We used Takydromus septentrionalis,a sexually size-monomorphic lacertid lizard,as a model system to test the hypothesis that sexual size monomorphism may evolve in lizards where reproductive performance is maximized at a similar body size for both *** allowed lizards housed in laboratory enclosures to lay as many clutches(for females)as they could or to mate as many times(for males)as they could in a breeding ***-assortative mating was weak but evident in ***,as revealed by the fact that male and female snout–vent lengths(SVLs)in mating pairs were significantly and positively *** frequency(indicative of male reproductive performance)varied from 1 to 8 per breeding season,generally increasing as SVL increased in adult males smaller than 67.4 mm *** frequency varied from 1 to 7 per breeding season,with female reproductive performance(determined by clutch frequency,annual fecundity,and annual reproductive output)maximized in females with a SVL of 68.0 *** to our hypothesis,the reproductive performance was maximized in the intermediate sized rather than the largest individuals in both sexes,and the body size maximizing reproductive performance was similar for both *** work could usefully investigate other lineages of lizards with sexually monomorphic species in a phylogenetic context to corroborate the hypothesis of this study.

Host alternation, an obligatory seasonal shifting between host plants of distant genetic relationship, has had significant consequences for the diversification and success of the superfamily of aphids. However, the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear. In this study, the molecular mechanism of host alternation was explored through a large-scale gene expression analysis of the mealy aphid Hyalopterus persikonus on winter and summer host plants. More than four times as many unigenes of the mealy aphid were significantly upregulated on summer host Phragmites australis than on winter host Rosaceae plants. In order to identify gene candidates related to host alternation, the differentially expressed unigenes of H. persikonus were compared to salivary gland expressed genes and secretome of Acyrthosiphon pisum. Genes involved in ribosome and oxidative phosphorylation and with molecular functions of heme-copper terminal oxidase activity, hydrolase activity and ribosome binding were potentially upregulated in salivary glands of//. persikonus on the summer host. Putative secretory proteins, such as detoxification enzymes （carboxylesterases and cytochrome P450s）, antioxidant enzymes （peroxidase and superoxide dismutase）, glutathione peroxidase, glucose dehydrogenase, angiotensin-converting enzyme, eadherin, and calreticulin, were highly expressed in H. persikonus on the summer host, while a SCP GAPR-I-like family protein and a salivary sheath protein were highly expressed in the aphids on winter hosts. These results shed light on phenotypic plasticity in host utilization and seasonal adaptation of aphids.

Elemental Compositions of Clinopyroxenes from Southern Okinawa Trough Basalt:Implications for Magmatism and Structural Environment in an Initial Back-Arc Basin

The major and trace elemental compositions of clinopyroxene from basalt were used to characterize the nature of the primitive magma and structural environment beneath the southern Okinawa Trough(SOT),which is an initial back-arc basin at a continental *** clinopyroxenes in the basalt were augite with variable Mg^(#)contents(73.37-78.22).The regular variations in major oxide contents(i.e.,CaO,FeO,TiO_(2),and Cr)with decreasing Mg#implied that the clinopyroxenes evolved from being enriched in Mg,Ca,and Cr to being enriched in Fe and *** clinopyroxenes had relatively low rare earth element concentrations(7.51×10^(-6) to 12.68×10^(-6))and negative Eu anomalies(δEu=0.67-0.95).The Kd_(cpx) values of clinopyroxenes(0.2-0.26),which were used to examine whether the clinopyroxene was equilibrated with its host basalt,demonstrate that these clinopyroxene phenocrysts were not captured crystals but were instead produced by crystallization differentiation of the *** calculated clinopyroxene crystallization temperatures showed a narrow range of 990-1061℃,and their crystallization pressures ranged from 2.0 to 3.2 *** geochemistry features of these clinopyroxenes indicated that the parent magma belonged to the subalkaline tholeiitic magma series and suggested that the magma experienced crystallization differentiation of olivine,plagioclase,and clinopyroxene,where the crystallization of plagioclase occurred earlier than that of *** with geophysical data,this research on primitive magma and its crystallization differentiation from clinopyroxene indicates that the SOT is in the stage of‘seafloor spreading’and that basaltic rocks produced from tholeiitic magma represent the generation of oceanic crust.

The bond market is an important market for investment and financing in China’s economic sectors,and also an important part of the monetary policy *** internal transmission of bond market is an important part of market interest rate transmission,which iscritical to the effectiveness of monetary ***,few scholars have studied the characteristics of interest rate transmission in *** in-depth study of the interest rate transmission mechanism and its dynamic evolution between different bond markets is conducive to clarify the pulse of transmission within Chinese bond market and to further unblock the transmission mechanism of monetary *** the perspective of system theory and based on the analysis method of Granger causality complex network,this paper finds that the interest rate transmission among various varieties in China’s bond market is relatively *** bonds and CDB bonds are the two core bond varieties of interest rate transmission in the bond ***,this study concludes that the medium and long-term interest rate played a dominant role in the transmission of market interest rate during the easing phase of monetary policy,while the short-term interest rate played a dominant role in the transmission of market interest rate during the tightening phase of monetary *** paper also gives enlightenment and suggestions.

