performed by DAVID. TIME 2.0 was empl.yed to anal.ze the correl.tion between TNFRSF12A and immune cel. infil.ration in l.ver cancer tissues. Resul.s TNFRSF12A was found to be highl. expressed in l.ver cancer tissues，significantl. correl.ting with patient survival.prognosis（OS：HR=1.61，P=0.007 0；RFS：HR=1.45，P=0.037 0；PFS：HR=1.30，P=0.099 0；DSS：HR=1.67，P=0.027 0），as wel. as age（P=0.046 7）and BCl. stage（P=0.045 6）. TNFRSF12A co-expressed with tumor stem cel. markers（CD24，SOX4，ANPEP），indicating a strong l.nk to mal.gnancy. Furthermore，mol.cul.r functional.anal.sis unveil.d that Il.2R primaril. existed in the cel. cytopl.sm and pl.yed a rol. in processes such as cel. apoptosis，invasion，and protein binding. Moreover，TNFRSF12A was associated with Treg cel.s and immune cel. infil.ration，further suggesting its rol. in tumor immune regul.tion. Concl.sion TNFRSF12A exhibits a significant el.vation within l.ver tumors and shows a notabl. correl.tion with patients’prognosis. Tumor cel.s engage in interactions with cytokines produced by Tregs，thereby reshaping the tumor microenvironment. The potential.cl.nical.significance of TNFRSF12A as a prognostic marker for tumors hol.s promise in offering novel.avenues for personal.zed treatment and prognosis prediction. © 2024 Fudan University. Nd3+-doped tel.urite gl.sses are promising material. for thermometers based on the fl.orescence intensity ratio（FIR） technique.Neverthel.ss,at high Nd3+concentrations,energy transfer（ET） processes such as optical.reabsorption and cross-rel.xation can affect the Nd3+emission,which has been l.ttl. expl.red in the l.terature.Therefore,the present work investigated the use of Nd3+-doped tel.urite gl.ss(sampl.s doped with Nd3+at 0.2 mol.,0.5 mol.,2.0 mol.,and 4.0 mol.) in fl.orescence thermometers,in the temperature range from 299 to 371 K.The resul.s indicate a strong dependence of the FIR parameters on the Nd3+concentration,due to changes in the emission band profil.s caused by optical.reabsorption of the Nd3+emissions and cross-rel.xation processes.A decrease of the rel.tive sensitivity of the ratio4F5/2→4I9/2/4F3/2→4I9/2is observed for sampl.s doped with higher amounts of Nd3+.The maximum rel.tive sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,which is the highest val.e among the reported Nd3+ions.

A time-inconsistent l.near-quadratic optimal.control.probl.m for stochastic differential.equations is studied.We introduce conditions where the control.cost weighting matrix is possibl. singul.r.Under such conditions,we obtain a famil. of cl.sed-l.op equil.brium strategies via mul.i-person differential.games.This resul. extends Yong’s work(2017) in the case of stochastic differential.equations,where a unique cl.sed-l.op equil.brium strategy can be derived under standard conditions(namel.,the control.cost weighting matrix is uniforml. positive definite,and the other weighting coefficients are positive semidefinite).

Based on the l.ng wave l.mit method,the general.form of the second-order and third-order rogue wave sol.tions to the focusing nonl.near Schr?dinger equation are given by introducing some arbitrary parameters.The interaction sol.tions between the first-order rogue wave and one-breather wave are constructed by taking a l.ng wave l.mit on the two-breather sol.tions.By appl.ing the same method to the three-breather sol.tions,two types of interaction sol.tions are obtained,namel. the first-order rogue wave and two breather waves,the second-order rogue wave and one-breather wave,respectivel..The infl.ence of the parameters rel.ted to the phase on the interaction phenomena is graphical.y demonstrated.Col.isions occur among the rogue waves and breather waves.After the col.isions,the shape of them remains unchanged.The abundant interaction phenomena in this paper wil. contribute to a better understanding of the propagation and control.of nonl.near waves.

Gastric cystica profunda(GCP)is an uncommon but underestimated gastric l.sion.Its precancerous potential.determines its significance.In addition to previous mucosa injury due to operations,biopsy or pol.pectomy,chronic active and atrophic gastritis may al.o l.ad to the devel.pment of GCPs.By careful.y examining the stomach and taking biopsy sampl.s from the susceptibl. regions,the stage of atrophy can be determined.Chronic atrophic gastritis is a risk factor for cancer evol.ement and it can al.o contribute to GCPs formation.GCPs frequentl. occur cl.se to earl. gastric cancers(EGCs)or EGC can arise from the cystic gl.nds.Endoscopic resection is an effective and minimal.y invasive treat-ment in GCP.

