An advanced 2D/3D g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2)@MnO_(2) multifunctional membrane for sunlight-driven sustainable water purification

Graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))nanosheets have attracted widespread interest in the construction of advanced separation ***,dense stacking and a single functionality have limited the membrane ***,an advanced two-/three-dimensional(2D/3D)g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2)@MnO_(2) membrane is constructed by intercalating 3D TiO_(2)@MnO_(2) nanostructures into g-C_(3)N_(4) *** 3D flower-like nanostructures broaden the transport channels of the composite *** membrane can effectively separate five oil-in-water(O/W)emulsions,with a maximum flux of 3265.67±15.01 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1)·bar^(-1) and a maximum efficiency of 99.69%±0.45%for toluene-in-water emulsion(T/W).Meanwhile,the TiO_(2)@MnO_(2) acts as an excellent electron acceptor and provides positive spatial separation of electrons–holes(e^(-)–h^(+)).The formation of 2D/3D heterojunctions allows the material with wider light absorption and smaller bandgap(2.10 eV).These photoelectric properties give the membrane good degradation of three different pollutants,with about 100%degradation for methylene blue(MB)and malachite green(MG).The photocatalytic antibacterial efficiency of the membrane is also about 100%.After cyclic experiment,the membrane maintains its original separation and photocatalytic *** remarkable multifunctional and self-cleaning properties of the g-C_(3)N_(4) based membrane represent its potential value for complex wastewater treatment.

Evaluation of COVID-19 outbreak prevention and control in Beijing using the emergency management theory

On April 29,2020,China entered a normalization stage of prevention and *** December 2021,more than 40 outbreaks had occurred in China,which reflected the shortcomings of the pandemic prevention and control measures in China at that *** the capital city of China,Beijing faces more pressure in epidemic prevention and *** used the COVID-19 cluster containment evaluation indicators to determine the effects of prevention and control measures on four COVID-19 outbreaks in *** considering the specificity and operability of evaluation indicators and the availability of evaluation data,the evaluation system in our study consisted of six dimensions:epidemic prevention and control effect,discovery and detection ability,precision prevention and control capability,public protection effect,medical treatment and nosocomial infection prevention and control ability,and information release and public opinion response *** composite scores of the prevention and control effects of the Xinfadi,Shunyi,Daxing,and Ejina Banner–associated COVID-19 outbreaks in Beijing were 62,82,87,and 76,*** the six dimensions,the epidemic prevention and control effect,discovery and detection ability,precision prevention and control capability,and public protection effect scores for the Xinfadi outbreak were lower than those for the Shunyi,Daxing and Ejina Banner–associated *** medical treatment and nosocomial infection prevention and control ability scores for the outbreak associated with Ejina Banner were lower than those for the Xinfadi,Shunyi,and Daxing *** managing cluster outbreaks,Beijing was able to detect index cases early enough to reduce the scale and duration of the outbreak and consistently release official information to reduce public panic,standardize the management of centralized quarantine sites to prevent cross-infection,adhere to the“dynamic COVID‐zero”strategy to accurately prevent and control outbreaks,reduce the societa

Predictability of the 7·20 extreme rainstorm in Zhengzhou in stochastic kinetic-energy backscatter ensembles

The scale-dependent predictability of the devastating 7·20 extreme rainstorm in Zhengzhou,China in 2021 was investigated via ensemble experiments,which were perturbed on different scales using the stochastic kinetic-energy backscatter(SKEB)scheme in the WRF model,with the innermost domain having a 3-km grid *** daily rainfall(RAIN24h)and the cloudburst during 1600-1700 LST(RAIN1h)were *** demonstrated that with larger perturbation scales,the ensemble spread for the rainfall maximum widens and rainfall forecasts become closer to the *** ensembles with mesoscale or convective-scale perturbations,RAIN1h loses predictability at scales smaller than 20 km and RAIN24h is predictable for all *** in ensembles with synoptic-scale perturbations,the largest scale of predictability loss extends to 60 km for both RAIN1h and ***,the average positional error in forecasting the heaviest rainfall for RAIN24h(RAIN1h)was 400 km(50-60)*** southerly low-level jet near Zhengzhou was assumed to be directly responsible for the forecast uncertainty of *** rapid intensification in low-level cyclonic vorticity,mid-level divergence,and upward motion concomitant with the jet dynamically facilitated the *** analysis of the divergent,rotational and vertical kinetic spectra and the corresponding error spectra showed that the error kinetic energy at smaller scales grows faster than that at larger scales and saturates more quickly in all ***-scale perturbations not only boost larger-scale error growth but are also conducive to error growth at all scales through a downscale cascade,which indicates that improving the accuracy of larger-scale flow forecast may discernibly contributes to the forecast of cloudburst intensity and position.

