A Method for Evaluating the Maximum Bending Degree of Flexural Toppling Rock Masses Based on the Rock Tensile strain-softening Model

Flexural toppling occurs when a series of layered rock masses bend towards their free *** is important to evaluate the maximum bending degree and the requirement of supports of flexural toppling rock mass to prevent rock mass cracking and even failure leading to a *** on the rock tensile strain-softening model,this study proposes a method for calculating the maximum curvature(C_(ppmax))of flexural toppling rock *** applying this method to calculate Cppmax of 9 types of rock masses with different hardness and rock layer thickness,some conclusions are drawn:(1)the internal key factors affecting C_(ppmax)are E^(⋆)(E^(⋆)=E_(ss)/E_(0),where E_(0)and E_(ss)are the mean deformation moduli of the rock before and after reaching its peak tensile strength,respectively),the strainεt corresponding to the tensile strength of rock,and the thickness(h)of rock layers;(2)hard rock layers are more likely to develop into block toppling than soft rock layers;and(3)thin rock layers are more likely to remain in flexural toppling state than thick rock *** addition,it is found that C_(ppmax)for flexural toppling rock masses composed of bedded rocks such as gneiss is related to the tensile direction.

The oxidation behavior of Ni-based superalloy GH4742 exposed to water vapor was investigated at 900-1100℃for 50 h in Ar+20%H_(2)O,with Ar+20%O_(2)included for *** presence of H_(2)O is adverse to formation of continuous Cr_(2)O_(3)oxide layer but contributes to generation of big *** on this,Ni^(2+)and Co^(2+)are more easily to diffuse towards the outermost oxide layer(OOl),forming non-protective Ni-and Co-rich oxides with high *** leads to a higher weight gain in Ar+20%H_(2)O than that in Ar+20%O_(2).At elevated temperatures,the spallation of oxide scale occurs while the consumption of Cr is reduced in Ar+20%H_(2)O,and the contents of Ni-and Co-rich oxides at this moment are reduced in the *** oxidation mechanism was also discussed.

We analyze the frequencies of three known roAp stars,TIC 96315731,TIC 72392575,and TIC 318007796,using the light curves from the Transiting Exoplanet survey *** TIC 96315731,the rotational and pulsational frequencies are 0.1498360 day^(-1)and 165.2609 day^(-1),*** the case of TIC 72392575,the rotational frequency is 0.25551 day^(-1).We detect a quintuplet of pulsation frequencies with a center frequency of135.9233 day^(-1),along with two signals within the second pair of rotational sidelobes of the quintuplet separated by the rotation *** two signals may correspond to the frequencies of a dipole *** TIC318007796,the rotational and pulsational frequencies are 0.2475021 day^(-1),192.73995 day^(-1),and196.33065 day^(-1),*** on the oblique pulsator model,we calculate the rotation inclination(i)and magnetic obliquity angle(b)for the stars,which provide the geometry of the pulsation *** the phases of the frequency quintuplets,the pulsation amplitude and phase modulation curves,and the results of spherical harmonic decomposition,we conclude that the pulsation modes of frequency quintuplets in TIC96315731,TIC 72392575,and TIC 318007796 correspond to distorted dipole mode,distorted quadrupole mode,and distorted dipole mode,respectively.

For the in-memory computation architecture,a ferroelectric semiconductor field-effect transistor(FesFET)incorporates ferroelectric material into the FET channel to realize logic and memory in a single *** emerging groupⅢnitride material Al_(1-x)sc_(x)N provides an excellent platform to explore FesFET,as this material has significant electric polarization,ferroelectric switching,and high carrier ***,steps need to be taken to reduce the large band gap of~5 eV of Al_(1-x)sc_(x)N to improve its transport property for in-memory logic *** state-of-the-art first principles analysis,here we predict that alloying a relatively small amount(less than~5%)of sb impurities into Al_(1-x)sc_(x)N very effectively reduces the band gap while maintaining excellent *** show that the co-doped sb and sc act cooperatively to give a significant band bowing leading to a small band gap of~1.76 eV and a large polarization parameter~0.87 C/m^(2),in the quaternary Al_(1-x)sc_(x)sb_(y)N_(1-y)*** sb impurity states become more continuous as a result of interactions with sc and can be used for impurity-mediated *** on the landau-Khalatnikov model,the landau parameters and the corresponding ferroelectric hysteresis loops are obtained for the quaternary *** findings indicate that Al_(1-x)sc_(x)sb_(y)N_(1-y)is an excellent candidate as the channel material of FesFET.

In this paper,we propose an analytical stochastic dynamic programming(sDP)algorithm to address the optimal management problem of price-maker community energy *** a price-maker,energy storage smooths price differences,thus decreasing energy arbitrage ***,this price-smoothing effect can result in significant external welfare changes by reduc-ing consumer costs and producer revenues,which is not negligible for the community with energy storage *** such,we formulate community storage management as an sDP that aims to maximize both energy arbitrage and community *** incorporate market interaction into the sDP format,we propose a framework that derives partial but sufficient market information to approximate impact of storage operations on market *** we present an analytical sDP algorithm that does not require state *** from computational efficiency,another advantage of the analytical algorithm is to guide energy storage to charge/discharge by directly comparing its current marginal value with expected future marginal *** studies indicate community-owned energy storage that maximizes both arbitrage and welfare value gains more benefits than storage that maximizes only *** proposed algorithm ensures optimality and largely reduces the computational complexity of the standard *** Terms-Analytical stochastic dynamic programming,energy management,energy storage,price-maker,social welfare.
