Several image-based biomedical diagnoses require high-resolution imaging capabilities at large spatial ***,conventional microscopes exhibit an inherent trade-off between depth-of-field(doF)and spatial resolution,and thus require objects to be refocused at each lateral location,which is time ***,we present a computational imaging platform,termed E2E-BPF microscope,which enables large-area,high-resolution imaging of large-scale objects without serial *** method involves a physics-incorporated,deep-learned design of binary phase filter(BPF)and jointly optimized deconvolution neural network,which altogether produces high-resolution,high-contrast images over extended depth *** demonstrate the method through numerical simulations and experiments with fluorescently labeled beads,cells and tissue section,and present high-resolution imaging capability over a 15.5-fold larger doF than the conventional *** method provides highly effective and scalable strategy for doF-extended optical imaging system,and is expected to find numerous applications in rapid image-based diagnosis,optical vision,and metrology.

The ***-0.5Zr alloy showed higher hardness compared with Mg-3.6Y-0.5Zr alloy.

The formation mechanism of calcareous deposit films in seawater involves an increase in pH at the metal/solution interface due to cathodic reactions, a raised carbonate ion concentration at the interface and precipitation of inorganic deposits such as CaCO3, Mg(OH)2. Environmentally friendly hybrid calcareous deposit films were formed by an electrochemical technique on steel substrates in various solution environments. And the influence of dissolved gas on formation of calcareous deposit films was investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) and X-ray diffractometry(XRD). Consequently, these results showed that formation of good overall calcareous deposited films by dissolved gas in seawater environments can be achieved by controlling the material composition and structure through effective use of electrochemical method.

IZO films were deposited onto PET substrate at room temperature with the inclined opposite target type DC magnetron sputtering equipment,in which a sintered oxide IZO target(doped with 10% ZnO,packing density of 99.99%) was *** effects of total sputtering pressure and film thickness on IZO films properties were *** the films produced at room temperature have a amorphous structure,irrespective of the total sputtering pressure and film thickness.A resistivity of the order of 10-4 Ωcm was obtained for IZO films deposited at lower pressure(film thickness of 190 nm).The resistivity of IZO films deposited at room temperature depends on film thickness and shows a minimum at a thickness of 530 nm.

AIM To evaluate the use of fully covered self-expandable metal stents(FCSEMSs) for pancreatic duct strictures in children with chronic *** Eight patients with refractory benign dominant stricture of the main pancreatic duct(MPD) were enrolled through chart reviews between December 2014 and June 2017 in a single center. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) with placement of a 6-mm FCSEMS with dual flaps was performed. Endoscopic removal of FCSEMSs was performed with a snare or rat-tooth forceps. All procedures were performed by a pediatric gastroenterologist. For the assessment of outcomes, technical and clinical success, adverse events, and stent patency were evaluated *** The placement and removal of the FCSEMSs were successful in all 8 patients. Five patients were boys and 3 were girls. The median age at initial FCSEMS placement was 12 years(range, 5-18 years). The diameters of all the inserted stents were 6 mm, and the lengths were 4-7 cm. The median indwelling time was 6 mo(range, 3-10 mo). No pancreatic sepsis, pancreatitis, cholestasis, or mortality occurred. There was no proximal and distal migration. All subjects showed a patent stent. On follow-up ERCP, the mean diameter of the stricture improved from 1.1 mm to 2.8 mm(P < 0.05), whereas that of upstream dilation improved from 8.4 mm to 6.3 mm(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION This initial experience showed that temporary FCSEMS placement is feasible and safe for the management of refractory benign MPD stricture in children.

The liner of a CNG pressure vessel is manufactured by a DDI(deep drawing and ironing)process for the cylinder part,which is a continuous process that includes a drawing process to reduce the diameter of the billet and a subsequent ironing process to reduce the thickness of the billet.A tractrix die used in the 1^(st) deep drawing allows the blank to flow smoothly by decreasing the punch load and radial tensile stress occurring in the *** also increases the draw ratio compared to conventional dies,but it causes forming *** this study,a shape coefficient(S_(c))is proposed for the tractrix die using the blank diameter(D_(0)),inflow diameter of the workpiece(d_(i)),and inflow angle of the workpiece(θ)for design of the tractrix *** effects of the thickness and inflow angle of the workpiece on wrinkling and folding were investigated through ***,a discriminant is proposed for the relative radial stress(σ)generated during the deep drawing process using the tractirx die and used to predict *** on the results,the blank thickness,the draw ratio,and the inflow of the workpiece angle in the 1^(st) deep drawing process are suggested,and the number of operations in the DDI process was reduced from 6 to *** improves the productivity and reduces the manufacturing cost.