In this work,a high-energy and high peak power chirped pulse amplifcation system with near difraction-limited beam quality based on tapered confned-doped fber(TCF)is experimentally *** TCF has a core numerical aperture of 0.07 with core/cladding diameter of 35/250µm at the thin end and 56/400μm at the thick *** a backward-pumping confguration,a maximum single pulse energy of 177.9μJ at a repetition rate of 504 kHz is realized,corresponding to an average power of 89.7 *** partially compensating for the accumulated nonlinear phase during the amplifcation process via adjusting the high order dispersion of the stretching chirped fber Bragg grating,the duration of the amplifed pulse is compressed to 401 fs with a pulse energy of 126.3μJ and a peak power of 207 MW,which to the best of our knowledge represents the highest peak power ever reported from a monolithic ultrafast fber *** the highest energy,the polarization extinction ratio and the M2 factor were respectively measured to be~19 dB and *** addition,the corresponding intensity noise properties as well as the short-and long-term stability were also examined,verifying a stable operation of the *** is believed that the demonstrated laser source could fnd important applications in,for example,advanced manufacturing and photomedicine.

The composition of mantle-derived basalts reflects the nature of their mantle source regions,which constrain magma generation and *** we present a new whole rock major and trace elements and phenocryst composition of the basaltic lava in the central Mariana *** data provide insights into the mantle source characteristics affected by subduction *** rocks range from basalts to basaltic andesites,which have high subduction-mobile element contents(e.g.,K,U,Th,LREE)related to *** calculated temperature and depth of magma generation are about 1300℃and 30 km,*** the results above suggest that the addition of hydrous fluid and/or a melt derived from a slab decreases the temperature of mantle partial melting and mildly modifies the composition of a mantle source,the mantle source lithology from which primary magma is generated remains to be peridotite.

In this paper, fault isolation issue for Light Rail Vehicle suspension system based on multi-sensor information fusion is discussed. The faults considered are the vertical damper fault and the vertical spring fault in suspension systems. The Eros is applied for similarity measurement in the fault feature database, Fast Fourier Transformation for nine sensor outputs equipped on the vehicle. After the belief function assignments are obtained by using Eros method, the belief function assignments are fused by using the rules of D-S evidence combination and the faulty component is determined and isolated. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by a case study.

The Okinawa Trough（OT） is a back-arc basin at an initial spreading stage that is under the influence of subduction of the Philippine Sea Plate. In this study, we analyzed the geochemical compositions of basaltic glass in the OT and discussed the effects of different magmatic sources, evolution, and subducted components in basalts. Our results showed that the middle and southern regions of the OT exhibit characteristics consistent with an iron-rich tholeiite series. Trace element proportions conform to the typical spider diagram pattern characteristic of back-arc basin basalts, rich in large ion lithophile elements（LILEs） including Rb, Ba, Pb, U, and Th, while depleted in high field-strength elements（HFSEs） including Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf, and Ti. The distribution of rare earth elements（REEs） is also consistent with enrichment by right-leaning light rare earth elements（LREEs）.The addition of enriched mantle type I（EMI） materials as well as mantle heterogeneity may have led to variable degrees of enrichment in different regions. The magma source of the middle trough has undergone crystallization towards pyroxene, while development of plagioclase was restricted partly, and the crystallization of spinel and olivine ceased altogether. At the same time, crystallization of the southern OT magma source was dominated by olivine and including the formation of plagioclase, pyroxene, and magnetite（or titanomagnetite）. Finally, the results of this study showed that 90% Th, 95% Ba in the southern basalt, 50%–70% Th and 70%–90% Ba in the middle basalt originated from subducted component. Different subducted component influence may be due to different subduction zone structural feature.

Thermo-reversible MWCNTs/Epoxy Polymer for Use in Self-healing and Recyclable Epoxy Adhesive

A self-healing and recyclable carbon tube/epoxy adhesive was prepared by epoxy monomer with Diels-Alder （DA） bonds, diethylenetriamine and polyethyleneimine modified multi-wall carbon nanotubes （MWCNTs）. The self-healing and recyclable ability was attained by thermally reversible Diels-Alder reaction between furan and maleimide in the epoxy monomer. By controlling the molar ratio of furfuryl glycidyl ether and 4,4＇-methylenebis（N-phenylmaleimide）, the glass transition temperature and mechanical properties of MWCNTs/epoxy adhesives were varied. The self-healing properties of MWCNTs/epoxy polymers were evaluated by lap shear experiment and the results showed that the MWCNTs/epoxy adhesives exhibited enhanced mechanical properties and excellent self-healing ability under heat stimulus. The healing efficiency was related to the molecule mobility and the conversion of DA reaction between furan and maleimide. The MWCNTs/epoxy adhesives also displayed excellent recyclable ability by transforming into soluble polymer under heating. These materials offer a wide range of possibilities to produce materials with healing and recyclable ability and have the potential to bring great benefits to our daily lives by enhancing the safety, performance, and lifetime of products.