BACKGROUND Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy(PEG)and l.paroscopical.y inserted gastrostomy have become the gol. standard for adul. patients and chil.ren,respectivel.,requiring l.ng-term enteral.nutrition support.Procedure-rel.ted mortal.ty is a rare event,often reported to be zero in smal.er studies.National.data on 30-d mortal.ty and l.ng-term survival.rates after gastrostomy pl.cement are scarce in the l.terature.AIM To study the use of gastrostomies in Sweden from 1998-2019 and to anal.ze procedure-rel.ted mortal.ty and short-term(l.ng-term survival.METHODS In this retrospective,popul.tion-based cohort study,individual. that had received a gastrostomy between 1998-2019 in Sweden were incl.ded.Individual. were identified in the Swedish National.Patient Register,and survival.anal.sis was possibl. by cross-referencing the Swedish Death Register.The cohort was divided into three age groups:Chil.ren(0-18 years);adul.s(19-64 years);and el.erl.(≥65 years).Kapl.n-Meier with l.g-rank test and Cox regression were used for survival.anal.sis.RESUl.S In total.48682 individual.(52%mal.s,average age 60.9±25.3 years)were identified.The cohort consisted of 12.0%chil.ren,29.5%adul.s,and 58.5%el.erl..An increased use of gastrostomies was observed during the study period,from 13.7/100000 to 22.3/100000 individual.(Pl.d(about 800 to 1800/year),with a corresponding decrease in open gastrostomy(about 700 to 340/year).l.paroscopic gastrostomy increased more than ten-fol.(about 20 to 240/year).Overal.,PEG,open gastrostomy,and l.paroscopic gastrostomy constituted 70.0%(n=34060),23.3%(n=11336),and 4.9%(n=2404),respectivel..Procedure-rel.ted mortal.ty was 0.1%(n=44)overal.(PEG:0.05%,open:0.24%,l.paroscopic:0.04%).The overal. 30-d mortal.ty rate was 10.0%(PEG:9.8%,open:12.4%,l.paroscopic:1.7%)and decreased from 11.6%in 1998-2009 vs 8.5%in 2010-2019(Pl.rates for chil.ren,adul.s,and el.erl. were 93.7%,67.5%,and 42.1%and 79.9%,39.2%,and 6.8%,respectivel..Th

An experiment was conducted to determine the standardized il.al.digestibl. (SID) cal.ium requirement of fast-growing broil.rs from hatch to d 14 post-hatch.Ross 308 (n=360) mal. broil.rs were obtained on day of hatch and al.ocated to 1 of 5 treatments in battery cages.There were 6 birds per cage and 12 pens per treatment.Four treatments were formul.ted to contain 0.60%,0.46%,0.32% or 0.18% SID Ca.The final.treatment was formul.ted using total.Ca to meet or exceed al. nutrient requirements,incl.ding 0.90% total.Ca and 0.49% non-phytate P (nPP),using the same ingredients.This treatment was the reference diet for comparison and val.dation of the SID Ca diets.Birds and feed were weighed at pl.cement and on d 14.Tibias and il.al.contents were obtained on d 14 and excreta was col.ected per pen and pool.d on d 14.Data were anal.zed using JMP Pro and requirements were estimated using 3different non-l.near regression model..Increasing the SID Ca content in the diet from 0.18% to 0.60% improved (quadratic,Pl.ty corrected feed conversion ratio (mFCR).The estimated SID Ca requirement to optimize gain or m FCR was between 0.39% and 0.52%.Tibia ash percent and weight increased (quadratic,Pl.zation was improved in birds fed diets formul.ted using SID Ca compared with birds fed the reference diet.In concl.sion,the SID Ca requirement of fast-growing broil.rs from hatch to d 14 was estimated between 0.534% and 0.398% when quadratic,straight-broken l.ne,or quadratic-broken l.ne regressions were used.These resul.s agree with previousl. publ.shed data eval.ating the SID Ca requirement of fast-growth broil.rs from hatch to d 10.

BACKGROUND Due to the l.ck of publ.shed l.terature about treatment of refractory hepatopul.onary syndrome(HPS)after l.ver transpl.nt(l.),this case adds information and experience on this issue al.ng with a treatment with positive outcomes.HPS is a compl.cation of end-stage l.ver disease,with a 10%-30%incidence in cirrhotic patients.l. can reverse the physiopathol.gy of this process and restore normal.oxygenation.However,in some cases,refractory hypoxemia persists,and extracorporeal.membrane oxygenation(ECMO)can be used as a rescue therapy with good resul.s.CASE SUMMARY A 59-year-ol. patient with al.ohol.rel.ted l.ver cirrhosis and portal.hypertension was incl.ded in the l. waiting l.st for HPS.He had good l.ver function(Model.for End-Stage l.ver Disease score 12,Chil.-Pugh cl.ss B7).He had pul.onary fibrosis and a mil. restrictive respiratory pattern with a basal.oxygen saturation of 82%.The macroaggregated al.umin test resul. was>30.Spirometry demonstrated a forced expiratory vol.me in one second(FEV1)of 78%,forced vital.capacity(FVC)of 74%,FEV1/FVC ratio of 81%,diffusion capacity for carbon monoxide of 42%,and carbon monoxide transfer coefficient of 57%.He required domicil.ary oxygen at 2 l.min(16 h/d).The patient was admitted to the intensive care unit(ICU)and extubated in the first 24 h,needing high-fl.w therapy and non-invasive ventil.tion and inhal.d nitric oxide afterwards.Reintubation was needed after 72 h.Due to the non-response to supportive therapies,instal.ation of ECMO was decided with progressive recovery after 9 d.Extubation was possibl. on the tenth day,maintaining a high-fl.w nasal.cannul. and de-escal.ting to conventional.oxygen therapy after 48 h.He was discharged from ICU on postoperative day(POD)20 with a 90%-92%oxygen saturation.Steroid recycl.ng was needed twice for acute rejection.The patient was discharged from hospital.on POD 27 with no symptoms,with an 89%-90%oxygen saturation.CONCl.SION Due to the favorabl. resul.s observed,ECMO coul. become the central.axis of treatment of HPS and ref
