Shrimp(Penaeus vannamei)proteins have been shown an allergenic potential;however,little information is available on the sensitizing and eliciting capacity of shrimp protein digestion *** this study,a BAlB/c mice model was used to explore the allergenicity of shrimp protein sample(SPS)and their gastric and gastrointestinal digestion products(GDS/GIDS).As compared with the SPS groups,the GDS/GIDS groups caused lower specific immunoglobulins(Ig E/Ig G1)levels(Pcontrol groups,indicating that the digestion products sensitized the ***,spleen index,mouse mast cell protease-1(m McP-1)concentration and proportion of degranulated mast cells were significantly reduced in the GDS/GIDS groups(Pltaneously,allergic symptoms,vascular permeability and histopathological changes of tissues were ***,the allergenicity of digestion products cannot be eliminated and still cause systemic allergic reactions in *** study showed that the digestion products of shrimp still had high sensitizing and eliciting capacity.

Si-based materials have shown great potential as lithium-ion batteries(lIBs)anodes due to their natural reserves and high theoretical ***,the large volume changes during cycles and poor conductivity of Si lead to rapid capacity decay and poor cycling stability,ultimately limiting their commercial ***,we have skillfully utilized the microporous McM-22 zeolite as the unique silicon source to produce porous Si(pSi)sheets by a simple magnesiothermic reduction,followed by a carbon coating and further Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x)MXene assembly,obtaining the ternary pSi@Nc@TNSs *** the design,porous Si sheets provide more active sites and shorten li-ion transport paths for electrochemical *** N-doped carbon(Nc)layer serves as a bonding layer to couple pSi and Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x).The conductive network formed by 2D Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x)and medium Nc layer effectively enhances the overall charge transport of the electrode material,and helps to stabilize the electrode ***,the as-made pSi@Nc@TNSs anode delivers an improved lithium storage performance,exhibiting a high reversible capacity of 925 mAh/g at 0.5 A/g after 100 *** present strategy provides an effective way towards high-performance Si-based anodes for lIBs.

Dear Editor,W e write to present a case report of transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy(TPRK)without mitomycin-c(MMc)for irregular astigmatism after femtosecond laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis(FS-lASIK)flap *** informed consent was obtained from the patient to allow the publication of this case and associated accompanying *** study was conducted in accordance with the Helsinki *** is a surgical procedure which uses an excimer laser to ablation of both the corneal epithelium and stroma,which is widely used in clinic[1-2].The procedure may be conducted in cases where there is notable topographic irregularity or scarring following complications with the lASIK *** haze is a potential complication following TPRK,and the use of MMc as a prophylactic agent against postoperative corneal haze has been demonstrated to significantly reduce its formation after TPRK/photorefractive keratectomy(PRK).

This work uses thermal polymerization of urea nitrate, oxyacetic acid and urea as the raw material to prepare ultra-thin porous carbon nitride with carbon defects and c-O band（OA-UN-cN）. Density functional theory（DFT） calculations showed OA-UN-cN had narrower band gap,faster electron transport and a new internal construction electric field. Additionally, the prepared OA-UN-cN significantly enhanced photocatalytic activation of peroxymonosulfate（PMS） due to enhanced light absorption performance and faster electron overflow. As the result, the OA-UN-cN/PMS could entirely degrade bisphenol A（BPA） within 30 min, where the photodegradation rate was 81.8 and 7.9 times higher than that of g-c3N4and OA-UN-cN, respectively. Beyond, the OA-UN-cN/PMS could likewise degrade other bisphenol pollutants and sodium lignosulfonate efficiently. We suggested possible photocatalytic degradation pathways accordingly and explored the toxicity of its degradation products. This work provides a new idea on the development of advanced photocatalytic oxidation processes for the treatment of bisphenol pollutants and lignin derivatives, via a metal-free photothermal-catalyst.

Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are promising materials for thermometers based on the fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations,energy transfer(ET)processes such as optical reabsorption and cross-relaxation can affect the Nd^(3+)emission,which has been little explored in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(samples doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluorescence thermometers,in the temperature range from 299 to 371 *** results indicate a strong dependence of the FIR parameters on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes in the emission band profiles caused by optical reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)emissions and cross-relaxation processes.A decrease of the relative sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for samples doped with higher amounts of Nd^(3+).The maximum relative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,which is the highest value among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

Abiotic stresses, such as drought, salt, extreme temperatures, and heavy metal pollution, are the main environmental factors that limit crop growth and yield. Sorghum, a c4 grass plant with high photosynthetic efficiency, can grow in adverse environmental conditions due to its excellent stress resistance characteristics. Therefore, unraveling the stress-resistance mechanism of sorghum could provide a theoretical basis for developing and cultivating various stress-resistant crops. This understanding could also help to create a conducive environment for using marginal soil in agriculture and ensuring food security. In this review, we discuss the adaptation mechanisms of sorghum under drought, salinity, temperature, and soil heavy metal stresses, the specific response to stress, the screening of sorghum-resistant germplasm, and the identification and functional analysis of the relevant genes and quantitative trait loci(QTl). In addition, we discuss the application potential of different stress-tolerant sorghum germplasms reported to date and emphasize the feasibility and potential use in developing and promoting highly stress-tolerant sorghum in marginal soil.
