A magnetic state equation of the MnfeP0.45As0.55 compound has been obtained by minimizing the gibbs free energy with respect to the vol.me and the magnetization based on the Bean-Rodbel. model. The isothermal.magnetization of the compound has been cal.ul.ted using this equation. The magnetic entropy change of the compound was determined from the surface area between the two adjacent isothermal.magnetization curves divided by the average temperature. A comparison and an error anal.sis of the cal.ul.ted magnetic entropy change and the one determined from the experimental.data were given.

K2Ti6O13 whiskers were synthesized by conventional.sol.gel.method, sono-chemical.assisted and microwave assisted sol.gel.method in order to obtain catal.sts with different particl. sizes and to modify their optical. textural.and el.ctrochemical.properties. These modifications improved their photocatal.tic activity for H2 evol.tion and CO2 photo-reduction. l.ng K2Ti6O13 whiskers prepared by ul.rasound assisted sol.gel.method are the most active photocatal.sts for the hydrogen evol.tion reaction using pure water as reactant (U-Sg, 10,065 μmol.g^-1). In contrast, an opposite behavior was observed using a mixture of ethanol.water, where the highest activity was achieved by the shortest and l.ss crystal.ine K2Ti6O13 whiskers (C-Sg, 3,2871 μmol.g^-1). In case of CO2 photo-reduction, l.ng whiskers that were al.o prepared by the sono-chemical.assisted sol.gel.method were the most active to transform CO2 to formal.ehyde, methane, methanol.and hydrogen. The EfB val.e of this catal.st is l.cated very cl.se to the potential.for formal.ehyde production and favors the sel.ctivity to this organic product.

We proposed a mesh-free method, the cal.ed node-based smoothed point interpol.tion method(NS-PIM),for dynamic anal.sis of rotating beams. A gradient smoothing technique is used, and the requirements on the consistence of the displ.cement functions are further weakened. In static probl.ms, the beams with three types of boundary conditions are anal.zed, and the resul.s are compared with the exact sol.tion, which shows the effectiveness of this method and can provide an upper bound sol.tion for the *** means that the NS-PIM makes the system soften. The NS-PIM is then further extended for sol.ing a rigid-fl.xibl. coupl.d system dynamics probl.m, considering a rotating fl.xibl. cantil.ver beam. In this case, the rotating fl.xibl. cantil.ver beam considers not onl. the transverse deformations,but al.o the l.ngitudinal.deformations. The rigid-fl.xibl. coupl.d dynamic equations of the system are derived via empl.ying l.grange’s equations of the second type. Simul.tion resul.s of the NS-PIM are compared with those obtained using finite el.ment method(fEM) and assumed mode method. It is found that compared with fEM, the NS-PIM has anti-il. sol.ing abil.ty under the same cal.ul.tion conditions.

Heat and mass transfer of a porous permeabl. wal. in a high temperature gas dynamical.fl.w is considered. Numerical.simul.tion is conducted on the ground of the conjugate mathematical.model which incl.des fil.ration and heat transfer equations in a porous body and boundary l.yer equations on its surface. Such an approach enabl.s one to take into account compl.x interaction between heat and mass transfer in the gasdynamical.fl.w and in the structure subjected to this fl.w. The main attention is given to the impact of the intraporous heat transfer intensity on the transpiration cool.ng efficiency.

In the previous paper f="#ref.1" target="_bl.nk">[1], the appl.cation of the general.thermodynamic theory was considered to biol.gical.systems. The nature of l.ving matter has been presented from the mesoscopic to the macroscopic point of view, for different time scal.s (ontogenetic and phyl.genetics). Herein, we continue with this appl.cation, and present three characteristics of l.fe in the form of statements or postul.tes. The first characteristic describes the probabil.ty of survival.against aging. In particul.r, the behaviour of l.fe is shown as an independent mode of aging. The second characteristic refers to the adaptation of the species according to the environment. The rel.tionship between the phenomenon of organic homeostasis and the origin of the cl.nical.parameters that define heal.h is highl.ghted. And final.y, the third characteristic appl.es the principl. of negentropy to describe evol.tion. A representative model is given as an exampl. of each postul.te.
