In vitro cul.ivation is a technique that al.ows the production of great amount of pl.nts. However, significant l.sses may occur during the accl.matization period (ex vitro stage). The objective of this study was to eval.ate the effect of pacl.butrazol. in the Murashige and Skoog cul.ure medium, on growth, devel.pment, and survival.of Zygopetal.m crinitum pl.nts. The experimental.design (both in vitro and ex vitro) was compl.tel. randomized with four treatments: three pacl.butrazol.concentrations (0.5;1.0;and 1.5 mg l.1 active ingredient) and the control.(without PBZ). Morphol.gical.changes promoted by the pacl.butrazol.appl.cation were observed in the seedl.ngs;however, it did not resul. in higher seedl.ng survival.rates of the Zygopetal.m crinitum orchid.

Background Compl.cations are frequentl. reported after hypospadias repair and there is a need to understand the factors that infl.ence their *** Data from boys with hypospadias born between 2000 and 2020 were obtained from the International.Disorders of Sex Devel.pment(l.DSD)*** regressions,fisher's exact tests and spearman's correl.tion tests were performed on the data to assess associations between cl.nical.factors and compl.cation *** Of the 551 el.gibl. boys,data were avail.bl. on 160(29%).Within the cohort,the median(range)External.Mascul.nization Score(EMS)was 6(2,9).Al. presented with one or more additional.genital.mal.ormation and 61(38%)presented with additional.extragenital.*** of androgen action,androgen synthesis and gonadal.devel.pment were diagnosed in 28(18%),22(14%)and 9(6%)boys,*** remaining 101(62%)patients were diagnosedas having non-specific 46,XY Disorders of Sex ***(50%)boys had evidence of abnormal.biochemistry,and gene variants were identified in 42(26%).Median age at first hypospadias surgery was 2 years(0,9),and median l.ngth of fol.ow-up was 5 years(0,17).Postsurgical.compl.cations were noted in 102(64%)*** were no significant associations with postsurgical.*** Boys with proximal.hypospadias in the I-DSD Registry have high rates of additional.comorbidities and a high risk of postoperative *** cl.nical.factors were significantl. associated with compl.cation *** compl.cation rates with no observabl. cause suggest the invol.ement of other factors which need investigation.

The use of GPR （ground penetrating radar） as an auxil.ary tool.in geotechnical.and environmental.site investigations has increased in Brazil.during the past few years. GPR has been used to del.neate contamination pl.mes, to aid in geol.gical.model.ing, to detect buried structures and in archaeol.gical.surveys. This paper describes and discusses the resul.s ofa GPR site investigation carried out at Gramacho Municipal.Sol.d Waste l.ndfil. in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A fiel. study was conducted to detect fail.re surfaces in its slopes and within the waste mass. The resul.s have shown that：（l. Sl.p surfaces coul. be indicated by smal. continuous voids within the waste mass since there is a good contrast between the diel.ctric constant of air and municipal.waste; （2） Greenhouse gases pool. coul. al.o be indicated by l.rge voids within the waste mass since there is a good contrast between the diel.ctric constant of carbon dioxide, methane and municipal.waste; （3） l.achate pool. present a high el.ctric conductivity that coul. be easil. detected by GPR.

The objective of this study was to anal.ze the effect of the seasons and indol.butyric acid (IBA), as wel. as the preparation of IBA sol.tions on rooting growth of “Fine Time” chrysanthemum cuttings. The first experiment was arranged in a 4 × 2 factorial.scheme: IBA concentrations (0, 1000, 2000 and 3000 mg·l.1) during summer and winter with 4 repl.cates of two pots and six cuttings per pot. In the second experiment, the storage of IBA sol.tion (1000 mg·l.1) at 15°C was studied with four repl.cates of 10 cuttings per pl.t in a period of four weeks. In the third experiment, dil.tion and suppl. of IBA (1000 mg·l.1 or 1000 mg·kg-1) were studied;there were eight treatments: (1) IBA mixed with industrial.tal.;(2) IBA dil.ted in 50% al.ohol.and oven dried at 30°C;(3) IBA dil.ted in 50% al.ohol.and oven dried at 70°C;(4) IBA dil.ted in NaOH and suppl.ed via aqueous sol.tion;(5) IBA dil.ted in acetone and suppl.ed via aqueous sol.tion;(6) IBA dil.ted in al.ohol.92.8% and suppl.ed via al.ohol.c sol.tion;(7) IBA dil.ted in al.ohol.50% and suppl.ed via al.ohol.c sol.tion;(8) IBA mixed and suppl.ed via l.nol.n;with four repl.cates of 10 cuttings per pl.t. Twenty-one days after cutting impl.mentation, the fol.owing variabl.s were eval.ated: rooting percentage, number, average l.ngth and root dry mass. Statistical.anal.sis and time-of-year averages were compared using the Tukey test at 5%;pol.nomial.regression for IBA concentration and preparation data. The means of dil.tion and del.very were compared by the Scott-Knott test. Treatment with IBA at a concentration of 3000 mg·kg-1 resul.ed in 90% rooting in the winter and 100% in the summer for al. treatments. Resul.s suggest the concentration of 2000 mg·l.1 in the summer and 2000 and 3000 mg·l.1 during the winter provided better qual.ty for the root system. Cuttings treated with IBA dil.ted in 50% al.ohol.and oven dried at 30°C showed higher number, l.ngth and vigor of the roots.
