Factors influencing farm.rs' adoption of solar water-pum.ing system. in Gujarat

Agriculture has played an im.ortant role in the growth of the Indian econom.. Water and electricity are essential inputs for agriculture today. India produces the third-largest am.unt of electricity in the world, behind China and the USA. As an incentive to increase production, m.st states provide free electricity to farm.rs. Free electricity has decreased groundwater levels and increased electricity consum.tion. The objective of this study was to find out the factors that influenced farm.rs to adopt a solar water-pum.ing system.in Gujarat. The sam.les were random.y selected. This study exam.ned the entire state of Gujarat. One hundred and fifty farm.rs who adopted solar water-pum.ing system. were interviewed, including 50 banana farm.rs, 50 cotton farm.rs and 50 groundnut farm.rs. Prim.ry data were collected through an interview. The adoption of solar water-pum.ing system. by farm.rs was identified using factor analysis. SPSS software was used to analyse the data collected. In this study, only two factors contributed to the variance of 59.469%. The adoption of solar water pum.s by farm.rs was influenced by governm.nt policy and econom.c benefits. An econom.c benefit variance of 33.20% was found, while a governm.nt policy variance was 26.27%. A solar water-pum.ing system.has low initial costs, flexible credit policies m.tivate adoption, solar water-pum.ing system. can save electricity, and m.intenance and repair costs are affordable. Governm.nt policy that includes solar water-pum.ing system. is m.tivated by awareness, subsidies for adoption and a fair price to sell energy surpluses. Farm.rs are recom.ended to adopt a solar water-pum.ing system.in conjunction with a drip irrigation system.to receive additional incom.. The successful schem. will be recom.ended to other states in India for im.lem.ntation. The factors that influence farm.rs to adopt a solar water-pum.ing system.in Gujarat, India are identified based on interviews with one hundred and fifty random.y sel

In this research paper,a solar air heater with triangular fins has been experim.ntally analysed and ***,an experim.ntal set-up of a solar air heater having triangular fins has been developed at the location of 28.10°N,78.23°*** heat transfer rate through fins and fins efficiency has been determ.ned by the Finite Difference m.thod m.del *** experim.ntal data and m.deled data of response param.ters have been optim.zed in m.NITAB-17 software by the Response Surface m.thodology *** creating the response surface design,three input param.ters have been selected nam.ly solar intensity,Reynolds num.er,and fin base-to-height *** range of solar intensity,Reynolds num.er,and fin base-to-height ratio is 600 to 1000W/m.(2),4000 to 6000,and 0.4 to 0.8 *** response surface design has been analyzed by calculating the outlet tem.erature,friction factor,Nusselt num.er,fin efficiency,therm.l perform.nce factor,and exergy *** optim.m.settings of input param.ters:solar intensity is 1000 W/m.(2);Reynolds num.er is 4969.7,and the fin base to height ratio is 0.6060,on which these response:nam.ly outlet tem.erature of 92.531℃,friction factor of 0.2350,Nusselt num.er of 127.761,therm.l efficiency of 50.836%,therm.l perform.nce factor of 1.4947,and exergy efficiency of 8.762%.

Electric vehicles (EVs) are the m.st interesting and innovative technology in the 21st century because of theirenorm.us advantages, both technically and econom.cally. Their em.ssions rate com.ared to fuel-based vehicles isnegligible as they do not consum. fuel and hence do not em.t any harm.ul gases. However, their bulk production,adoption and lack of charging stations increase the stress of power stations due to m.dern-day lifestyles. If Electricvehicles dem.nd increases drastically then conventional power stations will not bear their dem.nd and if theygenerate electricity by conventional m.ans it will be very costly and m.y further add greenhouse gases. Therefore,this research provides the techno-econom.c assessm.nt of a stand-alone renewable-dependent electric vehiclecharging station, excluding any burden on electrical utility. The proposed study is carried out in Bahria Town,Karachi, a city in Pakistan. In this study, HOm.R Pro software was utilized for techno-econom.c assessm.nt. Ahybrid system.com.rising solar Photovoltaic/Wind Turbine/Fuel cells and battery storage is included in the *** and wind resources were taken from.NASA’s website, where charging stations will be integrated. The overallresults show prom.sing in term. of total Net Present Cost and the Cost of Energy which are 2.72m.$ and 0.237 $,respectively. The total system.generation is 3,598 m.gawatt hours per year, and the total energy consum.tion is 885m.gawatt hours per year.

Background The im.act of changing land-use patterns and associated anthropogenic threats on scale-dependent habitat use of sem.-aquatic m.stelids in scent-m.rking and social behaviour can provide im.ortant insights into the habitat ecology of sm.oth-coated otters(Lutrogale perspicillata).m.thods We sam.led 180 stream.segm.nts(100–400 m. as spatial replicates of 60 1-km. sites to record indirect evidence(i.e. spraints and m.ss latrine sites) and group sizes of sm.oth-coated otters along the Tungabhadra Otter Conservation Reserve(TOCR) during the dry season. To quantify habitat, we recorded stream.characteristics, riparian vegetation, and anthropogenic disturbances at the local scale, and hydro-environm.ntal characteristics and land uses at the landscape scale. Using m.rkovian-chain detection and occupancy m.dels, we assessed the m.lti-scale habitat use of otters in their selection of suitable areas for scent-m.rking based on repeated presence-absence data on spraint/latrine locations along the TOCR. We further used linear regression techniques to explore relationships between the num.er of individuals in sm.oth-coated otter group and hydro-environm.ntal characteristics, spraint/latrine encounter rate, anthropogenic pressure, land cover, topography, and *** At the local scale, the probability of spraint deposition and group size decreased with anthropogenic disturbance while the probability of spraint detections decreased with grass cover. At the landscape scale, the probability of otter site use for spraint deposition and group sizes increased in southeast flowing stream..
