Assessment of reproductive health service utilization in urban slums: Evidence from Western Rajasthan

Objective:To assess the utilization of reproductive health services in urban slum of Jodhpur city,***:A community based cross-sectional study was conducted in an urban slums of Jodhpur city amongst 300 married women of reproductive age between March and June ***-structured questionnaire was used to gather demographic data and information about utilization of antenatal care(ANC)services,delivery and post-partum ***:The majority of females were aged less than 25 years(n=195;65.0%),married after 18 years(n=240;80%),living in extended families(n=265;88.3%)and with monthly family income less than 10000 rupees(n=182;60.7%).Statistically significant associations were found between≥4 ANC visits and educational level of secondary and above(OR 2.47,95%CI 1.03–6.28;P=0.04),older age(OR 15.70,95%CI 14.87–16.54 for women aged 26-35 years,OR 16.14,95%CI 12.12–20.01 for women aged≥36 years;P<0.01),and backward and general castes(OR 15.91,95%CI 13.57–17.85 for backward caste and OR 8.11,95%CI 8.07–8.26 for general category of caste;P<0.01).Seven percent of females had undergone *** age was associated with higher risks of postpartum complications(OR 1.06,95%CI 1.01–1.57 for women aged 26-35 years,OR 3.56,95%CI 1.29–4.69 for women aged≥36 years;P<0.01).In addition,risks of postpartum complications were associated with backward and general castes(OR 1.69,95%CI 1.34–2.13 for backward classes and OR 5.01,95%CI 4.29–5.31 for general category castes;P<0.01),and more than 4 ANC visits(OR 0.20,95%CI 0.09–0.34;P<0.01).Conclusions:More frequent ANC visits are associated with a lower risk of postpartum ***,a high utilization of reproductive health services represents good implementation of reproductive and child health programme at the peripheral level resulting in a stark rise in maternal health indicators in the state of Rajasthan.

There has been an explosion of cloud services as organizations take advantage of their continuity,predictability,as well as quality of service and it raises the concern about latency,energy-efficiency,and *** increase in demand requires new configurations of networks,products,and service *** this purpose,the software-defined network is an efficient technology that enables to support the future network functions along with the intelligent applications and packet *** work analyzes the offline cloud scenario in which machines are efficiently deployed and scheduled for user processing *** is evaluated in terms of reducing bandwidth,task execution times and latencies,and increasing throughput.A minimum execution time algorithm is used to compute the completion time of all the available resources which are allocated to the virtual machine and lion optimization algorithm is applied to packets in a cloud *** proposed work is shown to improve the throughput and latency rate.

We work on photon production through annihilation and Compton, and annihilation with scattering (AWS) processes through a quark-gluon plasma (QGP) in high energy nuclear collision incorporating the parametrization factors in strong coupling value and thermal dependent quark mass obtained through a coupling value. We find that photon yield increases with the increasing of the temperature and dominated by early times. We also compare the influence of coupling value on the spectrum of thermal photons. The production rate of photons is observed in the range of low and intermediate transverse momentum. The results are compared with other work.

We study the leading order processes for photon production using a phenomenological model of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) in relativistic heavy-ion collisions incorporating the parametrization factors in thermal dependent quark mass. The measurement of photon emission provides valuable insights into the early conditions of QGP. The production rate is observed in the low and intermediate range of energy and transverse momentum. The photon yield is found to increase marginally with the effect of thermal dependent quark mass. The results are little enhanced and in good agreement with other work.

We read with great interest the article, ＂Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease may not be a severe disease at presentation among Asian Indians＂ by Madan et at in the recent issue of WJG. Twenty-eight （55%） out of 51 patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease （NAFLD） who presented with abnormal transaminases had histological evidence of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis （NASH）. The majority of patients had grade 1 [32 （63%）] or grade 2 [16 （31%）] inflammation and either had no [23 （45%）] fibrosis or stage I [19 （37%）] fibrosis. None of the patients had cirrhosisf11. We agree with Madan et al that Asian Indians with NAFLD who present with unexplained increase in transaminases may have mild disease at presentation on the basis of similar observations made by us. NAFLD has a spectrum which includes patients with only steatosis and NASH that can progress to cirrhotic and hepatocellular carcinoma.

A 4-month-old male baby who presented in a moribund condition with seizures was found to have hepatomegaly,hypoglycemia and milky *** triglycerides were markedly elevated(3168 mg/dL) with cholesterol being 257 mg/dL and high density lipoprotein levels were low(19 mg/dL).The possibility of glycogen storage disease type Ⅰ was considered in the *** with glycogen storage disease type Ⅰ may present like *** association of hepatomegaly, hypoglycemia and abnormal lipid profile stated above should alert the physician to consider glycogen storage disease type Ⅰ in the diagnosis.

The main objective of the present investigation is to study the vibration of visco-elastic parallelogram plate whose thickness varies parabolically. It is assumed that the plate is clamped on all the four edges and that the thickness varies parabolically in one direction i.e. along length of the plate. Rayleigh-Ritz technique has been used to determine the frequency equation. A two terms deflection function has been used as a solution. For visco-elastic, the basic elastic and viscous elements are combined. We have taken Kelvin model for visco-elasticity that is the combination of the elastic and viscous elements in parallel. Here the elastic element means the spring and the viscous element means the dashpot. The assumption of small deflection and linear visco-elastic properties of “Kelvin” type are taken. We have calculated time period and deflection at various points for different values of skew angles, aspect ratio and taper constant, for the first two modes of vibration. Dilepton emission is calculated from quark-gluon plasma (QGP) with the consideration of temperature dependent chemical potential (TDCP). The model is considered to be quasi-model and hence take the dynamical quark mass as a finite value dependence on temperature. The temperature in quark mass enhances in the growth of dilepton emission rates. The emission rate of dilepton spectrum is shown in the intermediate mass region (IMR) of 1.0 - 4.0 GeV and its rate is observed to be a strong increasing function of the temperature dependent chemical potential for quark and anti-quark annihilation.

Diffusion-Reaction (DR) equation has been used to model a large number of phenomena in nature. It may be mentioned that a linear diffusion equation does not exhibit any traveling wave solution. But there are a vast number of phenomena in different branches not only of science but also of social sciences where diffusion plays an important role and the underlying dynamical system exhibits traveling wave features. In contrast to the simple diffusion when the reaction kinetics is combined with diffusion, traveling waves of chemical concentration are found to exist. This can affect a biochemical change, very much faster than straight diffusional processes. This kind of coupling results into a nonlinear (NL) DR equation. In recent years, memory effect in DR equation has been found to play an important role in many branches of science. The effect of memory enters into the dynamics of NL DR equation through its influence on the speed of the travelling wavefront. In the present work, chemotaxis equation with source term is studied in the presence of finite memory and its solution is compared with the corresponding chemotaxis equation without finite memory. Also, a comparison is made between Fisher-Burger equation and chemotaxis equation in the presence of finite memory. We have shown that nonlinear diffusion-reaction-convection equation is equivalent to chemotaxis equation.
