In Decentralized Machine Learning(DML)systems,system participants contribute their resources to assist others in developing machine learning *** malicious contributions in DML systems is challenging,which has led to the exploration of blockchain *** leverages its transparency and immutability to record the provenance and reliability of training ***,storing massive datasets or implementing model evaluation processes on smart contracts incurs high computational ***,current research on preventing malicious contributions in DML systems primarily focuses on protecting models from being exploited by workers who contribute incorrect or misleading ***,less attention has been paid to the scenario where malicious requesters intentionally manipulate test data during evaluation to gain an unfair *** paper proposes a transparent and accountable training data sharing method that securely shares data among potentially malicious system ***,we introduce a blockchain-based DML system architecture that supports secure training data sharing through the IPFS ***,we design a blockchain smart contract to transparently split training datasets into training and test datasets,respectively,without involving system *** the system,transparent and accountable training data sharing can be achieved with attribute-based proxy *** demonstrate the security analysis for the system,and conduct experiments on the Ethereum and IPFS platforms to show the feasibility and practicality of the system.

Dear Editor,Flowering is a major developmental switch in the life cycle of flowering plants. FRIGIDA （FRI） activates FLOwERING LOCUS C （FLC） transcription, a major repressor of this switch regulating flow- ering time （Johanson et al., 2000）. FRI is highly conserved and many natural variations in FRI are found to affect flowering time. However, little is known about the molecular characteristics of FRI.

BACKGROUND Self-expandable metallic stent(SEMS)is widely used for malignant colorectal ***,SEMS has been used for palliative option for colorectal obstruction caused by extracolonic malignancy(ECM).AIM To evaluate the efficacy of SEMS for colorectal obstruction caused by ECM,and to identify the factors associated with stent *** Seventy-two patients who were treated with uncovered SEMS insertion for malignant colorectal obstructions caused by colorectal metastasis or peritoneal seeding of ECM at Samsung Medical Center between April 2012 to March 2016 were *** analyzed technical and clinical outcomes of stent insertion,the factors associated with stent occlusion and long term outcomes after stent *** Technical success rate was determined as 90.3%with a clinical success rate of 87.7%.Stent occlusion developed in 28.1%,with a median duration of 51 ***,81.3%with stent occlusion could be treated with secondary stent *** failure was observed to be related to the male sex(P=0.020)and right colon obstruction(P=0.017).Stent length≤10 cm was found to be associated with stent occlusion(P=0.003).Median survival time after stent insertion was 4.7 mo and 40.4%were able to receive their oncological treatments after stent insertion without *** Uncovered SEMS is effective for the treatment of colorectal obstruction caused by ECM,considering life expectancy of patients with ECM.

Atomically‐dispersed copper sites coordinated with nitrogen‐doped carbon(Cu–N–C)can provide novel possibilities to enable highly selective and active electrochemical CO_(2) reduction ***,the construction of optimal local electronic structures for nitrogen‐coordinated Cu sites(Cu–N_(4))on carbon remains ***,we synthesized the Cu–N–C catalysts with atomically‐dispersed edge‐hosted Cu–N_(4) sites(Cu–N_(4)C_(8))located in a micropore between two graphitic sheets via a facile method to control the concentration of metal ***‐hosted Cu–N_(4)C_(8) catalysts outperformed the previously reported M–N–C catalysts for CO_(2)‐to‐CO conversion,achieving a maximum CO Faradaic efficiency(FECO)of 96%,a CO current density of–8.97 mA cm^(–2) at–0.8 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE),and over FECO of 90%from–0.6 to–1.0 V versus *** studies revealed that the micropore of the graphitic layer in edge‐hosted Cu–N_(4)C_(8) sites causes the d‐orbital energy level of the Cu atom to shift upward,which in return decreases the occupancy of antibonding states in the*COOH *** research suggests new insights into tailoring the locally coordinated structure of the electrocatalyst at the atomic scale to achieve highly selective electrocatalytic reactions.

