Ononin inhibits triple-negative breast cancer lung metastasis by targeting the EGFR-mediated PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway

The spreading of cancer cells from the primary tumor site to other parts of the body,known as metastasis,is the leading cause of cancer recurrence and mortality in patients with triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC).Overexpression of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)is observed in approximately 70%of TNBC *** is crucial for promoting tumor metastasis and associated with poor ***,it is vital to identify effective therapeutic strategies targeting EGFR ***,an isoflavonoid found in various plants,such as clover and soybeans,has been shown to have anticancer properties in several *** the present study,we aimed to investigate the effects of ononin on TNBC lung metastasis and the associated molecular *** used various assays,including cell viability,colony formation,Transwell,wound healing,ELISA,Western blotting,and staining techniques,to achieve this *** results demonstrated that ononin effectively suppressed cellular proliferation and induced apoptosis,as evidenced by the cell viability assay,colony formation assay,and expression of apoptosis markers,and reduced the metastatic capabilities of TNBC *** effects were achieved through the direct suppression of cell adhesion,invasiveness and ***,in TNBC xenograft lung metastatic models,ononin treatment significantly reduced tumor growth and lung ***,ononin reversed the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)by downregulating the expression of EMT markers and matrix metalloproteinases,as confirmed by Western blot ***,ononin treatment reduced EGFR phosphorylation and suppressed the PI3K,Akt,and m TOR signaling pathways,which was further confirmed using EGFR agonists or ***,ononin treatment did not exert any toxic effects on liver or kidney *** conclusion,our findings suggest that ononin is a safe and potentially therapeutic treatment for TNBC metastasis that targets the EGFRm

Large Scale Multiplication of Casuarina junghuhniana Miq. Clonal Plants through Mini-cutting Technique

The modern concept of meeting the customer’s requirements in better products at low costs in a sustainable manner is possible only through innovative *** nodal cutting technique is the most widely used method for large scale propagation of Casuarina,Eucalyptus and other pulpwood species in *** Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited(TNPL)has started large scale multiplication of Casuarina junghuhniana *** mini-cutting technique from indoor clonal mini hedges raised in sand *** compared to stem/nodal cuttings,indoor clonal mini hedges raised in sand beds improve the rooting potential,quality of root systems and are time-and *** productivity of cuttings is increased five times in indoor clonal hedge orchard than conventional stem/nodal *** rooting percentage also improved to 90%without rooting hormone whereas the same is only 50%in stem *** plant developed through mini-cutting technique has more lateral root system which helps the plants/trees to withstand during heavy *** such stump derived stock plants by intensively managing indoor sand bed clonal mini hedges resulted in a noticeable enhancement of cutting capacity for adventitious rooting as well as the overall quality of the plants produced in much shorter period with easier and cheaper *** study reveals that mini-cutting method is ideal propagation technique for large scale propagation of *** clones in India.

Hot Deformation Behavior of 2124 Al Alloy

The mechanical behavior of 2124 Al alloy produced by powder metallurgy was investigated with compression test at different temperatures and strain rates. The tests were performed in the temperature range of 300℃～500℃ and at strain rates from 0.001 s^-1 to 1.0 s^-1. The compression flow curves exhibited an initial sharp increase with strain, followed by monotonous hardening. The maximum stress decreased with decreasing strain rate and increasing temperature. The hot deformation characteristics of the material were studied using processing maps. The domain of safety and unsafe regime were identified and validated through microstructural examination.

This research introduces a challenge in integrating and cleaning the data,which is a crucial task in object *** the object is detected and then measured,the vibration at different light intensities may inﬂuence the durability and reliability of mechanical systems or structures and cause problems such as damage,abnormal stopping,and *** research failed to improve the accuracy rate and the computation time in tracking an object and in the vibration *** solve all these problems,this proposed research simpliﬁes the scaling factor determination by assigning a known real-world dimension to a predetermined portion of the image.A novel white color sticker of the known dimensions marked with a color dot is pasted on the surface of an object for the best result in the template matching using the Improved Up-Sampled Cross-Correlation(UCC)*** vibration measurement is calculated using the Finite-Difference Algorithm(FDA),a machine vision systemﬁtted with a macro lens sensor that is capable of capturing the image at a closer range,which does not affect the quality of displacement measurement from the video ***ﬁeld test was conducted on the TAFE(Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited)tractor parts,and the percentage of error was recorded between 30%and 50%at very low vibration values close to zero,whereas it was recorded between 5%and 10%error in most high-accelerations,the essential range for vibration ***,the suggested system is more suitable for measuring the vibration of stationary machinery having low frequency *** use of a macro lens enables to capture of image frames at very close-ups.A 30%to 50%error percentage has been reported when the vibration amplitude is very ***,this study is not suitable for Nano vibration analysis.

