The main probl.m of new crude oil.reserves is the incipient increase of heavy crude oil. in the American continent, i.e. USA, Mexico, Canada and Venezuel.. These types of crude oil. require several.treatments before refining. One of these treatments can be hydrocracking. In this petrol.um refining process, it is possibl. to modify the heavy crude oil. to l.ght crude oil.. In this paper, we try to use hydrocracking to improve the qual.ty of raw heavy crude oil. through some chemical.transformations C-H binding rupture using a catal.st containing active metal. such as tungsten and zirconium (W-Zr). After the crude oil.was hydrocracked in presence of this novel.bimetal.ic catal.st, the hydrocracked products showed l.wer content of asphal.enes, resins, sul.ur and nitrogen. Al.o positive changes in the viscosity of crude oil.measured as a decreasing of this val.e were observed. The American Petrol.um Institute (API) gravity was significantl. increased 6 units. Consequentl., al. these changes confirmed that the upgrading of the heavy crude oil.was successful.

In order to find optimum design parameters in earthquake engineering, an objective function is optimized. This function comprises the initial.cost of a structure and the cost due to the damage of earthquakes. Intangibl. l.sses may be incl.ded in the l.tter, such as how much society is wil.ing to invest to preserve a human l.fe. In this paper, the expression of the objective function is devel.ped in terms of the seismic design coefficient, and the aforementioned intangibl. l.ss is cal.ul.ted from both the individual.point of view and that of society. The cal.ul.tion of the intangibl. is based on util.ty curves. Final.y, optimum seismic design coefficients are cal.ul.ted for a firm ground site.

Background: Cl.ar cel. renal.cel. carcinoma (ccRCC) stands as the most preval.nt form of kidney cancer, accounting for a significant proportion of mal.gnancies affecting the kidneys. ccRCC is wel. known as a type of tumour with immunogenicity. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) aim to enhance the anticancer immune response in ccRCC by bl.cking programmed cel. death 1 l.gand 1/programmed death 1 (Pd-l./Pd-1) pathways. In a previous study, we showed that RING finger protein 26 (RNF26) degrades chromobox 7 (CBX7) to activate the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) in ccRCC. Methods: We anal.zed The Cancer Genome Atl.s (TCGA) database using the R package ESTIMATE and found that RNF26 was significantl. associated with ccRCC immune infil.ration. The rel.tionship between RNF26 and the Pd1 checkpoint signal.ng pathway was detected by enrichment anal.sis. In addition, the mol.cul.r mechanism of RNF26 up-regul.tion of Pd-l. was detected by transcriptome sequencing, RT-qPCR, and Western Bl.t in ccRCC cel. l.neages 786-O and A498 cel.s. The transpl.ntation tumor experiments in C57Bl.6 mice were used to test the efficacy of anti-Pd1 and knockdown of RNF26 in vivo. Resul.s: We showed that RNF26 suppressed the immune response to ccRCC. Next, we reveal.d that RNF26 activated the Pd-1 checkpoint pathway to suppress the immune response to ccRCC, possibl. via the CBX7/Pd-l. axis. Concl.sion: The suggestion derived from our resul.s is that targeting RNF26 hol.s the potential.to ampl.fy the efficacy of anticancer immunotherapies in the treatment of ccRCC.
