Three basic modules of gas-phase photochemical reactions involved in the formation of secondary aerosol are developed for modeling the concentration variation of precursors of aerosol, including ketone （RCOx）, aldehyde （ALD）, peroxyacetylnitrate （PAN）, NO2, and SO2, followed by numerical solution for each of the modules. Reasonable trends of concentration variation of the precursors can be obtained from the proposed modules.

Continental deep subduction after the closure of large oceanic basins is commonly ascribed to the gravitational pull of the subducting oceanic ***,it is not clear how continental lithosphere adjacent to small oceanic basins was subducted to mantle *** Sesia Zone in the Western Alps provides an excellent target for exploration of subduction dynamics in such a tectonic *** we report the first finding of coesite in a jadeite-bearing orthogneiss from the Sesia Zone,providing the first evidence for deep subduction of the continental crust to mantle depths for ultrahigh-pressure(UHP)metamorphism in this *** coesite inclusions were identified by laser Raman spectroscopy in two garnet *** on zircon U-Pb dating and trace element analysis, the UHP metamorphic age was constrained to be 76.0 ±1.0 *** phase equilibrium modeling yields peak metamorphic pressures of2.8-3.3 GPa,demonstrating the continental deep subduction to mantle depths of>80 *** subducted continental crust was a rifted hyperextended continental margin,which was converted to the passive continental margin during seafloor spreading and then deeply subducted during the oblique convergence between the Adria microplate and Eurasian plate in the Late *** the slab pull could only play a limited role in closing small oceanic basins for continental collision,the distal push of either continental breakup or seafloor spreading is suggested as the major driving force for the deep subduction of continental crust in the Western ***,deep subduction of the continental crust bordering small oceanic basins would have been induced by the far-field stress of compression,whereas that bordering large oceanic basins was spontaneous due to the oceanic slab *** provides a new insight into the geodynamic me chanism of continental deep subduction.

Two-dimensional nanomaterials have become a hot research topic, and progress in research on them in the past decade has been substantial. Here we demonstrate a molecule-based bottom-up method to synthesize freestanding polyoxometalate- based nanosheets in two different ways. The trans substitution of ligands with carboxylate functionality promoted the coordination of organically derivatized hexavanadate with zinc ions with preferential directionality, which led to the formation of coordination polymer nanosheets. Characterization with transmission electron microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, and infrared spectroscopy confirmed the morphology, structural composition, and preferential direction of the nanosheets. The microwave-assisted heating method and solvent addition method were proved to be effective for the preparation of POM-based nanosheet structures. The nanosheets were found to catalyze the aerobic oxidation of propanethiol （n-PrSH） to its corresponding disulfide （PrSSPr） under mild conditions.

Modeling and state of charge （SOC） estimation of lithium-ion （Li-ion） battery are the key techniques of battery pack management system （BMS） and critical to its reliability and safety operation. An auto-regressive with exogenous input （ARX） model is derived from RC equivalent circuit model （ECM） due to the discrete-time characteristics of BMS. For the time-varying environmental factors and the actual battery operating conditions, a variable forgetting factor recursive least square （VFFRLS） algorithm is adopted as an adaptive parameter identifica- tion method. Based on the designed model, an SOC estimator using cubature Kalman filter （CKF） algorithm is then employed to improve estimation performance and guarantee numerical stability in the computational procedure. In the battery tests, experimental results show that CKF SOC estimator has a more accuracy estimation than extended Kalman filter （EKF） algorithm, which is widely used for Li-ion battery SOC estimation, and the maximum estimation error is about 2.3%.

By turning a specifically designed conical part, complete process of metal cutting, in which the chatter occurs and expands, is recorded and analyzed. This process exposes that chatter vibration has two characters called continuity and break. The continuity character means that vibration extent enlarges continuously while chatter frequency is almost changeless as the cutting depth extends downwards continuously. The break one is that chatter frequency moves rapidly downwards to a lower level while chatter remains after the cutting depth reach another given value. It is confirmed through an exciting test that the two chatter frequencies obtained in chatter test belong to the natural frequencies of workpiece system and cutting tool system respectively. From the viewpoints of chatter energy supplying and chatter mass effect, the. chatter should occur on one of the two final executive components in its natural frequency. On this basis, a new chatter model with two chatter active bodies is proposed. This new model can better explain the above phenomenon, and adapt to chatter monitoring and improvement of component structure well.

The well-known sequentially lifted cover inequality is widely employed in solving mixed integer ***,it is still an open question whether a sequentially lifted cover inequality can be computed in polynomial time for a given minimal cover(Gu et al.(1999)).We show that this problem is N P-hard,thus giving a negative answer to the question.
