Iron-based superconductor family FeX(X=S,Se,Te)has been one of the research foci in physics and material science due to their record-breaking superconducting temperature(FeSe film)and rich physical ***,FeS,the least studied Fe X compound(due to the difficulty in synthesizing high quality macroscopic crystals)attracted much attention because of its puzzling superconducting pairing *** this work,combining scanning tunneling microscopy and angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy(ARPES)with sub-micron spatial resolution,we investigate the intrinsic electronic structures of superconducting FeS from individual single crystalline *** FeTe or FeSe,FeS remains identical tetragonal structure from room temperature down to 5 K,and the band structures observed can be well reproduced by our ab-initio ***,mixed with the 1×1 tetragonal metallic phase,we also observe the coexistence of √5×√5 reconstructed insulating phase in the crystal,which not only helps explain the unusual properties of FeS,but also demonstrates the importance of using spatially resolved experimental tools in the study of this compound.

BACKGROUND： Manganese （Mn） and iron （Fe） are the primary elements of welding rods. Mn has been shown to increase prolactin （PRL） production by decreasing dopamine （DA） levels in the hypothalamus. However, Fe increases DA levels and decreases PRL levels. The toxic mechanism of Mn and Fe co-inhalation-induced regulation of the hypothalamic-hypophyseal-pituitary axis remains unclear. OBJECTIVE： To evaluate the effects of co-inhaled Mn and Fe on hypothalamic DA levels and pituitary PRL production, to investigate whether these changes are reversible, and to determine the role of co-inhaled Mn and Fe. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： A randomized, controlled, animal experiment based on inhalation toxicity via whole-body exposure was performed. Hypothalamic DA levels, serum PRL, and PRL and PiN mRNA levels were analyzed at the Institute of Environmental and Occupational Medicine, Inje University, Busan, Korea, from August 2007 to May 2009. MATERIALS： MnSO4 and FeSO4 were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich, St. Louis, mo, USA. High-performance liquid chromatography （HPLC） using an electrochemical detector （ECD） was purchased from Waters Corporation, Milford, MA, USA. mRNA Capture Kit and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） kit were obtained from Roche molecular Biochemicals, Mannheim, Germany and Perkin-Elmer, Wellesley, MA, USA, respectively. Rat PRL enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit was purchased from Biocode Hycel, Liege, Belgium. METHODS： Eighty 15-week-old, male, Fischer 344 rats were assigned to two groups： one group treated with Mn and Fe and a control group. Each group was sub-divided into four groups on the basis of treatment period （0- and 13-week treated groups with both chemicals） and recovery periods （4- and 13-week recovery groups following 13-week exposure to both chemicals）. The treatment condition was 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, for the entire body. Mn and Fe co-inhalation concentrations were 1.5 mg/m3 and 3.0 mg/m3, respectively. MAIN OUT

Wind tunnel experiment and steady-state Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)approaches are used to examine the urban boundary layer(UBL)development above Kowloon Peninsula,Hong Kong Special Administrative Region(HKSAR).The detailed urban morphology is resolved by computational fluid dynamics(CFD)and is fabricated by 3D-printing(reduced scale)for wind tunnel *** from the majority existing results based on idealized,homogeneous urban geometries,it was found that the wind and turbulence in the UBL over downtown Kowloon are characterized by the wake behind several high-rise *** particular,local maxima of turbulence kinetic energy(TKE)and shear stress are found at the roof level of those high-rise *** the downstream region where the flows are already adjusted to the urban surfaces,the urban roughness sublayer(URSL)can be further divided into two layers based on the structures of the mixing length/m,effective drag Dx and dispersive *** the lower URSL(z<100 m),lm is rather uniform,and the Reynolds stress and dispersive stress are *** the upper URSL(100 m z s 300 m),on the contrary,lm is peaked at the mid-height and the magnitude of dispersive stress is smaller than that of the Reynolds stress(<30%).The effective drag Dx is negligible in the upper URSL.

Abstract This study was conducted to clarify the characteristics high-pressure water sprayer in the period from June 2010 to April 2011 of algal succession following rock scraping using hoe or We divided the research area off the eastern coast of Korean near Imwon into 3 categories depending upon the severity of the barren ground, i.e., the urchin barren-affected, urchin bar- ren-ongoing and urchin barren-free areas. In April 2011, in the urchin barren-affected area with 25 seaweed species, the cover per- centage and importance value （IV） of erustose coralline algae were higher than those of other species. In the urchin barren-ongoing area with 33 seaweed species, crustose coralline algae （mean IV=62%） as well as Sargassum sp. （mean IV=28%）, and Gelidium amansii （mean IV= 19%） were observed following rock scraping. In the urchin barren-free area where seaweed communities were relatively abundant with 42 species, a variety of algal species including G. amansii （mean IV = 32%） underwent algal succession. Overall, it was observed that, as an aspect of algal succession, the weaker the barren ground severity was, the more frequent and di- verse the seaweeds were, and the more complex the succession pattern was in the study. As an aspect of recovering algal community, rock scraping using hoe was shown to be superior to the method using high-pressure water spraying. Therefore, we conclude that rock scraping using hoe is a very effective strategy for recovering the algal community in urchin barren-ongoing area.

