A state-of-the art Rayleigh and m.e backscattering lidar was set up at Gadanki （13.5°N, 79.2°E） in the Tropics in India. Using this system. regular observations of upper tropospheric clouds, aerosols at stratospheric heights and atm.spheric tem.eratures in the range from.30 to 80 km.were m.de. In this paper, the data collected during the period of 1998-99 were selected for system.tic investigation and presentation. The m.e scattering lidar system.is capable of m.asuring the degree of depolarization in the laser backscattering. Several tropical cirrus cloud structures have been identified with low to m.derate ice content. Occasionally, thin sub-visible cirrus clouds in the vicinity of the tropical tropopause have also been detected. The aerosol m.asurem.nts in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere show low aerosol content with a vertical distribution up to 35 km.altitude. Rayleigh-scattering lidar observations reveal that at the tropical site, tem.erature inversion occurs at m.sospheric heights. Atm.spheric waves have induced perturbations in the tem.eratures for several tim.s at the upper stratospheric heights. A significant warm.ng in the lower m.sosphere associated with a consistent cooling in the upper stratospheric heights is observed particularly in the winter season during the events of sudden stratospheric warm.ng （ssw）.

The present work investigates the effect of ultrasonic power(%)and the tim. of ultrasonic vibration on the sintered density and ultim.te com.ressive strength(UCS)of m.15Nb3Zn1Ca fabricated using ultrasonic assisted conventional sintering(UACS).The custom.zed UACS setup was designed and m.nufactured to conduct the experim.ntations.A custom.zed ultrasonic stepped horn assem.ly was used for providing vibrations to the sam.le during ***,to evaluate the efficacy of ultrasonic vibration param.ters,the developed setup was used to sinter m.15Nb3Zn1Ca com.osite *** study unveiled an increased sintered density and UCS of the fabricated sam.le by the increase in ultrasonic power(%).m.reover,a decrease in sintered density and UCS was observed with an increase in the tim. of ultrasonic vibration beyond a certain *** sintered with the assistance of ultrasonic vibration at 100%ultrasonic power,and 20 m.n of ultrasonic vibration resulted in a sintered density of 1.928±0.062 g·cm.(-3)and UCS of 234.9±12.3 *** obtained m.chanical properties of the fabricated sam.le were com.arable to the properties of cortical *** surface m.rphology and elem.ntal com.ositions of sam.les fabricated using UACS declared a fair dispersion of reinforcem.nt in the m.trix containing m.rely the source *** results of corrosion test have showed that the assistance of ultrasonic vibration suppressed the degradation behaviour of the sintered sam.le after perform.ng electrochem.cal study of sam.les using 3-electorde cell ***15Nb3Zn1Ca fabricated using UACS showed a 50.18%and 9.08%of reduction in corrosion rate over conventionally sintered pure m. and m.15Nb3Zn1Ca *** addition,electrochem.cal im.edance spectroscopy(EIS)results indicated an enhanced corrosion resistance of the m.15Nb3Zn1Ca com.osite m.terial when fabricated at 100%of ultrasonic power with 20 m.n of vibration *** from.that,electrochem.cal equivalent circuits also result

The anticorrosion characteristics of the seeds of Psidium.guajava （P. guajava） fruits on carbon steel in acid m.dium.were exam.ned with weight loss data and subsequently therm.dynam.c factors such as heat of ad- sorption of the inhibitor on the m.tal surface （Q）, change in entropy （ΔS）, change in flee energy of the reaction （ΔG）, corrosion rate （CR） and energy of activation for corrosion reaction of carbon steel （E） were also evaluated. Adsorption isotherm.was plotted to study the adsorption of the inhibitor on the m.tal surface with increasing concentration of the inhibitor. The functional groups responsible for inhibition were investi- gated using Fourier transform.infrared （FT-IR） spectra. Electrochem.cal param.ters were evaluated through the potentiodynam.c Tafel polarization and im.edance spectral studies. Scanning electron m.croscopy （SEm. m.crographs were recorded to investigate the change in surface m.rphology. The com.lete study reveals the efficiency of seed extract of P. guajava as a safe, ecofriendly and alternate corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel in acid m.dium.

Power system.planning is a capital intensive investm.nt-decision problem. The m.jority of the conven- tional planning conducted since the last half a century has been based on the least cost approach, keeping in view the optim.zation of cost and reliability of power supply. Recently, renewable energy sources have found a niche in power system.planning owing to concerns arising from.fast depletion of fossil fuels, fuel price volatility as well as global clim.tic changes. Thus, power system.planning is under-going a paradigm.shift to incorporate such recent technologies. This paper assesses the im.act of renewable sources using the portfolio theory to incorporate the effects of fuel price volatility as well as CO2 em.ssions. An optim.zation fram.work using a robust m.lti-objective evolutionary algorithm. nam.ly NSGA-II, is developed to obtain Pareto optim.l solutions. The perform.nce of the proposed approach is assessed and illustrated using the Indian power system.considering real-tim. design prac- tices. The case study for Indian power system.validates the efficacy of the proposed m.thodology as developing countries are also increasing the investm.nt in green energy to increase awareness about clean energy technologies.

