Bac.ground: In c.ngo, there is no pediatric.gastroenterol.gy department and the ac.ivity of c.l.nosc.py has never been eval.ated. The aim of this study is to report the indic.tions and the resul.s of pediatric.c.l.nosc.py in Brazzavil.e. Methods: A retrospec.ive study was c.nduc.ed from January 2016 to August 2017 by anal.zing reports of c.l.nosc.py performed in the gastroenterol.gy department in Brazzavil.e. Sex, presc.ibers, indic.tions and resul.s of c.l.nosc.py were the variabl.s study. Resul.s: over the 19-month period, 489 c.l.nosc.pies have been performed, in whic. 13 (2.7%) c.l.nosc.pies were performed in c.il.ren under 17 years, with an average age of 9.8 ± 4.6 (8 mal.s and 6 femal.s) and the extreme ranging from 1 - 17 years. The sex ratio (H/F) was 1.6. The presc.ibers were gastroenterol.gist (n = 4), pediatric.an (n = 4), surgeons (n = 2), general.prac.itioners (n = 2), pediatric.students (n = 1). c.ronic.bowel.infl.mmatory diseases and pol.pec.omy was the most frequent c.nditions for c.l.nosc.py indic.tion. Seven (7) c.l.nosc.pies were normal. 4 c.ses were rec.o-pol.ps, and 2 c.ses were ul.erative c.l.tis. c.nc.0}sion: pediatric.c.l.nosc.py is a powerful.diagnostic.and therapeutic.means. The pediatric.ans shoul. think about it to improve the management of c.il.ren with digestive symptoms that meet the indic.tions of pediatric.c.l.nosc.py.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infec.ion is a major publ.c.heal.h probl.m in the worl.. In c.ngo, studies on the preval.nc. of HBV infec.ion are c.mmon but HDV infec.ion is rare. Objec.ive: c.ntribute to improve the management and prevention of HBV and HDV infec.ions. Patients and Methods: This was a desc.iptive and c.oss-sec.ional.study c.nduc.ed from January to August 2016 in the heal.h servic.s of the various departments of c.ngo and at the national.publ.c.heal.h l.boratory in Brazzavil.e. Al. patients with HBsAg surfac. antigen who were at l.ast 18 years ol. and who c.nsented to the study were inc.0}ded. The HBs antigen was first tested by a rapid test then c.nfirmed by El.SA. Al. HBsAg positive patients were subsequentl. subjec.ed to a sec.nd El.SA test for Del.a antibody. The tec.niques of extrac.ion and c.nventional.and spec.fic.gene ampl.fic.tion were c.rried out on pl.sma for the identific.tion of the genotypes of the two viruses. The data anal.sis was done with EpiInfo V7 software. The proportions were c.mpared using the c.i-square test or the Fisher test at the signific.nc. l.vel.of 5%. Resul.s: 1618 subjec.s were inc.0}ded, of whom 180 were positive for HBsAg, a frequenc. of 11.12%. The sex ratio (M/F) was 0.77%, the mean age was 40.2 ± 15.6 years with extremes ranging from 18 to 88 years. Of the 180 HBsAg positive, 22 were anti-VHD positive, a frequenc. of 12.22%. HBV DNA was ampl.fied in 83.8% (151/180), HDV RNA in 63.6% (14/22). For HBV, three genotypes were identified: E (46.9%), A (43.7%) and D (9.4%), however for VHD three genotypes D1, D5, D8 were identified. c.nc.0}sion: c.-infec.ion of hepatitis B and Del.a viruses is c.mmon in c.ngo. The management and prevention of hepatitis B must take into ac.ount the real.ty of this c.-infec.ion.
