OI 630.0 nm airglow observations,from a new observatory.at Bom Jesus de lapa,were used to study the interaction between EPBs(Equatorial Plasma Bubbles)and the MSTID(Medium-Scale Traveling Ionospheric Disturbance)over the Northeast region in *** the night of September 16 to 17,2020,an EPB was observed propagating eastward,in an apparent fossil stage,until it interacted with a dark band electrified MSTID(e MSTID).After the interaction,four EPBs merged,followed by.an abrupt southward development and *** of the data suggests that an eastward polarization electric field,induced by the dark band e MSTID,forced the EPB into an upward drift,growing latitudinally.along the magnetic field lines and then bifurcating.

Coffee is currently the second largest commodity on the world market today.and there is great concern about the quality of the beans exported from producer countries to Europe and *** such as using blends of different species and adding low-cost raw materials,such as chicory,corn,and soybean,impair the sensory.and functional characteristics of the drink made from roasted and ground coffee *** is a need to adopt more efficient analytical methods than the microscopy technique currently *** first chromatographic method used to determine fraud was reported in *** method used paper chromatography to differentiate between coffee and chicory based on the free reducing *** of the 1980s,different methods involving high-performance liquid chromatography.and gas chromatography were developed in order to demonstrate geographic authenticity,distinction between species,occurrence of adulteration,and the presence of defective beans by determining the monosaccharides,oligosaccharides,tocopherols,fatty.acids,volatiles,diterpenes,sterols,and phenolic substances,among *** far as the authors know,there are no papers published in the literature that have compiled such an extensive set of information about these chromatographic methods as *** the last 2 y.ars,there has been a trend to develop analytical methods for ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry to confirm fraud in coffee,due to high sensitivity.and selectivity.

Background Fanconi-Debré-de Toni syndrome(also known as Fanconi renotubular syndrome,or FRST)profoundly increased the understanding of the functions of the proximal convoluted tubule(PCT)and provided important insights into the pathophysiology of several kidney diseases and drug *** sources We searched Pubmed and Scopus databases to find relevant articles about *** review article focuses on the physiology of the PCT,as well as on the physiopathology of FRST in children,its diagnosis,and *** FRST encompasses a wide variety of inherited and acquired PCT alterations that lead to impairment of PCT *** children,FRST often presents as a secondary feature of systemic disorders that impair energy supply,such as lowe's syndrome,Dent's disease,cystinosis,hereditary fructose intolerance,galactosemia,tyrosinemia,Alport syndrome,and Wilson's *** rare,congenital causes of FRST greatly impact the morbidity.and mortality of patients and impose diagnostic ***,its treatment is diverse and considers the ability of the clinician to identify the correct etiology of the *** The early diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients with FRST improve the prognosis and the quality of life.

A large Vaginal Bulge Might Not Be a Genital Prolapse

Vaginal tumors, whether benign or malignant, are rare. They include fibroepithelial polyps (FEPs), which are benign lesions originating in mesenchy.al cells, comprised of a core of connective tissue covered by squamous epithelium. They.are usually small and asymptomatic. When symptomatic or very large, they may cause bleeding, genital discomfort or the presence of a bulge in the vagina. In the last case, they may be mistaken for a genital prolapse. Although their physiopathology is still not clearly understood, the presence of hormonal receptors and the occurrence of FEPs during the use of hormone therapy or pregnancy suggest that changes in the stroma of these lesions may be induced by hormones. We report on the case of a patient who presented with a vaginal bulge and was referred to the urogynecology outpatient ward with a diagnosis of genital prolapse, which had actually.a large fibroepithelial polyp on the posterior vaginal wall.

Pyoderma gangrenosum is a rare ulcerative cutaneous disorder commonly.associated with systemic diseases such as inflammatory bowel diseases. This paper reports a case of pyoderma gangrenosum affecting the mouth and the skin associated with ulcerative colitis. A Medline search in English literature from 1961 to 2012 revealed only 11 documented cases of pyoderma gangrenosum with oral involvement. Previous reported cases of oral cavity involvement have shown that the most common sites of manifestation are the tongue, palate, and tonsillar fauces. This case emphasizes the importance of including inflammatory bowel diseases and their manifestations in the differential diagnosis of ulcerative lesions in the oral cavity.

