Scoping review update on somatic symptom disorder that includes additional Chinese data

Somatic symptom disorder(SSD)is a new diagnosis introduced into the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fifth Edition(DSM-5),which is expected to solve the diagnostic difficulties of patients with medically unexplained *** on the previous work,this review aims to comprehensively synthesise updated evidence related to SSD from recent years in English publications and,more extensively,from data published in Chinese language *** scoping review update was based on an earlier scoping review and included Chinese language publication data from China National Knowledge Internet(CNKI),WANFANG and WEIPU between January 2013 and May 2022 and data from PubMed,PsyclNFO,and Cochrane Library between June 2020 and May ***,2984 articles were identified,of which 63 full texts were included for *** China,SSD is mainly applied in scientific research,but it also shows good predictive validity and clinical application *** mean frequency of SSD was 4.5%in the general population,25.2%in the primary care population and 33.5%in diverse specialised care *** factors,such as brain region changes and heart rate variability,are associated with the onset of *** impairment related to somatic symptoms is the best predictor of *** adolescent SSD is significantly associated with family function,SSD overall is associated with an increased dysfunction of cognition and emotion,decreased quality of life,and high comorbidity with anxiety and depressive *** research is needed on suicide risk and cultural and gender-related *** the data of Chinese language studies,our research enriches the evidence-based findings related to the topics addressed in the text sections of the SSD chapter of ***,research gaps remain about SSD reliability,population-based prevalence,suicide risk,and cultural and gender-related issues.

Land use changes in Istanbul＇s Black Sea coastal regions between 1987 and 2007

Recently, important land use changes have occurred in the Black Sea coastal regions of istanbul due to urban growth and population increases. The objective of this study was to determine changes in land use in the Black Sea coastal regions of Jstanbul between 1987 and 2007. Landsat 30 m satellite images from 1987 and 2007 are used in the study. The study area is 1000 m in width from the coastline to the land and the study has been carried out using the controlled classification method to classify areas into residential, agricultural, forest, bare land, brush/grassland, and lake/pond land classes. Land use changes between 1987 and 2007 were analysed in detail. Residential areas of the Black Sea coastal regions of istanbul increased by 122% over the two decades. Also an increase of 55% in agriculture areas was observed, while there were decreases of 26% in forest areas and 15% in free land. A 21% increase in the area of brush and grassland took place. Furthermore 79% of the study area was covered by residential areas in 2007. It is probable that pressure on the Jstanbul coastal regions will continue due to migraton and rapid urbanization. Therefore, Istanbul＇s Black Sea coastal regions should be maintained using a sustainable coastal management plan.

In this article,two different methods,namely sub-equation method and residual power series method,have been used to obtain new exact and approximate solutions of the generalized Hirota-Satsuma system of equations,which is a coupled KdV *** fractional derivative is taken in the conformable *** of the obtained exact solutions were checked by substituting them into the corresponding system with the help of Maple symbolic computation *** results indicate that both methods are easy to implement,effective and *** are therefore ready to apply for various partial fractional differential equations.

Construction and Evaluation of a Combined Cyclophosphamide/Nanoparticle Anticancer Vaccine

Tumor immunotherapy is a rapidly emerging form of cancer treatment. In the current study, a nanoparticle-based vaccine was constructed and the efficacy was assessed through analysis of immune cell populations, tumor growth rates, and metastasis. The vaccine was fabricated through encapsulation of plasmid DNA encoding the tumor-associated antigen Mage-b, and the TLR9 agonist CpG oligodeoxynucleotides by a biodegradable polymer, poly(L,D-lactic-coglycolic acid) (PLGA). The size and shape of the nanoparticles suggested that they were an appropriate size for uptake by professional antigen presenting cells;dendritic cells. Furthermore, effects of the immunopotentiating drug cyclo-phosphamide was included to decrease systemic populations of regulatory T cells (Treg);immune system sentinels that down-regulate immune responses. The vaccine was assessed using the 4T1 murine mammary carcinoma model which is a model for stage IV breast cancer. The combined cyclophosphamide/nanoparticle vaccine was shown to significantly reduce 4T1 tumor growth rates and lung metastasis in female BALB/c mice.

Biochar has been touted as a long-term carbon sequestration ***,there are no studies evaluating biochar’s effect on oxygen(O_(2))consumption as a measure of the microbial respiration response to *** gain insight into this aspect,we evaluated O_(2) consumption rates to test the hypothesis that biochar is an efficient agent for carbon dioxide(CO_(2))sequestration in *** different biochar types and one activated charcoal were incubated alone and associated with three different soils for approximately 2 months in laboratory *** concentration of CO_(2) and O_(2) was periodically *** data presented here confirm that the CO_(2) production following biochar’s addition to soils results in a process that is correlated to oxygen ***,this overall stimulation is not clearly related to biochar *** carbon resulted in the highest statistically significant stimulation of activity,despite it possessing the lowest quantity of volatile carbon and mineral nutrient *** into consideration our results,we conclude that using biochar does achieve total carbon ***,the amount of available soil organic carbon following soil incorporation appears to be reduced following biochar addition and its long-term implication on this mineralizable soil organic carbon pool does deserve more research attention.