AIM: To determine whether gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms are more frequent in type 2 diabetic patients and to examine which diabetic factors are associated with the symptoms. METHODS: Consecutive subjects with diabetes and age-/gender-matched normal controls were recruited for this study. GI symptoms were assessed using a structured questionnaire divided into two GI symptomcategories (upper and lower GI symptoms), and consisting of 11 individual symptoms. In the diabetic patient group, diabetic complications including peripheral neuropathy, nephropathy and retinopathy, glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) level and diabetes duration were evaluated. RESULTS: Among the total 190 diabetic patients and 190 controls enrolled, 137 (72%) of the diabetic patients and 116 (62%) of the controls had GI symptoms. In the diabetic patient group, 83 (43%) had upper GI symptoms and 110 (58%) lower GI symptoms; in the control group, 59 (31%) had upper GI symptoms and 104 (55%) lower GI symptoms. This difference between the two groups was significant for only the upper GI symptoms (P = 0.02). Among the diabetic factors, the HbA1c level was the only independent risk factor for upper GI symptoms in the multiple logistic regression analysis (odds ratio = 2.01, 95% confidence interval: 1.02-3.95). CONCLUSION: Type 2 diabetes was associated with an increased prevalence of upper GI symptoms and these symptoms appeared to be independently linked to poor glycemic control, as measured by the HbA1c levels.

AIM:To investigate the changes in renal function at 12-24 mo in patients following sodium phosphate(NaP) preparation for screening ***:we carried out a retrospective study on the results from patients who received health check-up services as part of an employer-provided wellness program performed between August 2006 and May 2008 and who were followed up for 12-24 *** to screening colonoscopy,224 patients underwent bowel cleansing with NaP(NaP group) and 113 patients with polyethylene glycol(PEG group).The control group comprised 672 age-matched *** compared the changes in the creatinine levels and the glomerular filtration rates(GFRs) from baseline to 12-24 mo between the NaP,PEG,and control groups using two-way repeated measured analysis of *** addition,multivariate linear regression analysis was performed to assess the risk factors for a decreased ***:The baseline mean serum creatinine level in the NaP,PEG,and control groups was 1.12 ± 0.15,1.12 ± 0.16,and 1.12 ± 0.15 mg/dL,which increased to 1.15 ± 0.15,1.15 ± 0.18,and 1.15 ± 0.15 mg/dL,respectively,after 12-24 *** baseline mean GFR in the NaP,PEG,and control groups was 69.0 ± 7.7,68.9 ± 8.0,and 69.6 ± 6.7 mL/min per 1.73 m2,which decreased to 66.5 ± 7.8,66.5 ± 8.3,and 67.4 ± 6.4 mL/min per 1.73 m2,respectively,after 12-24 *** changes in serum creatinine levels and GFRs were not significantly between the NaP,PEG,and control groups(P = 0.992 and P = 0.233,respectively).Using multivariate linear regression analysis,only the baseline GFR was associated with the change in GFR(P wel preparations were not associated with the change in GFR(P = 0.297).CONCLUSION:NaP bowel preparation in subjects with normal renal function was not associated with renal injury,and NaP can thus be used safely for screening colonoscopy.

Increasing demand for real-time healthcare monitoring is leading to advances in thin and flexible optoelectronic device-based wearable pulse *** previous studies have used OLEDs for this purpose,but did not consider the side effects of broad full-width half-maximum(FwHM)characteristics and single *** this study,we performed SpO_(2)measurement using a fiber-based quantum-dot pulse oximetry(FQPO)system capable of mass production with a transferable encapsulation technique,and a narrow FwHM of about 30 *** on analyses we determined that uniform angular narrow FwHM-based light sources are important for accurate SpO_(2)measurements through multi-layer structures and human skin *** FQPO was shown to have improved photoplethysmogram(PPG)signal sensitivity with no waveguide-mode noise signal,as is typically generated when using a single substrate(30–50%).we successfully demonstrate improved SpO_(2)measurement accuracy as well as all-in-one clothing-type pulse oximetry with FQPO.
