In the present research,cardanol based di-acrylic UV oligomer was synthesized by thiol-ene coupling followed by ring opening reaction with glycidyl *** intermediate as well as final diacrylate materials were analyzed by chemical as well as spectroscopic ***,ultraviolet(UV)radiation curable formulations were prepared by replacing commercial epoxy acrylate with synthesized UV oligomer in 10-50 wt%and applied on wood *** coated films were then evaluated for their optical,mechanical,chemical and thermal *** showed that up to 30 wt%amount of UVoligomer the coatings exhibited at par mechanical and chemical *** stain resistance of all the coatings was observed to be excellent.

The research work presented in this article deals with the synthesis of cardanol-based polyol and its curing with hexabutoxymethyl melamine(HBMM)for application in ***-based polyol was prepared via thiol-ene click reaction using *** present in the long chain of cardanol was successfully utilized to synthesize polyol via thiol-ene *** reaction was carried out between cardanol and thioglycerol in the presence of Irgacure 184(photoinitiator)and 1,8-Diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene(catalyst)under UV light for 12 h at 80°*** completion of the reaction,one mole of thioglycerol was successfully added across the double bond of a fatty chain of cardanol and confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and hydroxyl and iodine values were ***,the polyol thus prepared was cured with commercial HBMM in various proportions,such as 1:0.6,1:0.8 and 1:1,on an equivalent *** coatings were then characterized for mechanical,chemical,optical,thermal and anticorrosive *** was observed that coatings exhibited excellent performance properties as compared to that of its acrylic counterpart.

This study is focused on the effect of vibration induced by moving trains in tunnels on the surrounding ground and structures.A three-dimensional finite element model is established for a one-track railway tunnel and an adjacent twelve-storey building frame by using commercial software Midas GTS-NX(2019)and Midas *** study considered the moving load effect of a complete train,which varies with space as well as with *** effect of factors such as train speed,overburden pressure on the tunnel and variation in soil properties are studied in the time *** a result,the variations in horizontal and vertical acceleration for two different sites,i.e.,the free ground surface(without structure)and the area containing the structure,are ***,the displacement pattern of the raft foundation is plotted for different train *** lower speeds,the heaving phenomenon is negligible,but as the speed increases,both the heaving and differential settlement increase in the *** study demonstrates that the effect of moving train vibrations should be considered in the design of new nearby structures and proper ground improvement should be considered for existing structures.

The present paper deals with the investigation of microstructure and high-temperature hot corrosion behavior of high-velocity oxy fuel(HVOF)-produced coatings. Two powder coating compositions, namely, Ni22Cr10Al1Y alloy powder and Ni22Cr10Al1Y(80 wt%;microsized)–silicon carbide(SiC)(20 wt%;nano(N)) powder, were deposited on a T-22 boiler tube steel. The hot corrosion behavior of bare and coated steels was tested at 900°C for 50 cycles in Na2SO4–60 wt%V2O5 molten-salt environment. The kinetics of corrosion was established with weight change measurements after each cycle. The microporosity and microhardness of the as-coated samples have been reported. The X-ray diffraction,field emission-scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive spectroscopy, and X-ray mapping characterization techniques have been utilized for structural analysis of the as-coated and hot-corroded samples. The results showed that both coatings were deposited with a porosity less than2%. Both coated samples revealed the development of harder surfaces than the substrate. During hot corrosion testing, the bare T22 steel showed an accelerated corrosion in comparison with its coated counterparts. The HVOF-sprayed coatings were befitted effectively by maintaining their adherence during testing. The Ni22Cr10Al1Y–20 wt%SiC(N) composite coating was more effective than the Ni–22Cr–10Al–1Y coating against corrosion in the high-temperature fluxing process.

Guggal, a threatened species that is endemic to western India, is tapped to extract medicinally important oleo-gum-resin （guggul）. However, the plant dies after gum exudation. The indigenous tapping techniques used by local people were examined in Gujarat, India to dis-cover the scientific basis behind these techniques： selection of gum in-ducer, season of tapping, and plant parts to be tapped. First, the presence of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. commiphorae （Xac） in the gum suspen-sion used for tapping was established. This bacterium induces gum ooz-ing from the tapped plants and later, causes them to die off. The popula-tion of Xac in gum was found to decrease with the age of the gum. With that, fresh gum increased the tapping success. Second, local people pre-ferred tapping during the warm season, which we validated by determin-ing that Xac growth was best at 30 ＆#176;C. Tapping during September （mean temperature 25.7-30.0 ＆#176;C） clearly favoured growth of the pathogen and yielded maximum guggul. Multiple tapping on a mature tree ensured maximum gum extraction before its death. Finally, application of in-digenous technology under natural plant stands by the local people en-sured availability of this important raw drug for consumption. Our study established that the age-old traditional methods have a strong scientific basis. However, it is imperative to formulate strategies based on con-temporary scientific understanding to protect this natural resource before it becomes extinct.

A novel strategy for automatic test data generation using soft computing technique

Software testing is one of the most crucial and analytical aspect to assure that developed software meets pre- scribed quality standards. Software development process in- vests at least 50% of the total cost in software testing process. Optimum and efficacious test data design of software is an important and challenging activity due to the nonlinear struc- ture of software. Moreover, test case type and scope deter- mines the quality of test data. To address this issue, software testing tools should employ intelligence based soft comput- ing techniques like particle swarm optimization （PSO） and genetic algorithm （GA） to generate smart and efficient test data automatically. This paper presents a hybrid PSO and GA based heuristic for automatic generation of test suites. In this paper, we described the design and implementation of the proposed strategy and evaluated our model by performing ex- periments with ten container classes from the Java standard library. We analyzed our algorithm statistically with test ad- equacy criterion as branch coverage. The performance ade- quacy criterion is taken as percentage coverage per unit time and percentage of faults detected by the generated test data. We have compared our work with the heuristic based upon GA, PSO, existing hybrid strategies based on GA and PSO and memetic algorithm. The results showed that the test case generation is efficient in our work.