Survey and Conservation of Indigenous Fruits of Western Ghats

Western Ghats region of India is one of the biodiversity hotspots of the world. The topography, wide rainfall variation and varied temperature conditions enable inhabitancy of several plant species. This plant wealth is being used in various forms by tribes and natives of the area for centuries. These gain further importance due to the fact that ripe fruits serve as a source of food and medicine to tribes throughout the year. These wild fruits are source of minerals and vitamins in the diet of the rural people. The potential productivity and floristic diversity of the area have attracted the experts. There are more than 50 wild edible fruit species are available in Western Ghats region. These belong to 25 families and 38 genera. Out of the 25 families, the important ones as a source of fruits are Apocynaceae, Anacardiaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Moraceae, Sapotaceae and Sapindaceae. The fruiting period of different species ranges between two and six months. The highest number of species mature from April to May. The availability of these fruits reduces after October. Some of these fruits, such as Mangifera indica, Artocarpus heterophyllus, Carissa carandas, Emblica officinalis and Syzygium cuminii, have been given emphasis in order to identify high yield and high fruit quality clones and standardization of production technologies. The collection, conservation and utilization on some of the fruits, such as Garcinia indica and Garcinia gummigutta have started at various research organizations. Some other fruits, namely Chrysophyllum roxburghii （Family Sapotaceae）, Canthium parviflora Lamk syn. Plectronia parviflora （Lam.） Bedd. （Family Rubiaceae）, Elaeagnus conferta Roxbsyn, Elaeagnus latifolia L. （Family Elaeagnaceae）, Securina leucopyrus syn. Flueggea leucopyrus （Family Euphorbiaceae）, Elaeocarpus tuberculatus Roxb. （Family Elaeocarpaceae）, Nephelium stipulacum Bedd. syn. Soil Properties of a Tropical Savannah in the Eastern Ghats of India

As an outcome of globalization and liberalization of economic policies, exploration for and mining of minerals have become one of the recent lucrative trades in India. Due to stringent environment legislations, reclamation and reforestation of the mined out sites have become obligatory. Information on distribution of nutrients before and after mining provides valuable insights while developing and executing the strategy for reclamation and revegetation of the mined out sites. Successful mine reclamation plan chiefly requires information on the soil characteristics in the area during its natural state. With this aim, investigations into spatial and temporal variations in soil nutrients and other physico-chemical parameters among three proposed bauxite mine locations near Araku valley, India were conducted. Soil samples were collected every three months for two years. At each location, samples from three sites in triplicates from four successive layers (0 - 5 cm, 5 - 10 cm, 10 - 15 cm and 15 - 20 cm depth) were collected. Concentrations of Total Organic Carbon (TOC), Total Nitrogen (TN), Total Available Phosphorous (TAP), Total Available Sulphur (TAS), C:N, C:P, and C:S decreased along the soil layers, while N:P increased. All the parameters studied varied significantly among months (GLM-ANOVA, P 0.05). Principal Component Analysis (PCA) done on the soil physico-chemical dataset showed first 5 components (Eigen Value > 1) explaining 87.3% of the total variance. Of these, the first component accounted for 21.0% and the second for 20.1% of the total variance. The principal components represented C:N/Soil N, C:P/Soil P/N:P, EC, Soil S/C:S and Soil C axes, respectively.

Low Cost Driving Trainer Assistance System

The multiple tasks involved in real-time driving are challenging tasks for any new learner of driving. The proposed Low Cost Driving Trainer Assistance System (DTAS) helps the amateur drivers to learn the basic skills involved while driving a vehicle, in particular a 4 wheeler like a car. The proposed system not only helps the novice drivers to gain confidence but also saves money spent on fuels while learning. The proposed DTAS system uses a steering wheel, an accelerator pedal, a brake pedal, gear mechanism and virtual (simulated) road environment. We also monitor and record the vital system parameters during the training period and analyze the same. The proposed DTAS involves operations like taking a turn, braking, accelerating, using dashboard functions and changing gears.

开发了一种基于D-赖氨酸醛复合物的绿色环境友好皮革鞣制工艺。通过环境影响评估,考察了D-赖氨酸醛鞣革的物理化学性能、形态特征、耐胶原溶解性和感官性能。采用收缩温度仪、差示扫描量热分析、热力学分析,考察鞣革的收缩温度、变性温度和机械强度。结果表明:鞣革的上述性能均好于醛单独鞣革,与铬鞣革相当。鞣革截面纤维结构的密度表明:与醛鞣革相比,其结构和纤维束的分散度较差,但鞣革显示出比传统鞣制鞣革具有更好的耐胶原溶解性。D-赖氨酸醛鞣革的丰满性、柔软性,粒面光滑度、外观和颜色均优于醛单独鞣革。环境影响评估表明:与传统鞣制工艺相比,该工艺鞣后废液中的总固体含量,如溶解固体含量和悬浮物含量均显著减少。同时,由于D-赖氨酸GTA鞣制工艺,减少了化学品的消耗量,节约了污水治理成本,从而具有成本优势。与铬鞣工艺相比,该工艺减少了有毒废弃物的排放、环境影响小,是一种有利于环保发展的绿色清洁制革技术。