Comparison of Interfacial and Foaming Properties of Soy.and Whey Protein Isolates

A comparative study on the foaming properties and behavior at the air-water interface of soy.and whey protein isolates were made, Foams were obtained by the method of gas bubbling. The initial rate of passage of liquid to the foam （vi） and the maximum volume of liquid incorporated to the foam （VlEmax） were determined. The destabilization process of the formed foams was analyzed by.a biphasic second order equation. Measurements of equilibrium surface tension （water/air） and surface rheological properties were carried out in a dy.amic drop tensiometer. The foaming capacity （vi and VlEmax） and the stability of foams prepared with the whey protein isolates （WPI） were better than those formulated with the soy protein isolates （SPI）. WPI foams were more stable showing the lower values of rate constants of gravity drainage and disproportion. There were significant differences （P 〈 0.05） in the dilatational modulus in the surface rheology measurements, which were higher at the interface with WPI, implying greater resistance of the film formed to collapse and disproportion. In conclusion, WPI formed better and more stable foams than the SPI.

Background: Accumulating reactive oxygen species (ROS) is involved in cellular signaling and function disturbances due to the oxidative stress, which contributes to several diseases. The consequences of ROS activity represent an im-portant mechanism on the pathogenesis of vascular diseases, such as hypertension. Increased blood pressure observed in renal hypertension of the 2 kidneys-1 clip (2K-1C) model involves increased ROS levels in the cardiovascular system. Resveratrol, a polyphenolic compound primarily found in red wine, has many biological and pharmacological proper-ties. Considering the antioxidant properties of resveratrol, the present study was aimed to investigate the effects of the chronic treatment with resveratrol on cardiovascular system from renal hypertensive rats. Results: 2K-1C hypertension presented increased blood pressure, which was reduced at the end of the fifth week of resveratrol treatment. The cardiac hypertrophy index and the basal levels of ROS in rat aortic rings were also reduced by resveratrol treatment. Conclusions: The present findings clearly show the protective effects from resveratrol on the blood pressure, the car-diac growth and the vascular ROS generation in renal hypertension.

Multimodal Stratified Approach for Prevention of Thromboembolism in Patients Undergoing Total Hip Arthroplasty

Objective: To demonstrate the efficacy.and safety of a multimodal stratified approach for prevention of thromboembolism in patients undergoing primary total hip arthroplasty. Method: A longitudinal retrospective clinical study of a cohort of 341 individuals undergoing total hip arthroplasty between March 2008 and July 2016. Of these, 242 patients met the criteria for inclusion in the study. Individuals with a history of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary thromboembolism, thrombophilia, hypercoagulation conditions, and chronic users of anticoagulants before surgery received enoxaparin at a dose of 40 mg/day for 21 days. For the other group, acetylsalicylic acid was prescribed at a dose of 200 mg/day for 30 days. All patients had surgical risk assessed by the American Anesthesiology.association classified as I or II, and underwent regional anesthesia, effective hydration, the same protocol of early postoperative rehabilitation, and the use of compression stockings. Drug cost analysis was performed based on the Brasíndice. To date, there are no publications in PubMed and Scielo on this subject regarding the Brazilian population. Results: The need for blood transfusion in the enoxaparin group was higher and the overall complication and hemorrhagic rates were also significantly higher (p less than enoxaparin. Conclusion: In patients without predisposing factors to thromboembolism and undergoing primary total hip arthroplasty, the multimodal approach with acetylsalicylic acid seems to be effective, with low cost and a low rate of complications.

Primary liver large B-Cell lymphoma: A Rare Diagnosis

Primary liver lymphoma is extremely rare, in most of cases it is a B cell lymphoma. Usually the diagnosis is made in middle-aged individuals and most of them have a relatively short life expectancy. In this article, the authors present a case report of a 75-y.ar-old woman with symptoms of three weeks of evolution of diffuse abdominal pain, asthenia and anorexia. The analysis showed cyto cholestasis and the radiological image with lush hepatomegaly because of a large hepatic mass. The patient started chemotherapy.and actually is well twenty months after the end of the chemotherapy.
