Infectious complications are major causes of morbidity and mortality after liver transplantation,despite recent advances in the transplant ***,fungi,viruses and parasites can cause infection before and after *** them,bacterial infections are predominant during the first two months posttransplantation and affect patient and graft *** might cause surgical site infections,including deep intra-abdominal infections,bacteremia,pneumonia,catheter-related infections and urinary tract *** risk factors for bacterial infections differ between the periods after transplant,and between ***,the emergence of multi-drug resistant bacteria is great concern in liver transplant(LT)*** instructive data about effects of infections with extended-spectrum beta lactamase producing bacteria,carbapenem-resistant gram-negative bacteria,and glycopeptide-resistant gram-positive bacteria were reported on a center-by-center *** prevent posttransplant bacterial infections,proper strategies need to be established based upon center-specific data and evidence from well-controlled *** article reviewed the recent epidemiological data,risk factors for each type of infections and important clinical issues in bacterial infection after LT.

This study investigates the microstructural characteristics of AZ31 Mg alloys rolled at room temperature(RT)and cryogenic temperature(CT)and the variation in their microstructure and hardness during subsequent *** induces the formation of more side cracks than does RT rolling,because of the reduction in the ability of the material to accommodate deformation at ***{10-11}contraction and{10-11}-{10-12}double twins are formed in both the material rolled at RT and that rolled at CT,because the grains of the initial material are favorably oriented for{10-11}twinning under *** RT-rolled material has a higher dislocation density than the cryorolled material,and more twins are uniformly distributed throughout the former *** a result,static recrystallization during subsequent annealing is more pronounced in the RT-rolled material,which results in the formation of a highly recrystallized homogeneous microstructure after *** contrast,the formed twins are predominantly present along the shear bands in the cryorolled material,as a result of which this material has an inhomogeneous bi modal structure containing a large amount of coarse unrecrystallized grains after *** hardness of the annealed RT-rolled material is higher than that of the annealed cryorolled material owing to the finer grain structure of the former.

α-Glucosidase inhibitors are used therapeutically to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus. Through a bioassay-guided fractionation technique, three carotenoids,(all-E)-lutein,(all-E)-zeaxanthin and(9-Z)-zeaxanthin, were purified from the green alga Chlorella ellipsoidea, in which(all-E)-lutein and(9-Z)-zeaxanthin had potent α-glucosidase inhibitory activity. IC_(50) values of(all-E)-lutein and(9-Z)-zeaxanthin were 70 and 53.5 μmol L^(-1) against Saccharomyces cerevisiae α-glucosidase, respectively, with non-competitive inhibition. In addition, IC_(50) values of(9-Z)-zeaxanthin against Bacillus stearothermophilus and rat-intestinal α-glucosidase were 805.1 and 671.2 μmol L^(-1), respectively. The K_i values of(all-E)-lutein and(9-Z)-zeaxanthin against S. cerevisiae α-glucosidase were 78.1 and 16.5 μmol L^(-1), respectively. Therefore, C. ellipsoidea carotenoids might be utilized as a novel candidate to prevent type-2 diabetes mellitus related disorders in food and medical industry.

Artificial intelligence technologies are being studied to provide scientific evidence in the medical field and developed for use as diagnostic *** study focused on deep learning models to classify degenerative arthritis into Kellgren–Lawrence ***,degenerative arthritis was assessed by X-ray radiographic images and classified into five ***,the use of various deep learning models was investigated for automating the degenerative arthritis classification *** research on the classification of osteoarthritis using deep learning has been conducted in previous studies,only local models have been used,and an ensemble of deep learning models has never been applied to obtain more accurate *** address this issue,this study compared the classification performance of deep learning models,includingVGGNet,DenseNet,ResNet,TinyNet,EfficientNet,MobileNet,Xception,and ViT,on a dataset commonly used for osteoarthritis classification *** experimental results verified that even without applying a separate methodology,the performance of the ensemble was comparable to that of existing studies that only used the latest deep learning model and changed the learning *** the trained models,two ensembles were created and evaluated:weight and *** weight ensemble showed an improvement in accuracy of 1%,and the proposed specialist ensemble improved accuracy,precision,recall,and F1 score by 5%,6%,6%,and 6%,respectively,compared with the results of prior studies.

This paper studies the discrete minus one norm least-squares methods for the stress formulation of pure displacement linear elasticity in two dimensions. The proposed least-squares functional is defined as the sum of the L2- and H-1-norms of the residual equations weighted appropriately. The minus one norm in the functional is replaced by the discrete minus one norm and then the discrete minus one norm least-squares methods are analyzed with various numerical results focusing on the finite element accuracy and multigrid convergence performances.