Our study retrospectively reviewed the surgical outcomes up to 3 mo of 38 consecutive Chinese glaucoma patients who underwent trabeculectomy（n=18） or phacotrabeculectomy（n=20）.Baseline age,visual acuity,and intraocular pressure were *** pressure from post-operative 1 d to 3 mo were similar between 2 *** success was achieved in 65% of phacotrabeculectomy,and 66.7% of trabeculectomy cases;while failure occurred in 16.7% of phacotrabeculectomy,and 10% of trabeculectomy cases at 3 *** group consistently showed better improvement in visual *** blebs occurred in 65% of phacotrabeculectomy and 83% of trabeculectomy eyes;and flat blebs in 35% of phacotrabeculectomy,but none after *** was more hypotony（5% vs 0） after *** conclude,phacotrabeculectomy and trabeculectomy demonstrated comparable intraocular pressure control up to 3 mo ***,phacotrabeculectomy patients had better visual acuity ***,more diffuse bleb and less hypotony were present following trabeculectomy.

The homeostatic balance between effector T cells and regulatory T cells(Tregs)is crucial for adaptive immunity;however,epigenetic programs that inhibit phosphorylation to regulate Treg development,peripheral expression,and suppressive activity are ***,we found that the Ssu72 phosphatase is activated by various T-cell receptor signaling pathways,including the T-cell receptor and IL-2R pathways,and localizes at the cell *** of Ssu72 in T cells disrupts CD4+T-cell differentiation into Tregs in the periphery via the production of high levels of the effector cytokines IL-2 and IFNγ,which induce CD4+T-cell activation and differentiation into effector cell *** also found a close correlation between downregulation of Ssu72 and severe defects in mucosal tolerance in ***,Ssu72 forms a complex with PLCγ1,which is an essential effector molecule for T-cell receptor signaling as well as Treg development and ***72 deficiency impairs PLCγ1 downstream signaling and results in failure of Foxp3 ***,our studies show that the Ssu72-mediated cytokine response coordinates the differentiation and function of Treg cells in the periphery.

A compact polymer–inorganic hybrid gas barrier nanolayer for flexible organic light-emitting diode displays

Atomic layer infiltration technology allows the formation of a nanometer-thick polymer-inorganic hybrid barrier layer in polymer material for flexible organic light-emitting diode(OLED)*** this study,according to transmission electron microscopy and secondary-ion mass spectrometry analysis results under various process conditions,a compact polymer-inorganic hybrid nanolayer was successfully formed in a polymer and good barrier performance was revealed with a low water vapor transmission rate under optimal process ***,through gas chromatography-mass spectrometry measurements after ultra-violet radiation testing,polymer out-gassing decreased compared to bare *** on barrier properties,the polymer with a polymer-inorganic hybrid barrier nanolayer was applied to a flexible OLED display as a *** storage tests and folding tests,the flexible OLED display exhibits good reliability and better flexibility compared to those with an inorganic barrier *** results confirm that the polymer-inorganic hybrid nanolayer is suitable for barrier layer formation in flexible OLED displays.

Objective:Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV)are common with doxorubicin-cyclophosphamide(AC)*** antiemetic regimens incorporate neurokinin-1 receptor antagonist(NK1 RA),5-hydroxytryptamine type-3 receptor antagonist(5 HT3 RA),corticosteroid,and dopamine *** post-hoc analysis compared results of 3 prospective antiemetic studies conducted among Chinese breast cancer patients who received(neo)adjuvant AC,in order to identify optimal antiemetic ***:A total of 304 patients were included:Group 1,ondansetron/dexamethasone(D1);Group 2,aprepitant/ondansetron/dexamethasone(D1);Group 3,aprepitant/ondansetron/dexamethasone(D1–3);Group 4,aprepitant/ondansetron/dexamethasone(D1–3)/olanzapine;and Group 5,netupitant/palonosetron/dexamethasone(D1–3).Antiemetic efficacies of Groups 3,4,and 5 during cycle 1 of AC were individually compared with Group *** addition,emesis outcomes of patients in Groups 3 and 5,and those of Groups 2 and 3,were ***:When comparing efficacies of a historical doublet(5 HT3 RA/dexamethasone)with triplet antiemetic regimens(NK1 RA/5 HT3 RA/dexamethasone)with/without olanzapine,complete response(CR)percentages and quality of life(QOL)in overall phase of cycle 1 AC were compared between Group 1 and the other groups:Group 1 vs.3,41.9%vs.38.3%(P=0.6849);Group 1 vs.4,41.9%vs.65.0%(P=0.0107);and Group 1 vs.5,41.9%vs.60.0%(P=0.0460).Groups 4 and 5 achieved a better *** comparing netupitant-based(Group 3)with aprepitant-based(Group 5)triplet antiemetics,CR percentages were 38.3%vs.60.0%,respectively(P=0.0176);Group 5 achieved a better *** comparing 1 day(Group 2)vs.3 day(Group 3)dexamethasone,CR percentages were 46.8%and 38.3%,respectively(P=0.3459);Group 3 had a worse ***:Aprepitant-containing triplets were non-superior to doublet ***-containing triplets and adding olanzapine to aprepitant-containing triplets were superior to ***/palono

A symposium on pattern identification（PI）was held at the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine（KIOM）on October 2,2013,in Daejeon,South *** symposium was convened to provide information on the current research in PI as well as suggest future research *** participants discussed the nature of PI,possible research questions,strategies and future international collaborations in pattern *** eight presentations and an extensive panel discussion,the symposium allowed participants to discuss research methods in traditional medicine for *** speaker presented the topic,＇Clinical pattern differentiation and contemporary research in PI.＇Two speakers presented current trends in research on blood stasis while the remaining five other delegates discussed the research methods and future directions of PI *** participants engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the nature of PI,potential research questions,strategies and future international collaborations in pattern research.