Cell Wall Lignin is Polymerised by Class Ⅲ Secretable Plant Peroxidases in Norway Spruce

Class Ⅲ secretable plant peroxidases occur as a large family of genes in plants with many functions and probable redundancy. In this review we are concentrating on the evidence we have on the catalysis of lignin polymerization by class Ⅲ plant peroxidases present in the apoplastic space in the xylem of trees. Some evidence exists on the specificity of peroxidase isozymes in lignin polymerization through substrate specificity studies, from antisense mutants in tobacco and poplar and from tissue and cell culture lines of Norway spruce （Picea abies） and Zinnia elegans. In addition, real time （RT-）PCR results have pointed out that many peroxidases have tissue specific expression patterns in Norway spruce. Through combining information on catalytic properties of the enzymes, on the expression patterns of the corresponding genes, and on the presence of monolignols and hydrogen peroxide in the apoplastic space, we can show that specific peroxidases catalyze lignin polymerization in the apoplastic space of Norway spruce xylem.

We previously demonstrated the safety and efficacy of fluoroquinolone-macrolide combination therapy in category Ⅱ chronic bacterial prostatitis （CBP）. The aim of this study is to retrospectively compare the microbiological and clinical findings of two treatment schemes for CBP based on the combination of azithromycin （500 rag, thrice-weekly） with a once-daily 500- or 750-mg dose of ciprofloxacin （Cipro-500 or Cipro-750 cohort, respectively）. Combined administration of azithromycin （1500 mg week^-1） with ciprofloxacin at the rate of 750 mg day^- 1 for 4 weeks rather than at 500 mg day^- 1 for 6 weeks increased the eradication rates from 62.35% to 77.32% and the total bacteriological success from 71.76% to 85.57%. A significant decrease in pain and voiding signs/symptoms and a significant reduction in inflammatory leukocyte counts and serum prostate-specific antigen （PSA） were sustained throughout an 18-month follow-up period in both groups. Ejaculatory pain, haemospermia and premature ejaculation were significantly attenuated on microbiological eradication in both groups, but the latter subsided more promptly in the Cipro-750 cohort. In total, 59 Cipro-750 patients showed mild-to-severe erectile dysfunction （ED） at baseline, while 22 patients had no ED on microbiological eradication and throughout the follow-up period. In conclusion fluoroquinolone-macrolide therapy resulted in pathogen eradication and CBP symptom attenuation, including pain, voiding disturbances and sexual dysfunction. A once-daily 750-mg dose of ciprofloxacin for 4 weeks showed enhanced eradication rates and lower inflammatory white blood cell counts compared to the 500-mg dose for 6 weeks. Our results are open to further prospective validation.

Hepatitis B-associated hepatocellular carcinoma (HBV-HCC) remains an intractable high-mortality solidtumor cancer that accounted for 42% of global HCC cases in 2019. Despite some developments in systemic therapy,only a small subset of late-stage HCC patients responds positively to recently developed therapeutic *** (miRNAs) act as an ancillary epigenetic system that can regulate genome expression in all cancerpathways including HCC. The molecular mechanisms of miRNA regulation in cancer pathogenesis offered researchersa new approach that was widely hoped would translate into miRNA-based drugs and diagnostics. Thirty years on,miRNA-based diagnostic and therapeutic agents for HCC remain a work-in-progress (WIP) and no current miRNAHCC clinical trial has progressed to Phase 4. The question remains why this is the case after 30 years and what is theway forward. The major ﬁndings and contribution of this paper are that it illustrates the complexity of the HBVmiRNA interactome in HBV-HCC in all cellular processes, as well as the ancillary role of miRNA in the epigeneticand immune systems. This is combined with a review of the outcomes and problems of clinical trials, to explain whymiRNA therapeutics and diagnostics have not progressed to approved drugs or serum-based diagnostic tests. The wayforward suggests a radical rethink might be so that involves the incorporation of AI, bioinformatics, andnanotechnology to solve the problem.

Proteome-wide alterations in an industrial clavulanic acid producing strain of Streptomyces clavuligerus

The usefulness of genetic/metabolic engineering for further improvement of industrial strains is subject of discussion because of the general lack of knowledge on genetic alterations introduced by iterative cycles of random mutagenesis in such *** industrial clavulanic acid(CA)-overproducer Streptomyces clavuligerus DEPA was assessed to understand proteome-wide changes that have occurred in a local industrial CA overproducer developed through succesive mutagenesis *** proteins that could be identified corresponded to 33 distinct ORFs for underrepresented ones and 60 ORFs for overrepresented *** CA biosynthetic enzymes were overrepresented in *** DEPA;carboxyethylarginine synthase(Ceas2),clavaldehyde dehydrogenase(Car)and carboxyethyl-arginine betalactam-synthase(Bls2)whereas the enzymes of two other secondary metabolites were underrepresented along with two important global regulators[two-component system(TCS)response regulator(SCLAV_2102)and TetR-family transcriptional regulator(SCLAV_3146)]that might be related with CA production and/or differentiation.g-butyrolactone biosynthetic protein AvaA2 was 2.6 fold underrepresented in *** *** levels of two glycolytic enzymes,2,3-bisphosphoglycerate-dependent phosphoglycerate mutase and phosophoglycerate kinase were found decreased while those of dihydrolipoyl dehydrogenase(E3)and isocitrate dehydrogenase,with two isoforms were found as significantly increased.A decrease of amino acid metabolism,methionine biosynthesis in particular,as well as S-adenosylmethionine synthetase appeared as one of the prominent mechanisms of success of *** DEPA strain as a prolific producer of *** levels of two enzymes of shikimate pathway that leads to the production of aromatic amino acids and aromatic secondary metabolites were also *** of the overrepresented stress proteins in *** DEPA included polynucleotide phosphorylase/polyadenylase(PNPase),ATP
