A study was undertaken for the prediction of runoff flow from 0.8 ha field-sized agricultural watershed in South Korea using Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) sub-daily. The SWAT model with sub-daily configuration predicted flow from the watershed within the range of acceptable accuracy. The SWAT sub-daily simulations were carried out for a total of 18 rainfall events, 9 each for calibration and validation. Overall trend and extent of matching simulated flow for the rainfall events in 2007-2008 with measured data during the calibration process were coefficient of determination ( ) value of 0.88 and Nash and Sutcliffe Efficiency ( ) value of 0.88. For validation, and values were 0.9 and 0.84, respectively. Whereas and values for simulation results using daily rainfall data were 0.79 and -0.01, respectively, that were observed to be out of acceptable limits for the model simulation. The importance of higher time resolution (hourly) precipitation records for flow simulation were evaluated by comparing and with 15 min, 2 h, 6 h and 12 h precipitation data, which resulted in lower statistics with increases in time resolution of precipitation data. The SWAT sub-daily sensitivity analysis was performed with the consideration of hydraulic parameter and was found as in the rank order of CN2 (curve number), ESCO (soil evaporation compensation factor), GW_DELAY (ground water delay time), ALPHA_BF ( base flow alpha factor), GWQMN ( a threshold minimum depth of water in the shallow aquifer required for return flow to occur) , REVAPMN (minimum depth of water in shallow aquifer for re-evaporation to occur) , LAT_TIME (lateral flow travel time) respectively. These sensitive parameters were evaluated at 10% higher and lower values of the parameters, corresponding to 70.5% higher and 23.2% lower in simulated flow out from the SWAT model. Graphene quantum dots （GQDs） are promising candidates for potential applications such as novel optoelectronic devices and bio-imaging. However, insufficient light absorption to exhibit their intriguing characteristics. The strong confinement of light caused by the Au nanoparticles as an antenna can considerably boost the light absorption. With the assistance of ultraviolet irradiation, we prepared bluish-green luminescent nanospheres by the hybridiza- tion of GQD and Au nanoparticles （GQD/Au）. These nanospheres showed a photoluminescence quantum yield of up to 26.9%. The GQD/Au nanospheres were synthesized using a solution of GQDs and HAuC14 by a photochemical method with the reduction of GQDs and the formation of metallic Au. The GQDs and Au nanopartides self-assembled and aggregated into nanospheres via aurophilicity and hydrogen bonding interactions. The average size of the GQD/Au nanospheres was found to be in the range of 150-170 nm, which is much larger than that of the pristine GQDs （4-7 nm）. The GQD/Au nanospheres exhibited an absorption band at 541 nm, which indicates the presence of Au in the nanospheres. The typical absorbance features of GQDs were observed near 236 and 303 nrn. The photoluminescence characteristics were investigated using the excitation and emission spectra. The GQD/Au nanospheres exhibited two emission peaks at 468 and 529 nm in the visible range. The green fluorescent peak located at 529 nm was newly generated by the hybridization. The GQD/Au nanospheres showed an emission efficiency which was two times more than that of the intrinsic GQDs. The reason for this increase was the surface plasmon resonance from the Au particles, which improved the fluorescence property of the resulting nanospheres. These nanospheres can be perceived as outstanding candidates for applications such as displays, optoelectronic devices, and imaging of the biological samples with high emission intensity.

Acceleration histories of each measurement location under normal traffic are recorded for 30 minutes at *** recor- ded histories are divided into individual vibrations and are combined into two groups aceording to the level of vibration;one by heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses and the other by light vehicles such as passenger *** processing of the two groups of signals shows that,for the middle and long-span bridges,the difference can be hardly detected,but,for the short span bridges whose mass is relatively small,the measured natural frequencies can change up to 5.4%.

BACKGROUND Transcatheter arterial embolization(TAE)has been widely used as an effective and a safe treatment method and was often used as an alternative to the surgical management,but there are limited studies on the efficacy and the safety for patients undergoing their secondary postpartum hemorrhage(PPH).AIM To evaluate the usefulness of TAE for secondary PPH focusing on the angiographic *** We conducted a research from January 2008 to July 2022 on all 83 patients(mean:32 years,range:24-43 years)presented with secondary PPH and they were treated with TAE in two university *** medical records and angiography were retrospective reviewed in order to evaluate the patients’characteristics,delivery details,clinical status and peri-embolization management,angiography and embolization details,technical/clinical success and *** group with active bleeding sign and the group without it were also compared and *** On angiography,46(55.4%)patients showed active bleeding signs such as contrast extravasation(n=37)or pseudoaneurysm(n=8)or both(n=1),and 37(44.6%)patients showed non-active bleeding signs such as only spastic uterine artery(n=2)or hyperemia(n=35).In the active bleeding sign group there were more multiparous patients,low platelet count,prothrombin time prolongation,and high transfusion *** technical success rates were 97.8%(45/46)in active bleeding sign group and 91.9%(34/37)in non-active bleeding sign group,and the overall clinical success rates were 95.7%(44/46)and 97.3%(36/37).An uterine rupture with peritonitis and abscess formation occurred to one patient after the embolization,therefore hysterostomy and retained placenta removal were performed which was a major *** TAE is an effective and a safe treatment method for controlling secondary PPH regardless of angiographic findings.

AIM:To investigate the efficacy of hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy(HAIC) using floxuridine(FUDR) in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) confined to the ***:Thirty-four patients who had advanced HCC with unresectability or unsuccessful previous therapy in the absence of extrahepatic metastasis were treated with intra-arterial FUDR chemotherapy at ourhospital between March 2005 and May *** the 34 patients,9 patients were classified as Child class C,and 18 patients had portal vein tumor thrombus(PVTT).One course of chemotherapy consisted of continuous infusion of FUDR(0.3 mg/kg during day 1-14) and dexamethasone(10 mg on day 1,4,7 and 11),and this treatment was repeated every 28 ***:Two patients(5.9%) displayed a complete response,and 12 patients(35.3%) had a partial *** tumor control rate was 61.8%.The median overall survival times were 15.3 mo,12.4 mo and 4.3 mo for the patients who were classified as Child class A,Child class B and Child class C,respectively(P = 0.0392).The progression-free survival was 12.9 mo,7.7 mo and 2.6 mo for the patients who were classified as Child class A,Child class B and Child class C,respectively(P = 0.0443).The cumulative survival differed significantly according to the Child-Pugh classification and the presence of *** addition to hepatic reserve capacity and PVTT,the extent of HCC was an independent factor in determining a poor *** most common adverse reactions to HAIC were mucositis,diarrhea and peptic ulcer disease,but most of these complications were improved by medical treatment and/or a delay of ***:The present study demonstrates that intra-arterial FUDR chemotherapy is a safe and effective treatment for advanced HCC that is recalcitrant to other therapeutic modalities,even in patients with advanced cirrhosis.