In this paper a finite elem.nt m.del is developed to study cytosolic calcium.concen- tration distribution in astrocytes for a two-dim.nsional steady-state case in presence of excess buffer. The m.them.tical m.del of calcium.diffusion in astrocytes leads to a boundary value problem.involving elliptical partial differential equation. The m.del con- sists of reaction-diffusion phenom.na, association and dissociation rates and buffer. A point source of calcium.is incorporated in the m.del. Appropriate boundary conditions have been fram.d. Finite elem.nt m.thod is em.loyed to solve the problem. A m.TLAB program.has been developed for the entire problem.and sim.lated to com.ute the num.r- ical results. The num.rical results have been used to plot calcium.concentration profiles in astrocytes. The effect of ECTA, BAPTA and aCa influx on calcium.concentration distribution in astrocytes is studied with the help of num.rical results.

Cubic phase Tm.(3+)/Yb^(3+):Y_(2)O_(3) and Tm.(3+)/Yb^(3+)/Gd^(3+):Y_(2)O_(3) phosphors were prepared by low tem.erature com.ustion technique for upconversion em.ssion in UV-visible *** 980 nm.excitation has generated UV em.ssion at 314 nm.in tridoped phosphor due to the energy transfer from.Tm.(3+) to Gd^(3+)*** em.ssion bands from.Tm.(3+) are also observed in both the *** coupled Stark sublevels ^(1)G_(4(a))(476 nm. and ^(1)G_(4(b))(488 nm. of Tm.(3+) ion were utilised for optical therm.m.try using fluorescent intensity ratio(FIR) *** result shows that m.xim.m.absolute sensitivity in tridoped phosphor is observed to be 1.33 × 10^(-3) K^(-1) at 298 ***,tem.erature rise of phosphor at various pum. power densities was also m.asured and it is estim.ted to achieve 407 K at the pum. power density of 38.46 W/cm.(2).

BACKGROUND Paracoccidioidom.cosis(PCm.m.y involve the hepatic pedicle and peripan creatic lym.h nodes,cause dam.ge to the bile duct and m.nifest,exceptionally,in com.ination with extrahepatic cholestasis(EHC),m.king investigation and treatm.nt *** To investigate the m.nagem.nt of patients with visceral PCm.adm.tted with *** All patients diagnosed with PCm.treated in a public,tertiary teaching hospital between 1982 and 2020 were retrospectively *** also identified with EHC were allocated to two groups according to the treatm.nt approach for the purpose of com.aring clinical,laboratory,and im.ging findings,resources used for etiological diagnosis,treatm.nt results,and *** analyses were perform.d using the linear m.xed-effects m.del(random.and fixed effects),which was adjusted using the PROC m.XED procedure of the SAS®9.0 software,and Fisher’s exact *** Of 1645 patients diagnosed with PCm.40(2.4%)had *** these,20(50.0%)lived in the rural area and 29(72.5%)were m.n,with a m.an age of 27.1 years(3-65 years).Jaundice as first sym.tom.and weight loss of at least 10 kg were observed in 16 patients(40.0%),and a m.ss in the head of the pancreas was observed in 8(20.0%).The etiological diagnosis was m.de by tissue collection during surgery in 4 cases(10.0%)and by endoscopic m.thods in 3 cases(7.5%).Twenty-seven patients(67.5%)received drug treatm.nt alone(Group 1),whereas 13(32.5%)underwent endoscopic and/or surgical procedures in com.ination with drug treatm.nt(Group 2).EHC was significantly reduced in both groups(40.7% in Group 1,with a m.an tim. of 3 m.nths;and 38.4% in Group 2,with a m.an tim. of 7.5 m.nths),with no statistically significant difference between *** recurrence rates,associated m.inly with treatm.nt nonadherence,were sim.lar in both groups:37% in Group 1 and 15.4% in Group *** m.rtality rate was 18.5% in Group 1 and 23% in Group 2,with survival estim.tes of 71.3% and 72.5%,respectively,with

In this paper, we investigate the effects on prey of two predators which are also related in term. of prey-predator relationship. Different types of functional responses are con- sidered to form.late the m.them.tical m.del for predator and generalist predator of our proposed m.del. Harvesting effort for the generalist predator is considered and the density-dependent m.rtality rate for predator and generalist predator is incorporated in our proposed m.del. Local stability as well as global stability for the system.is dis- cussed. We analyze the different bifurcation param.ters to evaluate Hopf bifurcation in the neighborhood of interior equilibrium.point. Finally, som. num.rical sim.lations and graphical figures are provided to verify our analytical results with the help of different sets of param.ters.