The denoising of microseismic signals is a prerequisite for subsequent analysis and *** this research,a new microseismic signal denoising algorithm called the Black Widow Optimization Algorithm(BWOA)optimized VariationalMode Decomposition(VMD)jointWavelet Threshold Denoising(WTD)algorithm(BVW)is *** BVW algorithm integrates VMD and WTD,both of which are optimized by ***,this algorithm utilizes VMD to decompose the microseismic signal to be denoised into several Band-Limited IntrinsicMode Functions(BLIMFs).Subsequently,these BLIMFs whose correlation coefficients with the microseismic signal to be denoised are higher than a threshold are selected as the effective mode functions,and the effective mode functions are denoised using WTD to filter out the residual low-and intermediate-frequency ***,the denoised microseismic signal is obtained through *** ideal values of VMD parameters and WTD parameters are acquired by searching with BWOA to achieve the best VMD decomposition performance and solve the problem of relying on experience and requiring a large workload in the application of the WTD *** outcomes of simulated experiments indicate that this algorithm is capable of achieving good denoising performance under noise of different intensities,and the denoising performance is significantly better than the commonly used VMD and Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD)*** BVW algorithm is more efficient in filtering noise,the waveform after denoising is smoother,the amplitude of the waveform is the closest to the original signal,and the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)and the root mean square error after denoising are more *** case based on Fankou Lead-Zinc mine shows that for microseismic signals with different intensities of noise monitored on-site,compared with VMD and EMD,the BVW algorithm ismore efficient in filtering noise,and the SNR after denoising is higher.

Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome phlebovirus(SFTSV)has a wide host *** only has it been found in humans,but also in many wild and domesticated *** infection of breeding deer on farms is a particularly worrisome public health concern due to the large amount of human contact and the diverse use of deer products,including raw *** investigate the prevalence of breeding domesticated deer,we examined the SFTSV infection rate on deer farms in South Korea from 2015 to *** the 215 collected blood samples,0.9%(2/215)were found to be positive for viral RNA by PCR,and sequence analysis showed the highest homology with the KADGH human *** SFTSVspecific recombinant N and Gn protein-based ELIS As revealed that 14.0%(30/215)and 7.9%(17/215)of collected blood specimens were positive for SFTSV *** results demonstrate that the breeding farm deer are exposed to SFTSV and could be a potential infection source for humans through direct contact or consumption of byproducts.

Surface vitrification of carbon by laser treatment: Insights of glass formation from molecular dynamics

Microstructural modification of carbon materials,such as carbon fibers(Cf)and pyrolytically deposited carbon,is important for engineering ***,the regulation of these materials is not an effortless *** understand the impacts of thermal spikes from pulsed laser processing on the structural adaptation of amorphous carbon(a-C),we performed melt quenching by molecular dynamics(MD)*** results confirm that the vitrification behavior of carbon can be tuned by adjusting the cooling rate(R),which is controlled by the thermal spikes of laser ***,we set up a two-step way to locate the critical cooling rate(R_(c))of monoatomic carbon,which is refined by the sharp change in the environmental similarity *** this novel technique,we demonstrate that the ordering degree and the local atomic motif can be largely modified by going across a bar of 100 K/ps,which is extracted as the critical cooling rate to ensure the complete amorphization of *** approach provides a criterion for both experimentally processing and theoretically simulating a-C ***,this work provides guidelines on how to tune the amorphous carbon structures of engineering materials and provides an outlook for the wonderland of amorphous carbon materials.

Efficient stochastic parallel gradient descent training for on-chip optical processor

In recent years,space-division multiplexing(SDM)technology,which involves transmitting data information on multiple parallel channels for efficient capacity scaling,has been widely used in fiber and free-space optical communication *** enable flexible data management and cope with the mixing between different channels,the integrated reconfig-urable optical processor is used for optical switching and mitigating the channel ***,efficient online train-ing becomes intricate and challenging,particularly when dealing with a significant number of *** we use the stochastic parallel gradient descent(SPGD)algorithm to configure the integrated optical processor,which has less com-putation than the traditional gradient descent(GD)*** design and fabricate a 6×6 on-chip optical processor on silicon platform to implement optical switching and descrambling assisted by the online training with the SPDG ***,we apply the on-chip processor configured by the SPGD algorithm to optical communications for optical switching and efficiently mitigating the channel crosstalk in SDM *** comparison with the traditional GD al-gorithm,it is found that the SPGD algorithm features better performance especially when the scale of matrix is large,which means it has the potential to optimize large-scale optical matrix computation acceleration chips.
