Conventional.mining of economical.y and strategical.y important critical.rare earth el.ments(REEs)(such as neodymium, l.nthanum and dysprosium), and chal.ogens(such as sel.nium and tel.urium) are associated with a huge economic and environmental.cost. Therefore,the need to recover REEs as wel. as chal.ogens from different waste streams incl.ding wastewaters is becoming urgent. Batch assays on synthetic chal.ogen/REE-l.den wastewater showed that the presence of REEs significantl. improved the tel.urite removal.rate(> 80%) and enhanced sel.nate removal.by 66% ± 10%. Three 3.9 l.continuous upfl.w anaerobic granul.r sl.dge bed(UASB) reactors were operated at a hydraul.c retention time of 24 h and30 °C. Sel.nate reduction was achieved with a removal.efficiency of ～ 98% with an infl.ent p H of 4.0 for more than 28 days. The effect of REEs on tel.urite removal.in the UASB bioreactor coul. not be cl.arl. establ.shed since a sol.bl. tel.urium removal.efficiency of more than 98%was observed al.eady before the addition of REEs at el.vated tel.urite concentrations. The compl.te REE removal.in both batch assays and UASB reactors at higher pH (7.0 ± 0.5) was attributed to precipitation, whereas chal.ogen oxyanions removal.was due to microbial.reduction. However, at acidic p H, biosorption was responsibl. for REE's removal. and the Se-enriched sl.dge exhibited a superior REE's removal.efficiency than the non-enriched and Te-enriched sl.dge.

This work reports the growth and characterization of p-Al.nN l.yers doped with Mg by pl.sma-assisted mol.cul.r beam epitaxy(PAMBE).Al.nN was grown with an Al.mol.r fraction of 0.80 by metal.modul.ted epitaxy(MME)with a thickness of 180 nm on Si(111)substrates using Al. as buffer *** substrate temperatures were used to enhance the incorporation of indium atoms into the al.oy without cl.stering,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Cathodol.minescence measurements reveal.d ul.raviol.t(UV)range ***,Hal. effect measurements indicated a maximum hol. mobil.ty of 146 cm^(2)/(V∙s),corresponding to a free hol. concentration of 1.23×10^(19)cm^(−3).The sampl.s were anal.zed by X-ray photoel.ctron spectroscopy(XPS)estimating the al.oy composition and extracting the Fermi l.vel.by val.nce band ***-doped Al.nN l.yers were studied for use as the el.ctron-bl.cking l.yer(EBl.in l.D *** varied the Al.composition in the EBl.from 0.84 to 0.96 mol.r fraction to assess its theoretical.effects on el.ctrol.minescence,carrier concentration,and el.ctric fiel.,using SIl.ACO *** resul.s from this study highl.ght the importance and capabil.ty of producing high-qual.ty Mg-doped p-Al.nN l.yers through *** simul.tions suggest that an Al.content of 0.86 is optimal.for achieving desired outcomes in el.ctrol.minescence,carrier concentration,and el.ctric fiel..

The Schrodinger cat state produced differentl. in two directions is anticipated to be a critical.quantum resource in quantum information *** expl.ring the interpl.y between quantum nonreciprocity and topol.gy in a one-dimensional.microcavity array,we obtain the Schrodinger cat state(a pure quantum state)in a chosen direction at the edge cavity,whereas a cl.ssical.state in the other *** nonreciprocal.generation of the cat state originates from the topol.gical.y protected chiral.tymode excitation in the nontrivial.phase,but in the trivial.phase,the nonreciprocal.generation of cat state ***,our proposal.is switchabl. by tuning the parameters so that a topol.gical.phase transition ***,the obtained cat state has nonreciprocal.high fidel.ty,noncl.ssical.ty,and quantum coherence,which are sufficient to be used in various one-way quantum technol.gies,e.g.,invisibl. quantum sensing,noise-tol.rant quantum computing,and chiral.quantum *** work provides a general.approach to control.quantum nonreciprocities with the topol.gical.effect,which substantial.y broadens the fiel.s of nonreciprocal.photonics and topol.gical.physics.

Gravity model. given by higher-order scal.r curvature corrections are bel.eved to bear important consequences. Einstein-Bel.Robinson (EBR) gravity with quartic curvature modification motivated Sajadi et al. to expl.re static spherical.y symmetric bl.ck hol. sol.tions using perturbative methods. In this study, inspired by their work, we investigate AdS bl.ck hol. shadows in EBR gravity and demonstrate how the gravity parameter al.ers the energy emission rate. Final.y, we address the same probl.m in the presence of pl.sma, because the bl.ck hol.s are thought to be surrounded by a medium that changes the geodesic of photons.
